However, we just had an election during which every adult citizen had the opportunity to vote. So what these folks are really complaining about is that their candidate(s) LOST!

Obama has not raised taxes, he has cut them for the vast majority of Americans.

The Bush Administration created the national deficit problem, and now we MUST invest federal dollars to re-right the ship.

And it was the LACK of government regulation that caused the banking system to crash.

Complaining about “socialism”? Does that mean you plan to refuse Medicare when you become eligible? Will you encourage your elderly loved ones to do likewise? Cause there isn’t anything more “socialistic” at the federal level than taxpayer-subsidized health care for senior citizens.

Or are you one of those extreme right-wing fringe whack-jobs that still think Obama is a Muslim…or a foreigner….or an alien?

And to the handful of folks that mistakenly believed that they would be participating in a genuine grass roots political event, well, there is no Easter bunny either. It is true that you have every right to protest, air your concerns, and express your anger about the economy. But at the same time, the reality is that you are being reduced to a propaganda tool for the bozos on FOX News, FreedomWorks, and elsewhere that wish to exploit your concerns for their own self-serving, disingenuous purposes. Best to take a hot shower when you get home.

Of course, all of this tea partying could improve the economy if everyone buys stock in Lipton on Tuesday and then sells it on Thursday…

If the President were to be a Republican in the future, and the liberal/progressive/Democratic voices were to gather in protest, the conservative media will point a finger and state they can reject the liberal movement, since the liberals rejected their “tea party” movement.

Well they can “say” anything.

In fact they usually do.

As for providing them a valid reference? Not hardly.

Once the country was in trouble liberals and democrats, progressives, independents, ALL rallied around the President.

A fact proven by his 89 percent Approval Rating Post 911, which continued in the 3 quarters percentile range for almost 2 years.

President Obama on the other hand hasn’t received one single solitary DAY of support from the right wing. Not one. They’ve fought him at every turn and refused to support him.

He’ been in office for 90 days and this makes like the 2nd or 3rd organized protest from the right wing against him. There’s been ZERO support right out of the gate.

Unless the right wing gets behind this President for at least a little while, during this time of war and crisis, then they will have lost all actual claims to Patriotism and love for their country.

No one is going to take them seriously after this nonsense.

The Massachusetts liberalism in me, however, has been lifelong.
