George W. Bush’s racial discrimination against black people pursuant to Hurricane Katrina is definitely to be blamed and recognized as a factor contributing to his downfall.

In consideration of Bush’s lies that led to the illegitimate Iraq war: he knew or should have known that the American people would discover the lies.

Bush is like an idiot: he lied about the reasons for attacking Iraq with no particular plan as to how to conceal the lies.

Trying to duck responsiblity for the war, by making note that his presidency was responsible for the mortgage meltdown?

I thought we were supposed to thank George Bush, every day we are lucky to get up and breath, for ridding the world of Saddam Hussein.

Did he wish him away? Did Saddam magically vanish? I thought Bush made him toast?

Gosh Darn, by golly, I seem to remember Saddam swinging from a noose and Bush in cod=packing gear on a flight deck somewhere, something about Mission Accomplished.

He’s playing at his legacy liked he played at being a war-president, yet the legacy plays down the war because he failed so miserably and Americans are finally starting to catch on to the illegality of the invasion and occupation of Iraq.

You beat me to it, dude. I was about to comment on the same thing. This is why Bush didn’t make a serious push for tighter regulations regarding home ownership, because he could boast about the high rate of ownership while hoping the market wouldn’t tank before he left office. Since it did, it’s now conveniently Clinton’s fault. Another question is this: how many of those minority families he was responsible for putting into homes now face foreclosure?

Step 1: Ignore all warnings of a possible terrorist attack
Step 2: Quietly freak-out for 7 minutes. Change pants in limo on way to air-base.
Step 3: Run away on publicly owned private-jet
Step 4: Show up at the scene of the crime three days-late, disturb the crime scned and stand on the graves of the dead, bloviating
Step 5: Plan invasion of country of non-guilty party and destruction of Constitution and the Rule of Law
Step 6: Clear brush on fake ‘ranch’

What did the Amazing Bush do during his 8 years to prevent this kind of terrorism?

2) Our environment was harmed under Bush and anyone who wanted to conserve it was attacked as a crazy treehugger.

3) Our military is at the breaking point due to overextension. Increases in pay and benefits were done by Democrats with the opposition of most Republicans.

But…he does mention Iraq without actually mentioning Iraq. Get it? It’s like a non-answer answer.

Jesus. What some people will believe. We will never have a world free from terror. That is, unless you wipe out everyone in the Middle East, as a start, and then forever lock up everyone else who has even the hint of predisposition for violence — think Minority Report. For those left, you will need to put a chip under their skin and monitor their moves 24/7/365. You will need to ban all guns on the planet, and then anything else that can be used as a weapon. Throw in a little mind control (we aren’t born with violent tendencies…we are taught them) while you are at it. Don’t piss anybody off at work, don’t cut people off in traffic (oh wait…there won’t be any vehicles, which can be used as weapons), don’t look at someone’s wife or girlfriend the wrong way, and always pay the school bully your 5 cent milk money.

I could go on all day.

Interesting point. we are a nation of immigrants. So the “homeland” is such only to native Americans (and even they were only here for 10,000 years or so).

Now, if the spin writer had written “President Bush took right-wing neo-fascist Banana Republic dictatorship steps….” then this would have been a more accurate description of the steps President Bush took to cement a “permanent Republican majority” in place in our freedom-loving liberal democracy, of the people, by the people and for the people…not just for right-wing neo-fascist Banana Republicans, corporate thugs and religious evangelical fanatics/terrorists.
