Suggesting that Amanda’s “ignoring of reality” is a “detriment to all women” is pure unadulterated kool-aid!

While most of us don’t mind that you guzzle the sh’t, please don’t spit in our faces afterwards – moron.

Until then, we best deal with the reality we’ve got, while working on creating that utopia some of you seem to believe we already live in.

Mr. O’Reilly’s comments on rape victims are not that difficult to understand. Of course the victim is not to blame. Of course the perpetrator should be prosecuted.
But better yet, what can the individual do to lessen the chance that she will ever be a rape victim? Once you’ve been raped, no amount of legal justice can undo the damage and make the victim whole.

What’s so hard to understand about the importance of not putting yourself in a compromising or dangerous situation? Are you legally or morally responsible when someone does you harm when you’re drunk? No! But we live in a real world, not some politically correct utopia. So stop demonizing anyone who points out these realities as blaming the victim! Ms. Terkel ignoring reality to the detriment of all women.

Intelligence is sexy.

And if that pencil-neck little-d’ck nerd Jesse Watters ever crosses paths with me, he’s going to get hurt.

While getting raped should never be blamed on the victim, since the perpetrator chose their behavior no matter what the victim was doing, wearing or drinking,
many liberals do not want to believe that much of the time we play a part in what happens to us in this world, good or bad. If someone is poor, they believe it is the fault of government, or those with wealth (for surely all the wealthy got what they have not through sacrifice and hard work, they must have taken it from me somehow). Their formulas for a just and vibrant economy and country never include the most important ingredient – personal acknowledgement and responsibility for our own behaviors.

On the other hand, don’t go listen to that particular radio show, continue to deny the truth and continue to look like an uniformed boob. It’s still a fairly free country and the choice is yours.

I applaud the producers of FOX for pulling Terkel covers. It’s about time some of these nutjobs were held accountable. Hope I see a lot more of it.

The point you seem to have missed is that Bill O’Reilly didn’t gate crash the thing. He was there as the guest they chose to headline it. So regardless of who Bill O’Reilly is, he’s still exactly who they wanted to be their guest speaker.

Why basis do you have for chiming in on their selection?

If they had chosen Chuck Norris then they would have picked an idiotic, pathetic entertainer, but he’d still be their choice. Would it have become your place then?

If they had chosen an actual rapist, that would still be their choice. But if they had, I believe you’d have not said a single solitary word, for good reason. Something that apparently goes out the window when something Fox news related is involved.

So of course you have criticised this rape support group when pointing out that you don’t agree with who they chose to be their speaker. If you weren’t doing that you would have had nothing to say at all, as most sane people chose to.

You realize that you are excusing the actions of a rapist by invoking the “she should have known better” argument. That’s like me saying that I have a right to a second grader’s milk money because the kid wasn’t careful about where he kept cash on his person. There are sometimes actions that people can take to avoid becoming crime victims. That doesn’t mean that when people do not take those actions, they are therefore responsible for the crimes perpetrated upon them. The “personal responsibility” lies with the predator, not the prey.

Now please do us a favor and point out where Amanda “mis-represented” O’Reilly’s comments. I do have to say as well, it is a source of amusement to me when you pretend that “namecalling and personal epithets” are bad things to do, and then you spew out a litany of outrageous and unsubstantiated calumnies on “liberals” in general.
