The Kool-aid Preachers preaching to an ever shrinking choir.

I don’t see as ironic that these commments come the heels of the lastest approval rating for Obama at 66. And those that are informed of such ratings, understand that’s a high approval rating.

It seems the more hate that these Kool-aid Preachers preach, the higher Obama’s rating goes.

No person ever maintains everyone’s approval. On the other hand, we cannot oversimplify the problems facing the president. To say he is a “jacka” for addressing a critical issue in American-European diplomacy is just that, an oversimplification. I am a patriot. I have been in Europe and the trip I took made me love my country more because I had an opportunity to compare it with the rest of the world. Let’s make no mistake, an Englishman loves his country as much as we do; a German loves hers as much as we do–they are all patriots, as we are. Obama is humble, yes, because too often Americans and Europeans scream at each other and that hinders progress. To deny that we have been arrogant as a country and as a culture is not a mistake. Obama is not doing that. But he is not therefor saying that Europe is not arrogant as well–a look in a history book will tell you they have had a tendency towards snobbery. Obama is offering hand, folks, a hand to these people in an attempt to end this bickering between the two halves of western culture. As to some of the other complaints against Obama, he is not perfect, and there is much more that I wish he would do. But I am not going to make a snap judgment now, only three months into his presidency. To those disappointed with him, I say, grow up and get some patience. It takes time to get things done. If in four years he’s screwed up, then we judge him, then we vote him out of office. Until then, take a deep breath and wait to see how the game plays out.

As neither a radical right, or radical left American, I found the President’s remarks typical of a president who wanted to appear humble, although very studied humility, before worshiping, curious, European audience. When in fact his entire career has been self-promotion (I’m from Chicago)and a lot of arrogance thrown into the mix. You don’t “write” two autobiographies with a very thin resume without just a little arrogance. I believe the right has got this man’s character spot on this go-a-round. The left refuses to study it, because they are still punch-drunk in love with, uh, words…”…words, just words.” Those words not his words.

Hannity et al are no doubt unwatchable bores but I agree that I found O’s America-bashing a little bit dispiriting coming from our President speaking in a foreign country. Then again, I found it upsetting that he actually went on Leno as if he’s promoting a new film. What happened to fiscal responsibility, restoring Habeus, ending illegal wiretapping and investigating any other illegal activity of Bush, etc? He needs to get back home now and get to work.

The GOP has nothing substantial to offer the American public regarding economic or foreign policy, so instead they resort to the same juvenile name-calling that failed them during the 2008 election campaign. All they can do is point their finger at Obama, sneer, and smugly proclaim “Don’t trust him. He is not one of us. He is un-American. He is a socialist….or a communist…..or a fascist…..or a Muslim…or the son of Satan.”

And their right-wing base jumps up and down and gets their blood boiling.

And the other 85% of the American public shake their heads, give a heavy sigh, and go about their business trying to help Obama make the world a healthier, safer, more economically vibrant place to live.

What exactly is the Obama agenda? Shouldn’t Obama’s agenda be the promotion of the American Dream. Isn’t that why so many people are trying to get to America, even illegally? Or should his dream be the dream of a free ride and lack of personal responsibility for all?

Obama is a disappointment. Yes, he did win the election with his buddies from Acorn(voter frauid indictments in 12 states). Where’s the outrage? Where’s the outrage of passing on trillions of dollars of debt to generations to come? These are just two examples of non-partisan issues that every American should be outraged about.

He will go down in history as one of the worst President’s (next to Jimmy Carter). What happens when the money runs out? Reasonable people will be prepared.

Maybe it’s because when there was an invasion of Kuwait, it didn’t lift a finger until America led.

Since it was George Bush Sr.’s fault in the first place, it would be only right for him to fix his own mistake.

Or didn’t you know it was Bush’s envoy to Iraq, April Glaspie, who told Saddam that America wouldn’t interfere if Iraq invaded Kuwait?
