Fox Business anchor compares tax on AIG bonuses to sexual abuse.

Today, Fox Business Network anchor Dagen McDowell appeared on Fox News to make the case against the tax on AIG bonuses by comparing it to sexual abuse:

You don’t want to think if you get in bed with Uncle Sam he’s going to strip you naked, chain you to the bed, leave you there and then take nasty pictures of you and then put them on the Internet. Because that’s what’s been happening.

Watch it:

“Thank you, Dagen, well stated,” responded Bill Hemmer.

Dagen McDowell just wishes that Uncle Sam would strip him naked, chain him to the bed, leave him there and then take nasty pictures of him and then put them on the Internet.

Outside of some dirty talk with bill o’liely, this is as good as it gets for him.

In secret, he would LOVE to pay taxes if ol’ if these little fantasies of his would come true.

  3. pastcaring says:

Don’t really know if this is Dagan’s fantasy life or what, but am offended by his analogy. It demeans victims of sexual abuse.

uhm yeah..after watching that clip..im gonna have to concur…she ran through that whole “being tied up and having naked pictures taken of you and having them put on the internet” waaaayyy too quick for her to be crafting that “methaphor” out of thin air…her voice has more than a hint of recollection when she was spouting that..and from the looks of her crooked eyes id say whoever tied her up and took pictures of her was probably related to her in more than one way…maybe a “funkle” (when your mom and her brother have sex and create you, your dad is actually your funkle…I’m from Texas, we learn about these things in school)

To ignore the obvious absurdity of the FauxNews commentator for a moment, what she was describing sounds to me, if I remember correctly, what Nixon (that great Republican) wanted to do with political opponents to silence them. Southern Democrats, for example, would be kidnapped and drugged, have their pictures taken with black boys or farm animals in “compromising positions,” and then blackmailed. The plan was proposed, I think, by an official named Huston or Houston, Nixon loved it, but J E Hoover blocked it, wanting to keep all blackmail information in his hands and out of Nixon’s. My memory may be faulty about some details on this stuff from over 35 years ago, but the essence is right.

I couldn’t make this stuff up if I dropped a speedball in my Wheaties.

Amanda Terkel, a progressive & women’s advocate, somehow demeaned a rape victim. She does an account, points out a demeaning & contradictory quote, and she’s the aggressor.

We need to be very proactive when it comes to debunking Fox News. Fox News may be the greatest threat Americans are facing today.

Here we see a wingnut sharing his/her opinion of what he/she thinks the liberal view of the world is. He/she does bring up an interesting point, however.

The wingnut differentiates between the liberal “real truth” and the Republican version of truth. In a rational discussion of truth, we delve into the realm of philosophy. There can be only one absolute truth, for any given issue, but no man can say for sure what that truth is, because men (and woman) cannot see the big picture, we do not have omniscience.

We can, however, be certain of what is clearly untrue. We know that Fox News is lying on a regular basis. We know they are pimping the Republican alternate version of reality. My point is that the Wingnut is somewhat correct. We do need to get “fake truth” news out of the media, and replace it with “real truth” news.
