The Anchorage Daily News reports that Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) owes more than half a million dollars “to an Anchorage law firm that has defended her against ethics complaints, and she may create a legal fund to pay the bill.” In her written response to the ADN, Palin described the charges that have cost her so much money as “baseless” and “ridiculous”:

Still trying to portray herself as a populist, Palin said that because of the “blood sport some are playing today” in politics, it seems that only the independently wealthy or those willing to spend their income on legal fees to defend their official actions in office … can serve.”
I really don’t give a rat’s ass what Palin does. I wish she would just go away.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:01 amFailin’ Palin is blaming Obama for her ethical lapses and legal debts? The Pentacostal Pork-Barrel Princess of Wasilla needs to take a personal inventory methinks!
This is just what happens to slimeballs like her. They abuse power, carry out personal vendettas and get themselves in hot water.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:04 amstupid story……..we need to ignore her and the memory of her failed bid for vp.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:06 amShe probabyl spent those money for becoming a vice president now it is a time to pay back Palin.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:07 amOh, she didn’t want to use public funds to defend her and Todd against their private, malicious vendetta. But she would have if she thought she could get away with it!
Lucky for Princess Wasilla, there are plenty of dolts with plenty of cash willing to bail her out.

March 21st, 2009 at 11:08 amHi Rebecca Lobo
March 21st, 2009 at 11:12 amI told you this would happen.
Maybe her Russian neighbors will lend a hand.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:15 amR. Loco can’t defend her Queen, so she resorts to distractions. Just like a 2-year-old, but without the wisdom.

March 21st, 2009 at 11:16 amAm I wrong to think that it was a Presidential campaign that she was in, not a Vice Presidential campaign?
March 21st, 2009 at 11:16 amWhy do conservatives cry “socialist” as a pejorative….except when they need a handout?
Isn’t this tantamount to socializing her losses, poor choices and bad behavior; supposedly anathema to the ‘conservative’ credo?
Where’s Santelli on this?
March 21st, 2009 at 11:20 amSara, when you indulge in bad behavior and then accept something that puts you in the public spotlight (and under the microscope), you can’t be surprised. You did the shenanigans so quit blaming others because you got caught.
It’s the punchline from the old joke…’when you are in sh*t up to your nose, keep your mouth shut.”
March 21st, 2009 at 11:21 amRebecca LoboMaybe if bible spice wasn’t a crook she wouldn’t have so much trouble defending herself. You know if she could just say, open the books and let them look. Heh.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:23 amThat is too funny. She quotes the start of the Troopergate problems as when someone from “the Obama campaign” started making inquiries. Sorry Sarah, your Troopergate problem was there way before you were picked by McCain to be his barbie doll VP.
I have a question. Would it even be legal much less ethical for a Governor to pay her legal bills out of Alaska funds to defend herself against ethics charges?
March 21st, 2009 at 11:26 amFred Says:
Still trying to portray herself as a populist, Palin said that because of the “blood sport some are playing today” in politics, it seems that only the independently wealthy or those willing to spend their income on legal fees to defend their official actions in office … can serve.”
How about the reasonably honest, considerate, decent people who avoid abusing their position?
March 21st, 2009 at 11:26 amStupid question followed by a stupid distraction. Is this what qualifies in your pea brain?
No wonder everyone treats you like a moron. you prove it every time you post.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:27 amRebecca Lobo Says:
Agreed. Obamas “Special Olympics” gaffe is much bigger. Although, the progressives seems to hate those kids, too, so he’s been given a full pass.
You know that the trolls have hit the bottom of the barrel when the best they can come up with is a gaffe our President made. She is also missing the point that this President sincerely apologized for his gaffe not giving the typical Republican’t apology of “I’m sorry if what I said offended anyone”.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:31 amExactly hooda, you don’t hear about them having to defend and whining about it do you? If she was clean this never would have happened.
wolf girl is so shallow that an ant can stand with it’s head above water in the puddle that is her.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:31 amIt’s really funny to hear bible spice whine about the blood sport after the racism and hate baiting she did during the campaign.
It’s called chickens hon, and they have come home to roost.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:34 amOne way to avoid these petty lawsuits would be to not use your office to settle family disputes. Of course what good is it to get elected if you can;t settle those old scores. Ah the conservative mind a wonder to behold.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:35 amPalin said that because of the “blood sport some are playing today” in politics,
“Blood sport”… like, ya mean, claiming that someone “pals around with terrorists”?
That kind of “blood sport”?
March 21st, 2009 at 11:35 amThe Anchorage Daily News reports that Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) owes more than half a million dollars

March 21st, 2009 at 11:36 amWho is going to pay for the wedding? Oh yeah that’s right, there isn’t gonna be one. Family values…
March 21st, 2009 at 11:37 amRepublicans are the first to point the finger of blame and shame because they figure if they squawk loud enough the rest of the world won’t notice the other four fingers are pointing at the real culprit.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:38 ammy man ralph @ 25
March 21st, 2009 at 11:38 amDamn ralph nothing like going right for a major blood vessel. Are you sure you aren’t a carnivore? Maybe ralph the wonder cheetah perhaps…
I sort of enjoy the idea that Sara has run up a half million dollar bill. Reminds me of sharks in a feeding frenzy. Sharks have an excuse, small brains and they get excited easily by the taste of blood in the water so they can strike at whatever comes in reach of their mouth. Including other sharks.
Sound GOP policy.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:43 amHey, do you guys suppose Archie gets off on having us call him “Rebecca”?
Do you think he dresses in women’s clothes when he posts now?
… I don’t care, y’know, as long as he doesn’t hurt anybody else. To each his own.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:44 amdbadass, I see you’ve been doing tremendous work keeping our new troll name in check. With plenty of help from Fred, Zooey, the Schneiders, Hoodathunk and a buncha other folks…
March 21st, 2009 at 11:46 amWhere did Ms. Lobo go?
March 21st, 2009 at 11:47 amIf that is true I would love to have a credible link to it.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:50 amFor someone who was supposedly ready to handle the backup spot for the most powerful position in the political world, Sara has shown an amazing lack of knowledge of things like rules, laws and proprieties.
File her under ‘not quite ready for prime time’ players.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:52 amOne would presume that the Governor and her family are covered by a medical plan for state employees and officials.
But your point is well taken, Fred. We should not presume things like that. Credible support could come in handy.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:54 amAnd does Arnold Schwarzenegger “hate those kids,” too?
“I know, because of conversations I’ve had with the president about Special Olympics … I know where his heart is,” said the Republican governor. “He loves Special Olympics, he would do anything he can to help Special Olympics.”
“Every one of us sometimes makes a mistake, right?” Schwarzenegger added, “Something comes out of your mouth and you say, ‘Oh, I wish I wouldn’t have said that.’”
March 21st, 2009 at 11:54 amI think Ms Lobo is off on a aged caribou hunt in Los Angeles.
It may be a while.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:54 amGov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) owes more than half a million dollars “to an Anchorage law firm
– - Sarah, Playboy or Maxim would fork over more than that for a photo shoot.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:55 amJus’ sayin’.
It certainly helps.
But what’s really interesting is how “politically correct” the tighty-righties are getting all of a sudden. I thought you guys scorned “PC” talk?

curious b, did you flag all of us? How do you think TP reads that?
Your thoughts please.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:57 amHey guys, this explains a lot — it explains why right-wingers are incapable of sincere apologies.
It’s because they think they are worthless.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:57 amSo there you are Ms. Lobo
March 21st, 2009 at 11:58 amWill we be engaging in conversation today or just saying stuff to get negative attention? I would really like to chat with you. Would you like to pick the topic if Ms. Palin’s gooofiness doesn’t suit you? Reagan’s support of terrorism is one I have suggested but you seem scared of it. Yoor attitudes towards artichokes has been offered but even that seems to scare you. Are you here for discussion or do you have a different agenda? I think we all know the answer to that …
Gotta give some credit to Ahnuld but someone should tell him Republicans don’t make mistakes. They just express ‘deep concern’ when others do.
Fist bump to the Governor for plain speaking.
March 21st, 2009 at 11:59 amI think you are on to something Ralph. If they apologize, they all know it is insincere so they think everyone is as callous as they are….good catch.
March 21st, 2009 at 12:02 pmIf Palin is so concerned with special needs children, why is she turning down millions in stimulus money that would help them in the state of Alaska?
http://www.adn.com/palin/story/729504.html
March 21st, 2009 at 12:02 pmOh, I think you’re selling Republicans short on this, Hoodathunk. They do feel distress when others are offended by their well-meaning comments.
March 21st, 2009 at 12:02 pmOr was that the “mistake” you were referring to? When others mistake a Republican’s words for something offensive?
Rebecca, doesn’t lobo mean too crazy for the rest of the pack to accept?
Just asking.
March 21st, 2009 at 12:03 pmRight in one, Ralph.
Republicans don’t make mistakes which makes them an authority on when others do. The Easter Bunny told me so.
March 21st, 2009 at 12:04 pmExcuse me, “Rebecca” but, isn’t this the kind of off-topic remark for which you’ve been flagging others?
March 21st, 2009 at 12:05 pmRebecca
March 21st, 2009 at 12:05 pmWhy can’t we have a nice talk? What prevents you? I can talk about anything you wish to talk about. Wanna talk about Archie B or wannabee Latin Kings? How about Ms. Palin’s daughter’s inability to be virtuous? Just pick a topic. Failure to engage me makes you look really weak and inferior and I wouldn’t want you to look weak and inferior. Would you?
Apparently, over at the Olbermann-hate site, Rebecca Lobo/Archie B/Mr. Pathetic recently called for the banning of a poster he didn’t agree with, arguing that this fellow was “only here to disrupt a peaceful blog.”
Total hypocrisy, considering his behavior here.
But, of course, that’s how he sees the world. He thinks it’s cool to lie, smear and sock puppet… but on blue blogs… because they’re blue.
Anything a Democrat does should be condemned because it’s a Democrat, and anything a Republican does should be excused as long as that Republican doesn’t have a history of siding with Democrats. That’s the complete extent of his political philosophy.
Funny stuff, Olbermann-obsessed troll.
March 21st, 2009 at 12:06 pmHere is an idea.
Ms. Lobo would you like to debate this?
“Archie B is a bullshit no balls let you violate his mother and sisters while he pisses his pants in the corner loser.”

Hey Becky sweetheart, perhaps you can tell us of any conservative blog that will allow us to post there. I tried to post to redstate.com once and I was banned by IP address within 30 minutes for posting a very polite and pointed rebuttal to something another poster had said. It is the conservatives who don’t believe in free speech. Actually, that may not be true, it’s more like they are scared of free speech.
March 21st, 2009 at 12:17 pmSure, they always have some great stories about hypocrisy at Fox News, and it was often entertaining to see you rant and rave there like an angry clown. March 21st, 2009 at 12:27 pmHere’s what Sarah Palin said about knowing she was going to give birth (or Bristol was about to) to a Down Syndrome baby:
Anyone else get the feeling Sarah Palin has also told the ole “Special Olympics” joke one time in her life and is being a hypocrite by going after President Obama?
Also, she didn’t want to tell the kids that they were going to have a brother with Down Syndrome. Huh, now why would she do that if all children are ’sent by gawd’ and are precious as Sarah believes? Is it because she was going to give Trig up for adoption or was hoping for a miscarriage? Could be.
March 21st, 2009 at 12:28 pmOkay Sarah, deny everything as you might, there is a reason why you had to hire squadrons of lawyers. In your heart of hearts, you know this is the case, and that you’re the true cause of your situation.
My advice: if you don’t want to continue to pay lawyers, perhaps you should stop engaging in unethical and unlawful acts.
In the meantime, please shut the hell up. There’s enough whining going on among politicians without you adding more to the noise.

The sad thing is that a good part of the stimulus education funding she is trying to turn down is money to fund programs for special needs children. Didn’t she once say, while running for VP, that if she was elected parents of special needs children would have a friend in the white house? I guess that only applied to her being VP. As governor of Alaska, not so much.

No, it has to do with the fact that she was on the public dole when she allowed herself to be inseminated with 8 fetuses. Don’t forget, the Republicant’s love the fetus, but hate the child.

Yep! She’s in the process of cutting MORE money out of education and for those with special needs. She’s all about the children. *gagging myself with a snow shovel*
March 21st, 2009 at 12:50 pm
Hell, why do you think she got on that plane when she knew she was in active labor with a Down Syndrome child? That could have been a real tragedy for the Palin family. **wink**
March 21st, 2009 at 12:58 pmIf she was pregnant, she was either hoping for “medical miracle” resulting in a miscarriage so she could say, “Awwww, that was too bad. Gawd wanted it this way” or she wasn’t pregnant and rode home that day feeling as good as she did when she became the Governor. See? It’s Sarah’s call, but so far she’s not willing to release Trig’s birth certificate and the Mat-su hospital where Sarah said she gave birth to Trig is no longer posting birth announcements. Gee, I wonder why. Most likely Bristol did a home birth with Trig at Auntie & Unkie’s house if you ask me. ;-)
March 21st, 2009 at 1:01 pmFederal help for Special Needs Children is a big Deal.
The law requires that ALL Children, regardless of their “special Needs” get to attend school.
This is a civilized approach , but these “Special Needs” are Expensive, and really Cost Financially strapped School districts a significant part of their Tax Money.
The Costs of Special transportation, special teachers, special facilities , etc. come at the expense of a school districts Budget.
Federal aid to this problem helps spread the costs among the nation as a whole…but that’s socialistic , so Gov. Palin is against it…even though Alaska Schools probably Are Not.
Let Gov. Palin try to Defend her position .
March 21st, 2009 at 1:02 pmThat is funny, I find that all of the conservatives I know suddenly say they never supported bush but they want to blame both parties for the economic meltdown…..funny.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:02 pmWhere did Ms Lobo go?
March 21st, 2009 at 1:09 pmBadger says:

March 21st, 2009 at 1:10 pm111 Dr. Hussein Matt Says:
My concern troll act? Just because you live in a world where ALL Republicans are “low life scum” dos not mean that every progressive is that narrow minded. I have noticed Republicans like to invent their version of reality but apparently that is not reserved exclusively for Republicans.
I understand why you hate Republicans, but you need to learn to control that anger. I am not some wingnut concern troll, I am a very progressive independent, who happens to be well aware of the fascist takeover of the Republican Party. I am insulted you would group me with the propagandists, just because I realize that not all Republicans are “low life scum”.
If you want to insult me by calling me a f-ing twit, and telling me to suck your arse, you can believe I will hound you the way dbadass hounds archie and company. You don’t want me to open this can of whoop ass boy.
For my opening salvo, I will request, for the second time, that you provide evidence that anyone has sent death threats to the octomom, and further evidence that such death threats came from a Republican. If you are not willing to provide such evidence, then you first need to post a retraction then an apology. I always expect wingnuts to back up their crap so you damn well better expect to back your up.
*puts his fists up*
March 21st, 2009 at 1:11 pmFrig Palin. She’s ethically challenged and I hope her legal fees drown her.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:11 pmFrom the headlines this week regarding Simpleton Sarah rejecting the stimulus money for education, I’d say her days are numbered and she’s going to be slapped with another lawsuit by educators in Alaska in the coming days.
She’s going to need more than a legal aid fund to pay those bills.
Frankly, she needs to be recalled from office if she violates her oath of office as Governor by NOT representing the needs of the people with regard to the stimulus.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:15 pmAnd, since Paleface is insistent upon making a public and embarrassing spectacle of herself, it’s time for the internet to begin pressing Alaskan legislators to impeach her.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:16 pm31 Dr. Hussein Matt Says:
I am still waiting to see if Dr. Dussein Matt is going to back up his claim or insult me again.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:19 pmRebecca dear,
What is your major malfunction? Do I frighten you? You need not be afraid. All I seek is intelligent discussion. Can you do that? The problem is that I will make you look foolish everywhere you go unless you stop acting like a total jackass and have a nice chat with us all.
I suppose you were too young to remember annoying suburbia kids on their dad’s cb radios but you are falling into that same adolescent trap
March 21st, 2009 at 1:21 pmNever have I seen a politician who believes herself (or himself) to be a victim as much as Sarah Palin does. Every public statement she makes is a complaint about how unfairly she’s been treated by the media, by Democrats, by the McCain campaign, by the Republican Party leadership, etc. She believes she’s infallible, I guess, so she has to believe in this narrative of victimization in order to accommodate her worldview.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:21 pmThis, from the “queen” of evidence-providers, “Rebecca”?
LOL, indeed.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:21 pmOh and Rebecca
March 21st, 2009 at 1:22 pmArchie likes it when I take that cok from my ass and cram it down his throat. Do you like that too?
You sure are acting like a troll…
March 21st, 2009 at 1:23 pmIf there was ever a reason for a “bail out” this is it. We need to keep her in the news for laughs.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:23 pmdbadass, I know you’re aware of this, but “Rebecca” is not capable of intelligent discussion, by all indications, and so “she” may indeed need to be afraid of it.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:24 pmShe was riding up with Uncle Ted, Oil Companies and evening using God to get over. Now it’s time to pay Satan for what he gave her. With her daughter Bristol having two kids and no job or education. Levi skipped out of the deal after he lied for her during the campaign. Denying the citizens of Alaska their Stimulus help. Helping Levi’s drug pushing Mom with her criminal charges. Oh yes bimbo Sarah forgot her husband the drunken First Dude was found guilty. Now where’s John the Maverick McCain when she needs help. McCain dumped his own daughter and is doing what he does best as a memory lost victim, he can’t remember who Sarah Palin is. Uncle Ted is finished and looking for a friend. With Alaska at 9.1 per cent unemployment the citizens of Alaska need a Govenor.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:24 pmShe might ask those wing nuts who followed her for money as the RNC is still explaining to those who donated why Sarah went on a Family shopping spree with their money. Sarah said see can see Russia from her window she might yell to them for a donation for her legal fees. I saw Putin would give what he can to help.

March 21st, 2009 at 1:26 pmThat’s because he’s an adolescent. Seriously, Archie B’s thinking process, if you can call it that, is all about hating anything liberals might like and liking anything liberals might hate.
Like how an angsty, hormone-crazy teenage girl tries to make a show of liking the things her parents’ hates just to try and piss them off.
Now that I think of it, Rebecca really is a good name for the Olbermann-obsessed troll.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:27 pmAnd, this is an example of how she would handle the national financial crisis….show some ankle and beg.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:29 pmWho hates welfare? The republicans.
Who said, “She’s a liberal! Only a liberal would have 8 more babies and then expect welfare to pay for them!”? The republicans.
Any more questions? That’s all the proof I need.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:29 pmFor what is worth, I have read the posts of both the good doctor and the oracle and I have found them to be much more on the same page than not. Maybe I’m too much of a greenhorn but I do know that misunderstandings happen.
I know Dr Matt isn’t a troll and Levi doesn’t really feel like one either.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:30 pm143 Rebecca Lobo Says:
Rebecca, you really should not get involved in my discussion with Hussein, you have a discussion date with dbadass that you have been avoiding. You tend to your conversation, and I will tend to mine. I do not need any help from a Republican to slap Hussein if he wants to play verbal hardball.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:31 pmOlberman has been mentioned on this thread? Rebecca, you give yourself away.
Have to, no one would pay.

March 21st, 2009 at 1:34 pmDude, you practically live at a blog called Olbermann Watch. You post about him constantly. How you love that man!
March 21st, 2009 at 1:38 pm149 Fred Says:
If you judge me as a troll because I asked someone to prove what appealed to me to be an unlikely claim, then you are just as bad as the Republicans. If Dr. Hussein Matt was telling the truth, I want the link to it so I can use it on another site. Personally, it sounds just like the type of propaganda I hear from the Republicans.
I have learned to question everything and judge for myself is some claim is true or false. I am certainly not going to take Dr. Hussein Matt’s word for it. If he wants to back up his claim, good for him. If he wants to insult me, he better be ready for the gates of hell to open.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:38 pmRebecca, just a suggestion. For your next handle, you should try “Rebecca Sucks Olby.” It’s a juxtaposition of various sock puppet handles you like to use, and it’s truest to your heart’s desire.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:40 pmRebecca and dbadass sitting in a tree….
Trust ne Rebecca, it isn’t gonna go away. You might as well deal with it. At this point I usually suggest a name change. If you aren’t into that you can always try some sort of name jacking to try and discredit me. Either way in the end you will still ose.
Actually you have already lost and you look loke a total asswiped loser but whatever.
In all seriousness as I am a student of behavior, how does it feel to be made to look inferior over and over again in the modern marketplace of ideas? I really ask that question in the most sincere of ways and hope you will honor me with a response
March 21st, 2009 at 1:41 pmI love how you always double down on stupidity when you attempt to lie.

March 21st, 2009 at 1:49 pmRebecca, you really should take dbadass up on his offer. It would be cheaper than therapy. Not to mention lots of fun for us here.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:49 pmRebecca Lobo Says: What’s it like to feel so alone and empty?
Is this a rhetorical question or a plea for help?
March 21st, 2009 at 1:51 pmRebecca is scared shitless of me.
Do you think I can call her a skanky ass whore or do you think she will protest?
March 21st, 2009 at 1:52 pm“Rebecca”, darling, you’re fooling no one. We all know your varied history of troll names and predilections.
Congrats on concealing your man-love for Keith this long. Maybe you’re getting a handle on your OCD?
March 21st, 2009 at 1:52 pmdbadass, I think she has a secret letch for you and is afraid to admit it.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:52 pmMy guess is that “Rebecca” is about to break into a mournful song number.
March 21st, 2009 at 1:53 pmOMG, you think she might be transfering her man crush from Keith to dbadass?

March 21st, 2009 at 1:58 pmThey’re at Olbermann Watch, NewsHounds, here, and a few other sites. A simple google search with your various handles and “olbermann” in the search box shows a crazy, spiraling demented obsession.
Out of curiosity, who has done more to turn you into the powerless, sniveling liar we’ve come to know? Olbermann? Or the AAP poster you’ve decided to emulate?
March 21st, 2009 at 1:58 pmI don’t like being insulted, and I don’t like being called a troll. I spent the last eight years being insulted by wingnuts every day while debunking wingnut propaganda.
Dr. Matt still hasn’t posted a link to back up his claim, or a retraction, or an apology. I am patient as hell and I have a memory like a hard drive.
I don’t normally resort to crude insults, but if Matt wants to play that sort of game, I will teach him how to insult someone without ever being vulgar, and I will teach it to him until he begs for mercy.
March 21st, 2009 at 2:00 pmMournful song from Rebecca…”You don’t bring me flowers, just leveraged derivatives. You don’t sing me love songs, just give me bad mortgages that slip away.”
March 21st, 2009 at 2:00 pmSeems I have lost out to the llama.
March 21st, 2009 at 2:02 pmThe charming Rebecca is willing to engae the llama but responds not to my pheromones… I think I will call her all kinds of nasty things. Afterall she will protest not….
Rebecca, we proved you were the Olbermann-obsessed troll in this thread. For the record, even your handle, “Rebecca Lobo” is a Keith Olbermann reference.
You’re just not very good at this, are you? It’s okay. We can’t all be Bugs Bunny or Daffy Duck. Sadly, you’re forever destined to be Elmer Fudd.
March 21st, 2009 at 2:03 pmYeah, as if actual proof would convince you of anything you didn’t want to acknowledge anyhow…
March 21st, 2009 at 2:04 pmLevi, a bit of advice. Chill. If you want to be a troll, demand lots of stuff.
If you are what your previous posts are who you are, understanding goes a long way.
If you don’t resort to crude insults normally, stick with that. Things will even out.
March 21st, 2009 at 2:04 pmRebecca, did you know it was the liberal Kennedy’s who started the Special Olympics? No? Well, this explains your comment at the beginning of this thread and why you’ve been attacked throughout it.

March 21st, 2009 at 2:08 pmIt’s only because “she” thinks if “she” ignores you first, then “she” will have the upper hand in the relationship, dbadass.
“She” is, of course, sadly mistaken about this, but why should this be any different from any of the hundreds of other thing about which “she” is mistaken?

March 21st, 2009 at 2:09 pmI mean, how dumb do you have to be to make my case for me with your very attempts at protesting the truth? Seriously, Rebecca, have you ever had your intelligence tested?
March 21st, 2009 at 2:09 pmPoor Becky. Can’t decide just where her lusts lay. Dbadass is just to much like Keith. Ralph is concerned and gentle and she fears her gentle side. Trollspotter is the brash new upstart.
Who to avoid?
Try me? Becky, they all did and you run like a rabbit.
March 21st, 2009 at 2:10 pmLittle girl lost. Except she maybe isn’t? A she?
Calling Troll Central, time for backup! Whoop, whoop.
March 21st, 2009 at 2:14 pmOk, just took a dose of my blood pressure medicine. I should be gradually calming down now. I always remain civil in my fight against Republican fascism, even when attacked by my allies, so I think Dr Matt and I will eventually sort this out. I am not afraid to lock horns with another progressive, even a TP veteran, if he is going to behave like a Republican.
March 21st, 2009 at 2:14 pmDearest “Rebecca”, may I present posts from Hoodathunk (160), joe cantwell (198) and Trollspotter (199) as apocryphal evidence of my claim that “we all know” your varied history of troll names and predilections.
Of course, if you demand that my obviously hyperbolic statement be held to rigid literal standards — i. e., that I prove that literally “We all” know this, then I’m afraid I might have some trouble meeting this level of evidence. But you would be setting up yourself and any future comment you made to the same standard of proof, so I doubt if you’ll insist on such an extreme benchmark.
March 21st, 2009 at 2:14 pmRebecca Lobo Says:

March 21st, 2009 at 2:18 pmFocus, dear “Rebecca”, focus.
I was the one you accused of using the “some people say” gambit, remember? And I have since offered you some hard evidence.
Since I never said “some people say”, I guess you’re not going for the rigidly literal standard. That’s a wise choice.

March 21st, 2009 at 2:26 pmNice try, backup but levi isn’t really one of your minions. You wish you had someone like him in your paddock. Or is it pig pen?
But a real nice attempt.
March 21st, 2009 at 2:26 pmMaybe Palin should try using her ‘witchcraft prayer’ to ‘bring finances’ her way as she did in this video from May of 2005…
Palin is seen standing in front of Muthee at the service, head bowed, her hands held by two members of the congregation. “Come on, talk to God about this woman. We declare, save her from Satan,” the pastor said. “Make her way my God. Bring finances her way even for the campaign in the name of Jesus. … Use her to turn this nation the other way around.”

March 21st, 2009 at 2:28 pmQuite the contrary. We recognize and appreciate your role here for exactly what it is.
March 21st, 2009 at 2:29 pmI probably disagree with most of what Levi believes, but just like I respect your voice, I respect his. And Levi has a point, we could probably get by without the insults from any party.
March 21st, 2009 at 2:29 pmFound any time yet to encouraging the right to make heartfelt apologies for demonizing liberals’ patriotism during the Iraq War? You still hold that position, right? It seems to me you could spread a great deal of enlightenment that way, and this would have the added effect of making American politics a little less bitterly divided, which is something I presume you’d like to see?

ralph. you’ve obviously got a valid point, but you see how the lawsuits could also be used as Palin describes?
I think there are two sides to the issue. I assume the answer is to somehow balance the rights of both parties.
Keep in mind that an ethics board found that Palin was guilty of violating the law. If she was so concerned about how much money she would have to spend to clear her name, she shouldn’t have broken the law.
As for your second point, this is pure nonsense, backup. It would appear that you have fallen into the right-wing trap of believing that not only are there two sides to every story, but that both sides have equal validity. They do this because, quite often, the right wing will use lies to make their points. So they want people to believe that in any dispute, it’s just a matter of opinion on who is right and who is wrong, and that it has nothing whatsoever to do with facts. No matter what the right wing says, facts matter.
And you don’t compromise with Wrong. There are those who want to do the right thing and those who want to do the wrong thing, and there is no reason in the world why we should compromise with the people who want to do the wrong thing.
March 21st, 2009 at 3:02 pmIt seems Becky and backup have withdrawn to Troll Central for new instructions.
March 21st, 2009 at 3:02 pmAwww, Wayne, you take all the fun out of it when you make a post like that. Next thing you know rational thinking like that might have a real impact on trolls and then they might actually become caring, thinking human beings.

March 21st, 2009 at 3:15 pmWayne. I appreciate your efforts even though I know we disagree on most things. Although I disagree with you often, I respect you. And you have changed my mind on several things and moderated my thinking on others.
You raise the bar here.
I understand the idea that loser pays could impact those with valid cases to not pursue them because of the fear they might have to pay. That’s a problem.
If Palin is guilty, under loser pays, she would pay.
I also think that just as a valid claimant could be dissuaded to pursue a lawsuit, people wanting to financially harm someone could by initiating frivolous lawsuits, not for justice, but for payback.
March 21st, 2009 at 3:18 pmWayne, we all get to dream. I agree with yours. Imagine.

March 21st, 2009 at 3:26 pmjoe. (and others) you’ve got a good point about the anonymity.
It’s a fair point. Since we’re opening up, (with exceptions to Wayne and others) the ‘debate’ tactic here often devolves to this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19Jzk9vOvXg&feature=related
To be honest, I don’t think that is good for progressives, or anyone, for that matter.
Wayne (and often times, ralph and some others) have shown me the merits of what progressives stand for. I came here believing some of those ideals and adopting some others over time.
Without those voices, the progressive message would be absent and the conservative stereotypes of progressives left unanswered.

Palin Wants Huge Book Advance
According to the Los Angeles Times, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin wants as much as $11 million for the book she’s reportedly pitching to publishers.
“But there is more than money at stake. Palin has been trying to stay in the spotlight, presumably with an eye on 2012, and a book could help as well as giving her some sort of a base beyond Alaska.”

Reporting from Phoenix — Sarah Palin left the national stage Wednesday, but the controversy over her role on the ticket flared as aides to John McCain disclosed new details about her expensive wardrobe purchases and revealed that a Republican Party lawyer would be dispatched to Alaska to inventory and retrieve the clothes still in her possession.

I mean, aren’t there people employed in the government whose job it is to process requests of information? Sara Palin doesn’t know how to speak without lying and she isn’t even smart enough to lie convincingly. Too bad for her; she would have been a perfect candidate for the Bush cabal; too good for our country — she is hopelessly incompetent, ignorant, and a dopey liar.
