Frank ‘I’m A Member Of Dick Cheney’s Fan Club’ Gaffney: Obama’s ‘Respect’ For Muslims Is Code For Submission

The right wing has been apoplectic over President Obama’s words and actions while in Europe. A large amount of their outrage has been over the fact that Obama briefly bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia.

Today on MSNBC, right-wing commentator Frank Gaffney joined in, boldly declaring, “I’m a member of Dick Cheney’s fan club,” alluding to the former vice president’s comments that Obama is making Americans less safe. Gaffney said that today, for example, Obama told our “Muslim enemies” that the United States is “willing to submit to them.”

When asked by MSNBC host David Shuster and Mother Jones’s David Corn for proof of this supposed submission, Gaffney pointed to a secret “code” Obama is using — which apparently only he, al Qaeda, the Saudis, and the Taliban understand:

CORN: Where in that speech does he say we’re going to submit to anybody?

GAFFNEY: I think what he is using is code — … When he uses the word “respect,” in the context of a waist-bow to the king of Saudi Arabia, for example, and talks about respectful language, which is code for those who adhere to Sharia that we will submit to Sharia. We will submit to the kind of program –

SHUSTER: We have to know the code? We all have to know the code to understand how we’re making ourselves more vulnerable? … David Corn was asking you for a specific example, and you’re referring to code. You’re referring to code!

GAFFNEY: I’m telling you the code as they receive it in the Taliban headquarters and in al Qaeda’s cave and in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They perceive this as submission.

Watch it:

The “respectful language” that most likely galled Gaffney was from Obama’s speech to the Turkish parliament today:

Now, I have made it clear to the people and leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran that the United States seeks engagement based on mutual interest and mutual respect. We want Iran to play its rightful role in the community of nations. Iran is a great civilization. We want them to engage in the economic and political integration that brings prosperity and security. But Iran’s leaders must choose whether they will try to build a weapon or build a better future for their people.

Apparently, the American public also doesn’t know this secret “code.” A new Washington Post-ABC News poll finds that 82 percent believe that it is important for Obama “to try to improve U.S. relations with Muslim nations.” Additionally, two-thirds believe Obama will handle this diplomatic outreach “about right.”

Transcript:

SHUSTER: Frank, if you were follow Newt Gingrich’s logic advice, launch a pre-emptive attack on North Korea, take out this missile launch — which of course didn’t work — but take it out. North Korea would likely then respond against South Korea. The Chinese, of course, would likely then help North Korea, and all of a sudden we have tensions between the United States and China in the midst of all this. How does that make America safer?

GAFFNEY: You would have to ask Newt Gingrich or Ash Carter or Bill Perry that question, rather than me, because I’m not sure that it would.

Let me just say: I’m a member of Dick Cheney’s fan club. I think he’s absolutely right that when you yes, have wonderful road shows that encourage all kinds of acclaim from people by telling them what they want to hear — whether it’s European friends that you’re a transnationalist just like they are, or our Muslim enemies that you are willing to submit to them, which is the kind of ground-breaking that was done today.

This is not going to make us safer. It is going to make the world a more dangerous place when you alienate your friends and you embolden your enemies, and that’s what Barack Obama is doing.

CORN: You’ve got to stick to facts here.

GAFFNEY: I am.

CORN: Where in that speech does he say we’re going to submit to anybody?

GAFFNEY: I think what he is using is code —

CORN: No, no. I’m asking a very specific question.

GAFFNEY: I’m answering your question.

CORN: Ok. Where did he say he’ll submit?

GAFFNEY: When he uses the word “respect,” in the context of a waist-bow to the king of Saudi Arabia, for example, and talks about respectful language, which is code for those who adhere to Sharia that we will submit to Sharia. We will submit to the kind of program –

SHUSTER: We have to know the code? We all have to know the code to understand how we’re making ourselves more vulnerable?

GAFFNEY: You should. You should know the code. If you don’t (CROSSTALK) —

SHUSTER: But David Corn was asking you for a specific example, and you’re referring to code. You’re referring to code!

GAFFNEY: I’m telling you the code as they receive it in the Taliban headquarters and in al Qaeda’s cave and in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. They perceive this as submission.

SHUSTER: Frank, do you really think after this trip, after Obama is there having sending more troops to Afghanistan — rightly or wrongly — asking NATO to do more, that the message the Taliban is receiving that the United States will submit to the Taliban?

GAFFNEY: To answer your question, when Bob Gates said — as he did about a month and a half ago — we would be happy to have the SWAT valley deal that has Taliban applying Sharia in Pakistan apply to Afghanistan, it doesn’t matter how many troops we throw there. By the way, David, you’re not going to support this Afghanistan operation anyway. Let’s be clear. We’re throwing in the towel in Afghanistan. Not holding up the hopes of the Afghan people.

CORN: I think you’re trying really hard here to put words in the President’s mouth. If respect to you means submission, I won’t get into (CROSSTALK) —

GAFFNEY: That’s how they perceive it.

SHUSTER: The big problem here is it’s all because of you and your friends, David. It’s because of you and your liberal friends that we’re in this mess.

GAFFNEY: Not entirely.

  27. arleang says:

The fact that Gaffney is booked on so many programs is amazing. He doesn’t even need to open his mouth . . . he is immediately recognized as a part of the far right wing that wants us to invade and dominate the Middle East to make Israel safe (and to Hell with America).

  28. KayInMaine says:

Of course, the Bush family has had a 30 year business relationship with the Saudi Royals and the BIN LADENS, so kissing the King’s toe ring, holding hands with him, and rubbing his ass is fine with the wingnuts who worship George Bush & Sarah Palin. See? Bowing is off limits! Yep!

  29. pastcaring ceratopogonidae says:

    Ape-Man Says:

The Republicans will never admit to a mistake. Why? Because that would be a sign of weakness. Hhahah!

Another Characteristic of the right wing ideology is the need for social dominance.

    Take that however you want.

  30. MQuinn says:

Gaffney’s rhetoric is deplorable, and scary! In this post, I made that argument that Gaffney’s argument is overly simplistic and easy to articulate, which is why it has traction with the neo-cons. In any event, Gaffney and the other neo-cons should be ashamed.

  38. StratRat says:

Code? On national TeeVee a person said they speak in ‘code’. OMG, just how far off base are these loons? I truly think we have made a left turn at sanity and have become lost in a wingnut universe of shrillness. Code? Really?

  39. oldfuzz says:

    “Beam me up, Jack.”

  40. dbearton says:

Gaffney should join the Criminal Cheney and the both could go to prison.

  41. Bozo The Neocootiebug says:

personally, I think each and everyone of us should send gaffney a roll of reynold’s wrap since he has officially slipped into the “tinfoil hat” brigade.

  42. dasm says:

Respect = submission, according to the GOP. What is wrong with these people? They have absolutely no “christian” values, no family values. To jerks like Gaffney, and most Republican males, to respect someone means to be subservient to them. What an absurd notion, but it certainly does explain why the GOP members respect nobody but themselves! No wonder the GOP is a loser party. It also explains why Republican men are so terrified of women. To respect women means submission to women. What obsolete doorknobs the Repubs are.

  43. wiley says:

Does the audience realize that Saudi Arabia is an ally? As is France and Spain. Was our president supposed to greet Abdullah with a chip on his shoulder? P*ss in the punch? What? I often have to wonder if the Fox audience thinks at all.

  48. Carol A says:

What is it with the rightwingnuts and their crazy conspiracy theories? Add Gaffney to the list of Michelle Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Newt Gingrich, Sean Hannity, and others who claim that Obama is out to undermine our government and destroy America as we know it. They have selective, short memories, forgiving and forgetting the monumental sins of G.W. Bush, while fabricating smears and fears against Obama. Conservatives can’t handle losing power, so they gin up phoney emotional issues to appeal to the ignorant, conservative base. They’ve been working this angle since the campaign when Palin, McCain and their supporters unapologetically incited crowds to shout Terrorist!, Kill him!, and Traitor! Their dangerous rhetoric appeals to the unstable, as evidenced in last week’s news. For all of their self-righteous Christian family values, these people have no shame.

WE MUST! WE MUST! MAKE SURE THAT THE REPSTUPIDKANS DO NOT GET RE-ELECTED FOR SHYTE! Sorry for the caps but I listened to this clip and tried not to scream – what a bald face liar Gaffney is. I’m watching the show now and still trying not to throw my shoe at the TV!

  51. blistex11 says:

It’s official: Gaffney has become the Grand Wizard of the Tin Foil Hat Society. This man is certifiable paranoid and totally reichwingnuttia.

You can tell a Republiscum by the pinching in of the seat of his trousers due to the anal sphincter constricting. It shows on their faces.

  52. Chicano2nd says:

Gaffney, here’s code: f’you. That’s code for go find Cheney and put your nose where it belongs. You jerk!

  53. blistex11 says:

I have to say that Gaffney now has lost TOTAL CREDIBILITY and in front of middle america. He’s shown himself to be a demented, twisted, lockstepping neonazi.

Gaffney should NEVER be invited back to MSNBC or they will begin to lose viewers by the mere presence of these A-holes.

  54. blistex11 says:

Gaffney’s receiving ‘CODE’ now, folks! That’s shrink-alese for totally losing his mind.

  55. dbadass says:

You know you are under their skin when they feel the need to use your name…

  56. dbadass says:

use more “…”’s and stear clear of the bold. You also might want to include more typos. Oh and of course use I when you mean A. Does that help you out at all my pussy friend?

  57. blistex11 says:

Since Gaffney and his lockstepping kool-aid drinking kooks have nothing “tangible” to present at this point, they’re resorting to some kind of “code” they are receiving….HAH! Is that something like the “bible code”?

It’s the “wingnuttia code”. They’re probably getting coded messages from outer space, too.

    Tin foil hats are coming…..

  58. Wayne Ant Schneider says:

Can we start a campaign to get MSNBC to drop Frank Gaffney from future programs, especially if they are able to keep him from appearing elsewhere, too?

Frank Gaffney brings nothing of use to the discussion. Nothing! He constantly makes stuff up (like a connection between “Saddam’s Iraq” and the Oklahoma City bombing by American Timothy McVeigh), and always, always, always finds the most inane, fearful thing to scare us all. To call him a fear-monger is to cheapen the term, for he is much, much worse.

Let me state this as plainly as I can. Frank Gaffney’s opinions should never be heard in public. They are wrong (because they are founded on false ideas). They are dangerous (because every one of them ends with us fighting a war, possibly even a nuclear one, somewhere in the world). And they are insane.

It’s time to stop putting Frank Gaffney on the air.

  59. blistex11 says:

woo….wooo…..the code is speaking, folks! Time to don our tinfoil hats so we can effectively pick it up.

Remember those old rabbit ears on TV’s with the tin foil used to bring the reception in clearer?

Yep, it’s TIME to get our the tin foil hats. These bloviating windbags have NOTHING LEFT but to begin speaking about receiving some kind of “code”. Woooooo……I’m scared.

  60. blistex11 says:

Gaffney is CODE for “total, unequivocal bull$hit”. Now that’s code.

  61. dbadass says:

    you forgot the “,,,” again…

  62. blistex11 says:

I think it may be time for us to reregiser our monikers, friends.

We can really have a heyday with this code business. I think I’ll add “code” to my new screen name somehow.

  63. blistex11 says:

I did not write #65 so I suspect there’s some troll hijacking going on here, too.

  64. dbadass says:

oops I ment “…”. See I told you that you have to include more typos if you want anyone to buy your bullshit…

  65. Xisithrus, Hemiptera says:

Im not sure what the kenny80 point the video Kenny80 linked to is supposed to be. Its true blacks once called women ‘Ms Ann’ but Ann Dunham was in college in Hawaii in the 60s and I dont think her furniture salesman father, also in Hawaii, owned any plantations or slaves.

    What is your point Kenny80?

  66. blistex11 says:

Wayne: I’d love nothing more than to circulate a petition asking MSNBC to get the tin foil hat Gaffney off their programming.

Gaffney is nothing but a paranoid sicko man.

What AlQaeda H.Q. he is talking about?!

If Gaffney knows where AlQaeda offices are and what their codes are,as he claims, then why didn’t he tell his buddies like Cheney,Rummy and others over all these years ,when they were in charge, about this knowledge?

  72. bonat says:

#45. I was hoping for it to be on the 6 pm Fox evening news. LOL

  79. Keith says:

On the same show Gaffney was fear mongering that North Korea would hit us with four or five nuclear missiles. This is ludicrous. You don’t start a fight with someone who has two thousand times as many weapons as you do! North Korea does not wish to be turned into a burning cinder. South Korea alone would be as strong as North Korea.

  80. Winston S says:

Gaffney ALSO said it was a “FACT” that Saddam Hussein was linked to Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City bombing.

Thats exactly what the bush family would do for their “thicker-than-thieves” saudi royalty friends. I forget which one but there was one saudi royal who the bushes all called “uncle”, he was so intimate with them, apparently. The hypocrisy of the right is literally mind-blowing, and kinda fun to watch. Do they go home at night, look in the mirror and say “Wow, I really lied my best today!”.

It is easy when one is not in charge like these two guys to play hawkish.
N.Korea will have a war with Japan and S. Korea in no time,if it was attacked, and N. Korea said that.

    Memo to Gaffney:
These two countries, South Korea and Japan are two of our big lenders, who buy our Treasury Securities.
We are not in a position to start a big costly war.

    Talk is cheap….

FROM THE WIKIPEDIA ARTICLE ON “TEAM B” IN THE 1970s

WIKIPEDIA EXCERPT: “Pipes –in his commentary article–argued that [the] CIA suffered from “mirror-imaging” (i.e., from assuming that the other side had to–and did–think and evaluate exactly the same way.”

EXTENDED EXCERPT: “Team B” – From Wikipedia
Team B was a competitive analysis exercise commissioned by the Central Intelligence Agency in the 1970s to analyze threats the Soviet Union posed to the security of the United States. Team B, approved by then Director of Central Intelligence George H. W. Bush, was composed of “outside experts” who attempted to counter the positions of intelligence officials within the CIA known as Team A.[1] Team B concluded the National Intelligence Estimate on the Soviet Union, generated yearly by the CIA, underestimated Soviet military power and misinterpreted Soviet strategic intentions…..
…..The Team B reports became the intellectual foundation for the idea of “the window of vulnerability” and of the massive arms buildup that began toward the end of the Carter administration and accelerated under President Ronald Reagan.[4]
Anne Cahn of the Arms Control and Disarmament Agency and other critics later criticized the Team B project’s findings as wrong……
……According to Fred Kaplan, “In retrospect, the Team B report (which has since been declassified) turns out to have been wrong on nearly every point.[27] Team B came to the conclusion in their report[28] that the Soviets had or could develop an entirely new anti-submarine detection system that used a system that did not depend on sound and was, thus, undetectable by contemporary Western technology, even though no evidence existed for it or its deployment, other than money spent on research, and when the western experts believed that such a system would be impossible. When the CIA argued that the economic chaos in the Soviet Union was hindering their ability to produce an air defense system, Team B countered by arguing that the Soviet Union was trying to deceive the American public and claimed that the Russian air defense system worked perfectly. Some members were even considering promoting a first strike policy against the U.S.S.R.[11][29][8]
Team B also concluded that the Soviet Union did not adhere to the doctrine of mutual assured destruction, but rather believed it could win a nuclear war outright. Pipes –in his commentary article–argued that CIA suffered from “mirror-imaging” (i.e., from assuming that the other side had to–and did–think and evaluate exactly the same way); Pipes further wrote that Team B showed Soviet thinking to be based on winning a nuclear war (i.e., not avoiding such war due to MAD, because, he wrote, the Soviets were building MIRV’d nuclear missiles of high yield and high accuracy—appropriate for attacking hardened missile silos, but not needed for such large and vulnerable ‘hostage’ sites as cities…….

“Any birds on that reservoir of yours?”

I haven’t checked south of Brewster yet, but there a couple of ponds and swampy areas (part of The Great Swamp) up 22 with swans. I’m sorry that I can’t be more specific than “swans”. Plenty of Canadian geese, mallards, and recently some herons (but I’ve only seen them in flight.) There’s a redtail hawk whose territory includes the local A&P grocery store – Wayne saw one going for a pigeon on the sidewalk.

  111. Wayne Ant Schneider says:

    dbadass impersonator,

Our dbadass doesn’t want to kill anyone. He wants to debate them. Seriously, without games. many of us here do, my self included.

You see, I believe that the philosophy of Conservatism is flawed. I want to have serious debates with serious conservatives about why they believe the things they do. I do this because if they are honest enough and intelligent enough to state their positions rationally (and without insults), I believe I can find the flaw in their reasoning. I truly do. And so does our dbadass, and many others here, too. We want to have serious debates.

But visitors such as yourself come here not to debate but to disrupt. We see people come here and repeat, usually verbatim, the Republican Party Talking Points of the Day. (Such a thing really exists, you know. Fox News Channel has their own.) Those talking points are often ridiculously easy to debunk, but we end up wasting our time trying to convince some people that if they really have the position they have because of those talking points, they need to give their position more thought. Sometimes we manage to change someone’s mind about something. We enjoy those moments.

But some people simply refused to be convinced, or so we are led to believe. It turns out that some people come here for no other reason than to play stupid, childish games with us. They are not interested in debating the merits of one position over the other, but to hurl insults at all liberals, progressives, gays, atheists and other non-Christians, or whatever. They contribute nothing useful to the debate and should be ridiculed for the buffoons they are.

And some people are just morons. I think that’s you.

RE: “Obama’s ‘Respect’ For Muslims Is Code For Submission”

“Rush From Reality” – By Rick Perlstein, February 26th, 2009

EXCERPT:…Came the first caller, who made the mistake of pointing to Obama’s actual language in the speech, and got interrupted by El Rushbo—
“Pay no attention to what he says. He means the opposite in most cases. What he says is irrelevant.”
Unless, Rush didn’t have to add, Obama says something Rush considers embarrassing. Then, of course, he means exactly what he said.
I knew I’d heard this before. This was the doctrine of the “principle of reversal” enunciated by John Birch Society founder Robert Welch. Welch explained that in order to understand what the Communists are saying, you have to translate it into its opposite. Though it was a principle, of course, that Welch frequently honored in the breach. When a Communist said something he thought was embarrassing, Welch hammered home that the Communist meant exactly what he said.
The sole authority, of course, qualified to decide when a Communist meant the opposite of what he said, and when he meant exactly what he said was Robert Welch.

Let’s see, Addington coming on Billo’s show advocating an invasion of Perth Australia because it’s the lightening capital of the planet; OR, can it be Woo advocating that we torture Queen Noor publicly because she advocates the elimination of all nuclear weapons; or, is it Mama W writing an OP ED in the NY Times waiting for us to make her a member of the Martha Stewart’s kitchen staff so she could learn how to wash dishes..

Of course, it takes a book, which is available online, to define that word. It’s worth the time to read it. Heck! Even the trolls might learn something, as unlikely as that may seem. Here’s the link:

  201. dbadass says:

    hey pete
I just noticed that I said white crowned instead of yellow crowned. White crowned is a sparrow. Yellow crowned a heron. Sorry for the error.

  202. Game of Life says:

dbadass, what was with all your nasty talk about AT?

  203. Zooey Lepidoptera says:

    Game of Life,

    db’s name has been hijacked.

  205. dbadass says:

    Crymeariver:

  206. barfly says:

    Mimicry is…

    A defense mechanism?

  207. Game of Life says:

I knew this but since you didn’t come on…oh well, you must have hit some teabag troll right between the eyes.

    Good work mate!

    ***thanks for answering folks*******

And for the record, I dont watch Bill0 either. Truth be told, it was a website of a website that led me to watch the Bill0 segment regarding Amanda and ultimately here. I am reading my son bedtime stories during that hour anyway…thats the best hour of my day.

Hmm, trolls show up while site monitor on break. Sounds like a case for Charlie Chan!

  211. barfly says:

or does anyone want to share phone numbers?

    Sure. My number’s 619-555-2674.

  212. dbadass says:

    Shit
I walk away for two seconds and my lame ass returns. Hey didpshit I already told you I was a minimalist. Squash the webcam and shit. Not my deal. You really suck at this. You really do. Do I have to f uck with you all night?

  213. joe cantwell says:

    dbadass Says:
Has anyone here read Truth and Consequences: Special Comments on the Bush Administration’s War on American Values by Keith Olbermann.

It is one great book. I have three of them. If you want one, I can mail it out to you.

    Crymeariver Says:
    dbadass Says:

does anyone here have yahoo, a webcam, and a microphone?

or does anyone want to share phone numbers?

    ——————————–

I have yahoo and a cam, but no microphone. What do you want to do?

    )(

  214. dbadass says:

I have never once seen Olbermann’s program as I do not have tv. You are so f ucking dense…

  215. dbadass says:

    Mine is 817 5309….

  216. barfly says:

“You are so f ucking dense…”

    How dense is he?

[If I pitch it any slower, it'll be in the dirt:)]

  217. vernon farquar says:

    Golly, Gaffney cracked the code?

  218. dbadass says:

    good point Zooey
    I ment 867 5309

  219. dbadass says:

Oh I have a phone nitwit. But no land line. Are you obsessing much? F ucking weirdo…

  220. dbadass says:

He is so dense that his mass can not be divided by his volume…

  221. dbadass says:

no one would give their own punch. You give yourself away. Damn you are dense aren’t you…

  222. dbadass says:

actually cc’s are a more useful measure of volume in my field which of course are equivalent to mls but I think I already told you that bold is so not me…

  223. pete says:

I love it when trolls try to match wits with humans. They are just sooooooo bad at it!

  224. Zooey Lepidoptera says:

The dbadass impostor doesn’t even know it’s own sex.

    That is f ucking hilarious.

  225. dbadass says:

so velocity is a rate based on change of position over delta t but why the hell are we having this idiotic conversation?

  226. green says:

Wow! Some people are just born stupid and they have no desire to attain an inkling of an education. Drones, sitting around, waiting what to be told what to think and how to act. Shame upon all of you, and you know who you are. This is MY country at stake, you friggin losers! Get the f off my planet!

  227. dbadass says:

Dimwit? I would never say dimwit. Lame ass moron maybe but dimwit not likely…

  228. Jane E. Schneider says:

“Get the f off my planet!”

    green, I’m with you.

  229. dbadass says:

I don’t make trite comments like “me too” or “I agree” or “good one”

  230. dbadass says:

Want me to run circles about you relative to the acceleration formula?

  231. green says:

Well, I sort of shocked myself – but I’m starting to get mad and when I get mad – look out! People – real people, you stupid f@#$ trolls are losing their jobs and their homes and their dreams – and these creeps disparage everyone. I would like to see us – the sane amongst ourselves – get together in a meaningful way to counteract the negative energy surrounding us by a FEW f#$% dimwits!

  232. pete says:

Don’t forget, green, innocent people are losing their lives. While the Reichwhiners might be able to get past innocent Iraqis, 49 dead Americans, in about a month, should make an impression. Assuming they’re human.

  233. Jane E. Schneider says:

    “Assuming they’re human.”

So far, all evidence is to the contrary.

  234. pete says:

I’m glad my tortured syntax didn’t throw you, Jane. Just to make sure; I meant “assuming the Reichwhiners are human“.

  235. Jane E. Schneider says:

pete, now that you mention it, your syntax was a bit tortured, but I knew what you meant. :D

    Goodnight.

  236. pete says:

I believe in the 1st Amendment as anyone in this country and I exercise those rights frequently. But? Glenn Beck and FAUX MUST BE SILENCED!!!

  237. Max Anax junius -1 says:

    .

    Dear Frank Gaffney,
So Americans shouldn’t respect diversity in culture, race, religion?

    .

  238. C-Squared says:

Keep your friends close and all others closer!!!

  239. jrfunkenstein says:

Gaffney and the rest of the neo-con cabal that has led the US to the brink of utter destruction have no issue with Dumbya prostrating himself at the feet of the Saudi’s, but Obama offering a minimum of respect, no hand holding and no kissing, is obviously a violation of US sovereignty.

Specious and pathetic, but get ready; before these vacuous racists are through, Obama will have sunk the Titanic and raped every White woman on Earth.

The US has been the pawn of the Saudis since the 1920’s, but as long a Republican is in the White House, it’s business as usual; whenever a Democratic takes office, suddenly the relationship is one that conveys submission.

The childish pettiness on display by the Right has never been more obvious or vulgar.

  240. DallasNE says:

“Bring it on” worked so well, now didn’t it Gaffney, as did the other secret code George W. Bush used. Obviously you agree since you are a member of the Cheney fan club. Is “using code” the new mantra to ramp up fear and undermine attempts at calming down a jittery world? My question to you Frank Gaffney is “why do you hate America so much”.

  241. 4httr says:

For Years, Frank Gaffney has been given undeserved opportunity to spin fiction as fact on Fox and other media sources. Why anyone considers him anything more than a propagandist of the worst sort is beyond me.While his vivid imagination would serve him well as a writer of apocalyptic conspiracy books , his commentaries on national and international events suggest that he’s gathering his information through a tin foil hat rather than through logical analysis of legitimate data.

  242. LizCoro says:

SNL writers couldn’t make this stuff up . .

    ROFLMAO . .

  243. seeclearly says:

You may not agree with everything Gaffney says, but no matter who you are, you have to realize that “showing respect” for an enemy who thinks he earns special favor with God (Allah, actually)by killing as many “infidels” as possible really isn’t going to change very much. Radical Islam isn’t looking for respect. They will never stop their jihad until the entire globe is under Islamic law. That is their one and only concern. Although N. Korea is playing us for fools with their endless string of broken promises while they develop nuclear weapons and their delivery systems, at least we do have the ability to negotiate with them. Not so with radical Islam. Their only negotiating stance is “convert or die”. And any lame-minded, limp-wristed, bed-wetting liberal panty-waist who thinks we can all just hold hands, sing “Imagine”, and “just get along” will die in agony with the rest of us when terrorists finally manage to set off a nuclear device in a major U.S. city because we were more concerned with “being nice” than with “being vigilant”. Idiots.

  244. 4httr says:

Turkey is an example of a Muslim country that is secular and significant in it’s strategic position for the West . Only an uninformed fool would lump together all countries that practice Islam as monolithic purveyors of violent ideology intent on destroying everyone else. President Obama understands those distinctions that the previous administration chose to ignore.

  245. bumpfister says:

    OBAMA IS A TOOL.

  246. Jane E. Schneider says:

    seeclearly Says:
“You may not agree with everything Gaffney says”

You should have stopped right there. First, most of us don’t agree with ANYTHING Gaffney says.

Second, the rest of your ‘comment’ is just ranting. Flagged.

  247. guzide says:
