As Fox Host Denies Tea Parties Are ‘A Right-Wing Conspiracy,’ Fox Chyron Touts AmericanSolutions.Com

As part of the network’s day-long promotion of the anti-Obama tea parties, Fox News’ Gretchen Carlson interviewed three tea party organizers on Fox and Friends this morning. In an attempt to push back against criticism that corporate lobbyists were helping to orchestrate the so-called grassroots movement, Carlson asked Kellen Guida, the organizer of the New York City tea party, to answer the claim that the protests are “a right-wing conspiracy. “All you can do is laugh to that,” replied Guida. Watch it:

But Carlson and Guida’s defense was undermined by the on-screen chyron that flashed while Carlson asked her question, which directed viewers interested in the Bergen County, NJ tea party to the website of Newt Gingrich’s corporate-funded think tank, American Solutions for Winning the Future:

solutions_circled.jpg

Gingrich’s organization is distributing a “Toolkit” full of tea party talking points and has been an official “partner” in the tea party effort since at least March. Gingrich himself will be speaking at the New York City tea party, of which Guida is a co-organizer.

Transcript:

CARLSON: Although Kellen, there’s also been sort of the — at least on the blogs — that possibly this is a right-wing conspiracy. How do you answer that?

GUIDA: Yeah, I’ve heard that and all you can do is laugh to that. You know, they propose that big orgs, billionaires are funding this. I can tell you from my wallet itself they’re not.

CARLSON: But you raised a whole heck of a lot of money.

GUIDA: We did actually.

CARLSON: In a very short period of time.

GUIDA: yeah, we had a donor, we had a bunch of donors and one of them kind of backed out at the last minute. We raised $4,000 to cover it between 10 pm and 11 pm yesterday, which was tremendous effort on everyone in New York City.

Well, it’s an organized effort in any case. But if the organizers are also trying to hide their involvement, then that makes it a conspiracy by definition.

  2. MrWombat says:

What do you call nuts on your face? A tea party!

  3. mk3872 says:

Goodness sake. Fox News just sold all the remaining bit of credibility they had left.

Now that they are pawning Tea Parties, Freedom Watch (Dick Armey) and American Solutions (Gingrich) they are officially the right-wings media channel.

Not to mention that they would NEVER have promoted or sent out their news celebrities to cover WAR protests.

  4. AIO grasshopper says:

After all this time and evidence, do we really expect any truth from FOX?

  5. dukesman2000 says:

We liberals know never to believe a single words that comes out of a conservative’s mouth. If they tell you to walk you better run

  6. deebaser says:

Yup… Im staying at work till 7PM so I can take pictures of the 20 dipsticks that show up at City Hall Park

  7. tom says:

What if they threw a party and nobody showed up?

From early reports of turn-out, these teabagger events are a total bust. I suspect that America will “get the message” from today’s foolishness . . . but it won’t be the one that organizers intended.

This is just another example of the bankruptcy of the conservative movement — all hat, no cattle.

  8. Witch1 says:

If it is possible to get an accurate count on all these crazies we will know just how many nut bags holding tea bags are running free instead of being housed in asylum’s where they should be..P.B. & J

  11. AIO grasshopper says:

    This is hilarious:

Limbaugh just tried to explain to his audience what tea-bagging really means.
He said that he couldn’t/wouldn’t read definition # 2.

    LOL

Poor Newt. Poor sad old grey-haired Newt. So desperate to stay revelant. Dreaming of holding another office someday. Hoping that by staying on the attack, the left won’t question his infidelities and past transgressions with congressional aides.

Its sad, really, seeing a tired old two-faced has-been who just can’t step aside and get out of the way of on-coming trains.

Well, they pretty much always were. It was there marketing strategy from the beginning I believe. Which is fine with me; after all, MSNBC is the countering left-wing channel.

The problem is Fox isn’t just showing biased coverage now, it’s actually making up stories, distorting meanings, promoting events… basically setting and directing the conservative agenda.

When I read TP or watch MSNBC, I realize I’m hearing liberal viewpoints of issues. But I don’t particularly doubt the factual accuracy of what’s being reported.

But with Fox, it seems anything goes now. It’s not “news,” it’s “how can we twist or invent this story to create the desired reaction from our viewers?” audience manipulation.

  16. John Barringer says:

They’re pretty brazen, aren’t they? On the one hand they put it out that these Teabagging Parties aren’t a right wing phenomenon while maintaining that the DHS domestic terrorism report is aimed at Teabaggers because they’re, you know, right wingers.

  17. The Ctenocephalides Dogfather says:

Come on, TP — describing the teabagging parties as a “Right Wing Conspiracy” isn’t quite accurate…

Given the low interest amongst the general population, and even lower interest amongst the right-wingers demonstrated by the low turnout, either “Right Wing Hallucination” or “Right Wing Pipe Dream” is more like it…

  18. Hope says:

Bottom line, these tea party protesters are doing the bidding of the corporations, lobbyist, and the people who make $250,000 and over (I know, not all $250,000 and over). How sad.

These protest organizers are making these people look foolish. If they had any business sense, they should have waiting until the end of the year, but maybe they realize that the economy may become stronger, who knows, but maybe Newt is right, a new political party will emerge, and in my opinion, not for the good of the country.

  19. The Ctenocephalides Dogfather says:

Reist says: “Oh, please, somebody insert a teabag in my mouth so I stop spewing right-wing talking points that I clearly don’t understand and can’t use in the proper context.”

  26. aquarius2 says:

This is so damn funny, you have to read it. WaPo reports tea baggers had their fair share of problems. First, couldn’t dump tea bags in the Potomac, second had no permits for setting up stands and speakers. I am still laughing so hard I can’t remember the rest. Read it, it will make you laugh.

    Liberal Sixpack,

It really is none of your business where anybody gets their education, how much they make or how much you want them to make just so they can meet your expectations while you sit and do nothing all day in the control room. Liberals want centralized power and can’t get enough of it.

How can you not help mocking people that are so frenzied they can’t get permits. I mean the tea bag party was planned(and I use that word lightly) for how long. Wouldn’t you think someone would take the time to actually organize it.

  34. RantingTommy says:

I always wondered how advertising paid for itself, because I couldn’t imagine people being stupid enough to let the TV and Radio tell them what to buy.

Then the tea-baggers proved that there are a LOT of people stupid enough to let the TV and Radio do their thinking for them.

  35. Teowens says:

We now have official proof that Fox is ANYTHING BUT “fair and balanced”! Now CNN and MSNBC know too. This whole thing is really starting to get ridiculous. These people look really crazy.

Nobody’s preventing these people from achieving and succeeding but their own (obvious) limitations. It’s not our fault if you’re a failure at life.

    .

    Reist Says:

They are a private enterprise delivering a better product…

That’s just the thing – the truth isn’t a product. It can’t be packaged or marketed, it just is what it is. What FAUX News delivers is ideology backed by lies. That’s not better.

If FAUX News were actually a news organization, its version of the truth wouldn’t be “better” than any other. Actual news organizations can only compete in how they gather and deliver the facts. FAUX delivers its own version of what the facts are or are not. That’s not news. Which means they’re lying not only about what they lie about, but about what they are entirely.

These protestors are the result of that lie. These people can no longer distinguish actual facts from the political fantasy world that’s been fed to them.

Woah – I just noticed Luis Chapulin M beat me to exactly that point. Cheers!

  38. Luis Chapulin M says:

    Reist Says:

WHAAAA…??? This coming from the same guys that voted for George W. “Unitary Executive” “My way or the highway” Bush and Dick Cheney?

  39. Reist says:

Liberals think that just because a certain protester looks a certain way (i.e. overweight) that they should be ignored. That comports well with their supposed love of humanity. They’re self-serving fools in reality who will turn and keep people poor just to compensate for their own egos.

  40. Bobwurst says:

Third Reist, try removing the teabag from your face the next time you type, you’ll make more sense…

It’s interesting that you redstate conservobots are so angry about paying taxes when you are the biggest welfare states in the country. Il, Ca and Ma get back way less in taxes than AK AZ and TX, yet you whiners still complain that you’re paying too much.

  41. RantingTommy says:

    Reist thinks…

    .. o wait…no, he doesn’t

  42. labman57 says:

The tea parties would have more credibility if the participants were not so ignorant about the merits of their cause. It would be like people protesting “illegal aliens” by holding up signs that read “Martians go home!”.

  43. Joe Sixpack says:

    Reist Says:
Wow. I riled the liberals up.

Yes, and thanks for the input, pal. But what you said doesn’t make sense: Liberals enjoy dividing people based on income, gender, race, sex. I mean, if liberals are socialists, how does that statement fit?

-In China and India, the number of boys far outnumbers the number of girls because the government has a one-child policy. This has led to the creation of a society with a lot of militant males. You might want to check your School books on this one, Pal, as those “Militant Males” would only be about 12 years old now, since that policy was full instituted. And India? Check your facts, pal. India has no one child birth policy.

The enlightened “elitists” appear to the dumbest of the dumb. In view of the above stupid statements on your part, better rethink who is the dumb one here, dipstick.

  44. Reist says:

Liberals decide who succeeds and who does not succeed. If it’s the pretty girl over the hard working male, they will choose the pretty girl because they are that superficial. Reist Says:

Liberals think they corner the market on education, yet they’re only educated in pointed insults. The heads quickly exploded as soon as I signed in and started striking some nerves.

Please explain the difference between stiking a nerve and insulting someone brainiac. No wait, when you insult someone, it’s striking a nerve, when someone responds, they’re insulting. Does you mommy know you think about her when you masturbate?

  46. RantingTommy says:

Right wing sissies like Reist are always whining that really rich people have to pay taxes

Hey reist, if you had a job, you could look at your paycheck and see that you, and 95% of taxpayers, got a tax CUT, thanks to Obama’s budget.

But that would require brains and courage, 2 things which are in very short supply for right wing pansy cowards like Reist

  47. labman57 says:

If you ask a dozen different people attending the “tea parties” why they plan to attend, you will get a dozen different reasons and none will have any merit based on reality.

Obama has not raised taxes, he has cut them for the vast majority of Americans.

The Bush Administration created the national deficit problem, and now we MUST invest federal dollars to re-right the ship.

And it was the LACK of government regulation that caused the banking system to crash.

Complaining about “socialism”? Does that mean you plan to refuse Medicare when you become eligible? Will you encourage your elderly loved ones to do likewise? Cause there isn’t anything more “socialistic” at the federal level than taxpayer-subsidized health care for senior citizens.

Or are you one of those extreme right-wing fringe whack-jobs that still think Obama is a Muslim…or a foreigner….or an alien?

Quick, run to Rush. He’ll give you a new batch of scripted talking points.

And to the handful of folks that mistakenly believed that they would be participating in a genuine grass roots political event, well, there is no Easter bunny either. It is true that you have every right to protest, air your concerns, and express your anger about the economy. But at the same time, the reality is that you are being reduced to a propaganda tool for the bozos on FOX News, FreedomWorks, and elsewhere that wish to exploit your concerns for their own self-serving, disingenuous purposes. Best to take a hot shower when you get home.

Of course, these tea parties can help improve the economy if everyone had purchased stock in Lipton on Tuesday and then sells it on Thursday…

  48. Reist says:

A free country has two priorities, keep the dollar strong and provide a defense. Freedom is not free. President Bush achieved both.

  49. KingCranky says:

Within the past ten minutes, the CNN reporter at the Chicago neocon love-in just hammered some of the obvious dimmer bulbs taking part.

She kept asking one assclown why he was calling Obama a “fascist”, and then told him how offensive that was, and the only thing he could repeat, over and over, was “because he is”.

Another clod-using his two year old daughter as a prop-started whining about Obama referencing Lincoln, at which point, the reporter-didn’t catch her name-said the shrieking dunderpate would actually save money and that Illinois would be getting billions of stimulus dollars.

If anyone can find the clip, it’s definitely worth watching

    aquarius2 Says:

This is so damn funny, you have to read it. WaPo reports tea baggers had their fair share of problems. First, couldn’t dump tea bags in the Potomac, second had no permits for setting up stands and speakers.

I don’t think the original Boston Tea Party gave a crap about environmental impact or permits. If you really stand for something, then you should be willing to get arrested for it. It’s called the “courage of your convictions,” something which is clearly in short supply among this lot.

    .

    Reist Says:

Wow. I riled the liberals up.

Don’t get too pleased with yourself. A lot of us mostly just hang out here specifically to insult you lot when you show up.

    .

    Reist Says:

    In China…

Oh yeah, it’s not like that’s a completely irrelevant, extremely over-the-top cherry-picked argument. Way to make your case against a slight adjustment in the U.S. progressive tax structure, there.

I might as well argue against fascist policies in response or something, huh?

  51. Teowens says:

How can they continue to say they’re not promoting this? Fox and Friends are giving each other T-shirts marketed toward these protest, They’ve got information on how to get to a protest on their website as well as their chyron, and their focusing most of their news coverage in general today on these protest. MSNBC has spent literally three minutes a segment covering these events. It doesn’t take all this effort to simply COVER a protest.

  52. tom says:

Limbaugh just tried to explain to his audience what tea-bagging really means.
He said that he couldn’t/wouldn’t read definition # 2.

Of course, Limpballs’ simple description that everyone would have understood should have been “it’s what I do to little boys when I take my sex tourism trips to Costa Rica”.

While we are on the topic, the tea-party main organizer, Freedom Works (Dick Armey’s astro-turf operation) has produced a cheat sheet for attendees so that they can respond to “hostile” press at these tea-bagging gatherings. Here’s their advice to the brain-dead dittoheads who show up at these media events:

“DON’T BE DUPED! The term ‘teabagging’ has strong sexual connotations. Be wary of anyone with a camera asking you if you are a ‘teabagger’ or if you enjoy ‘teabagging’ or similar leading questions – they are trying to make a fool of you.”

I particularly like the phrase “they are trying to make a fool of you”. As if that would require any effort at all.

  56. Reist says:

Look at RantingTommy, he assumes that only a certain few should hold a job so that there is an entire poor class to make him look special.

RantingTommy wants the government to do several things: first, he wants the government to destroy the oil industry so that local and state budgets suffer and people are put out of work. And it’s happening now. He also wants to nationalize the health insurance industry and puts lots more people out of work.

Reist Says: Liberals think they corner the market on education, yet they’re only educated in pointed insults. The heads quickly exploded as soon as I signed in and started striking some nerves.

Keep believing that, little boy; it’s nothing short of laughable that you think we give a rat’s a$$ what you think. In the meantime, we’ll keep fixing the country that you and your little sandbox friends helped to destroy. Just remember, we won the election and you lost — and that means that everything the girls have been telling you, about what a LOSER you are, is true.

And given your first two nonsensical ranting posts on this thread, it’s pretty clear that the only head that exploded was yours. Try loosening up your tinfoil hat; that should help.

Oh, and one more thing to try: keep repeating to yourself, over and over, for at least the next four, but probably the next eight, years: President Obama…President Obama…. That oughta clear up your delusions (or at least make your head explode that much more quickly).

  59. ElBruce says:

I would be incredibly impressed if this whole thing turned out to be secretly organized by Lipton. In that case, I’d have to totally hand it to the conspiracy capitalists. We’re getting to the liberals, and all they have is projection of their own weaknesses to see them through.

  63. RantingTommy says:

you can’t because you are a pansy little liar

    Reist Says:

Wow. I riled the liberals up.

We don’t have to be “riled” to make fun of your stupidity. We do it for the entertainment factor. Obviously you know nothing about China or their society that makes boy children more desirable and led to the killing of girl children (not fetuses) to make room for a son. And I guess you never noticed how many Chinese girls are adopted in this country by infertile couples because their parents don’t want them.

But, it wasn’t Democrats who sold our future to China that was George Bush who cut taxes on the wealthiest of us while spending a trillion dollars on an unnecessary war borrowing money from China.

  67. The Ctenocephalides Dogfather says:

Reist Says: A free country has two priorities, keep the dollar strong and provide a defense. Freedom is not free. President Bush achieved both.

Bush achieved neither, dunderhead. Under Bush, the dollar lost about 35% of its value on the international currency markets, and under Bush this country was left defenseless against the largest foreign terrorist attack ever launched against us.

Again, try to get your facts straight before you spew your junk here — we’re all just a bit tired of shooting your sorry fish carcass in that barrel you’re floating in…

I have to ask, how much do you liberals give to charity? How much blood do you give? Because you’re not actually doing anything with all your plans with other people’s money, you’re just taking other people’s liberties, their goodwill, and consolidating them into salaries for arrogant, big government employees.

  75. katydid says:

you came in with LIES and IGNORANCE, reist…
and you’re not even clever enough to know what a tool you are…

  76. nanlichi nasschagii says:

Little Reist doesn’t masturbate. Jesus told him it was better to spill the seed in the belly of a whore than on the ground.

Those Kleenexes under his bed, well he just has a..a…a…sinus problem, yeah that’s it, a sinus problem.

And a poor self esteem problem, but he comes by that honestly.

  77. spring heeled jack says:

Oh Reist, you had me until camera phones.

  78. The Ctenocephalides Dogfather says:

Racist says: Conservatives produce, liberals complain and consume.

Conservatives produce what, more deficits, more homeless, more failed businesses, more ultra-rich tax dodgers? Yep, you’re right there.

And what do we “liberals” have to complain about? Things are going our way, over 60% of the citizens of this country see things our way, the rest of the world is starting to trust our country again, and we’ve eliminated the scourge of the Rushpublican party. Yep — no complainin’ here, loser…

  79. RantingTommy says:

Reist thinks he knows what I believe even when he can’t articulate what he believes, even when he is told what to believe by the radio and tv.

What a lying little pansy coward.

The invitation still stands, coward. Come on down and “discuss” it with me.

Downtown Atlanta – 7pm. I’ll be the one videoing the couple of dozen people that show up at the FOX corporate rally.

  80. Bobwurst says:

    Reist says:
Conservatives produce, liberals complain and consume.

says the idiot who is here complaining and consuming bandwidth.

Assuming you can mount a cogent argument, please explain why consuming is abad thing? Someone has to consume that glorious cornicoupia of products you galtists produce.

  81. RantingTommy says:

    Ok, we’ve all been fooled.

Reist is just a parody. Even right wingers aren’t as stupid as his posts

  82. The Ctenocephalides Dogfather says:

RT: Reist can’t meet you in Atlanta at 7pm; his mommy makes him go to bed at 6…

  83. Bobwurst says:

    RantingTommy Says:
Ok, we’ve all been fooled. Reist is just a parody.

You sure, I could have sworn it was sean hannity…

  84. RantingTommy says:

    The Ctenocephalides Dogfather Says:

RT: Reist can’t meet you in Atlanta at 7pm; his mommy makes him go to bed at 6…

I just thought he was simply another right wing coward that is too much of a sissy to back up his talking points

  85. Reist says:

I’ve got some advice, you keep waking up in your blue state slums, wake up with more ideas to take other people’s money, while people taxed to death march on with their goodwill. They don’t wake up everyday believing their better than everybody else. They work one day at a time. They instill good values in their children. They teach them to be polite in the classroom and in the workplace. Liberals turn out a lot of the same out of their children — they all look the same, talk the same, act the same, go the same places, expect the same out of those who differ from the pack. They are wolves under the guise of caring for humanity.

  86. Doodlebug Shayne says:

Why isn’t Reist at his local teabagging party. I guess he didn’t have one clean t-shirt to wear there.

  87. RantingTommy says:

    answer the question Reist:

why are you such a sissy little coward?

  88. RantingTommy says:

why are right wingers such sissy little cowards anyway?

    too much attention from mommy?

    too little?

so easily frightened, so easily fooled

  89. Reist says:

RantingTommy must have some guy issues, needing a hunky motorcycle. Liberals are obsessing right now over the less appropriate definition of teabagging. I have to say, Liberals like RantingTommy could use more of it in their lives.

  90. RantingTommy says:

now Reist thinks we’re all werewolves

    too funny

how do cowards like him find the strength to get out from under the covers?

  91. Reist says:

Liberals like RT: experts in class warfare.

  92. Wayne says:

    Reist Says:

Wow. I riled the liberals up.

more likely you bored most of us.
You really bore me with your nonsense. **yawn**

  93. nanlichi nasschagii says:

I pay more in taxes than you make in a year little Reist. And I don’t have a problem with it. It’s the whiny sissies that complain about taxes. I think you had better wear Depends when you talk to Ranting Tommy.

    Fck off.

  94. spring heeled jack says:

Reist, why are you on a liberal blog in the middle of a work day?

  95. RantingTommy says:

lol, now reist is offering to be tea-bagged by me?

sorry, i’ll pass. no telling where that mouth has been.

  96. Reist says:

You know the liberal is owned when all they have is insults and insults for questions. That’s pretty rich, RT. Funny too.

  97. Doodlebug Shayne says:

    Reist Says:

Sorry bubba but trailer parks are filled with rightwing nuts just like you. It was one of you right wing bible thumpers who kidnapped, molested and killed that little 8 year old girl in California. So eff you and your bs about how well behave you and your ilk are.

  98. Bobwurst says:

    Reist Says:

I’ve got some advice, you keep waking up in your blue state slums, wake up with more ideas to take other people’s money, while people taxed to death march on with their goodwill.

As I pointed out earlier, dumbass, blue states pay more in taxes then they get back in gov. spending, red state take more money ing gov, spending then they pay in taxes.

They don’t wake up everyday believing their better than everybody else. They work one day at a time. They instill good values in their children. They teach them to be polite in the classroom and in the workplace

This is the perfect description of blue state america. Why do you teach your childern to hate, to shoot police officers? To beat up gay people? why?

  99. RantingTommy says:

    Reist Says:

Liberals like RT: experts in class warfare.

Right wing pussies like reist and limbaugh and bush:
experts in avoiding warfare themselves while cheerleading for OTHERS to go to war

  100. makete says:

Hey reist and any other troll. Rusho is haveing a teabag party and your welcome to come. In fact they need you to come quick.

  101. Hoodathunktick says:

And when reist gets to the end of the talking point list, he will start all over. I wonder how many more posts it will take before he slips and calls someone a stupidhead.

  102. Doodlebug Shayne says:

    Reist Says:

Liberals like RT: experts in class warfare.

It isn’t class warfare to call ignorant creeps like you scum.

  103. RantingTommy says:

    Reist Says:

You know the liberal is owned when all they have is insults and insults for questions. That’s pretty rich, RT. Funny too.

so you can’t answer the question of why you are such a cowardly little pansy

    got it

  104. gummble-bee-itch says:

    Reist Says:

You know the liberal is owned when all they have is insults and insults for questions. That’s pretty rich, RT. Funny too.

You’ve offered nothing but insults in every one of your comments, dopey. Typical of a troll to whine about other people’s insults while insulting everyone else.

  105. RantingTommy says:

I guess I can be pretty confident that Reist is too much of a pussy to show up at the FOX corporate teabagging rally and “discuss” his ideology with me

o well, there will be at least a dozen redneck peckerwoods just like him i can ridicule

  106. Reist says:

HEY LIBERALS: Why are you constantly obsessed with what someone earns where they live?

Hey liberal nanlichi, where do get off by thinking that paying more in taxes makes you better than me or anyone else for that matter? Also, why do you want people to earn less money than you? You seem obsessed with wanting to see people below you – bad parenting issues, I assume.

  107. Reist says:

Liberal bloggers never go to work in the first place. The have unions to downsize the meaning of work, and that’s why we have to resort to buying crap from China as a result of that reduced productivity.

  108. Bobwurst says:

idiots like reist can’t have a discussion because they never talk to anyone outside their wingnut bubble where the crap reist is spewing is accepted without thought. Once one of them wanders out into the real world they’re lost.

  109. Doodlebug Shayne says:

And Reist, I wake up every morning knowing I am better than you. Because I can figure out I’d rather make $250K a year and pay 50% taxes than to make $30K a year and pay 10% taxes. You mathematically challenged dimwits can’t figure it out.

  110. Hoodathunktick says:

they all look the same, talk the same, act the same, go the same places, expect the same out of those who differ from the pack.

This is hilarious. Is he watching the Faux feeds from the Pee Parties?

  111. Tweedster says:

    Reist Says:

You know the liberal is owned when all they have is insults and insults for questions. That’s pretty rich, RT. Funny too.

    Remember November?

    Still laughing?

  112. Luis Chapulin M says:

Time to start flagging Reist… he’s not here for a discussion, he’s here just to insult “leeeberals”.

  113. Reist says:

I’m know too much of any “pussy” to kick you off your motorcycle, but I wouldn’t accrue a record against the rule of law for any pantywaist.

    Reist Says:
Liberal bloggers never go to work in the first place. The have unions to downsize the meaning of work, and that’s why we have to resort to buying crap from China as a result of that reduced productivity.

Crap, I just spit coffee all over my monitor. This clown may have a future on Comedy Central.

  115. Doodlebug Shayne says:

    Reist Says:

Liberal bloggers never go to work in the first place. The have unions to downsize the meaning of work, and that’s why we have to resort to buying crap from China as a result of that reduced productivity.

God you’re stupid. One of the reasons we can’t compete with manufacturing overseas is the cost of healthcare employers have to pay for workers, about $12.5k a year. But above you said that providing national healthcare would lose jobs here. You are dumber than a box of rocks.

  116. Luis Chapulin M says:

    Reist Says:
I’m too much of a “pussy” to kick you off your motorcycle…

There, fixed that for you. Youuuuuuu’re welcome!

  117. ElBruce says:

    Reist Says:

During the past two years that liberals have held the congress, massive job losses have occurred.

Here, hold this bag, it’s about to explode!

    (runs away)

You idiot, you blew up the bag!

    .

    Reist Says:

Conservatives produce, liberals complain and consume.

    A) Conservatives don’t produce crap.
    B) Conservatives consume plenty. In fact, reducing consumption is always a liberal movement.
    C) I believe the topic under discussion is conservatives complaining.

    .

    Reist Says:

I have to ask, how much do you liberals give to charity?

Excluding churches, liberals give more to charity than conservatives do.

    .

    Reist Says:

Notice how the bolded portion is completely the opposite of everything else you’re saying? There’s the root of your problem, right there.

  118. WAYNEBRO says:

    Reist Says:

I’m know too much of any “pussy” to kick you off your motorcycle, but I wouldn’t accrue a record against the rule of law for any pantywaist.

    Is this a sentence?

    :|

If so, what is its meaning?

  119. Doodlebug Shayne says:

Reist, why aren’t you at a tea party?

  120. Bobwurst says:

    Rightwing home school logic warning:

    Reist Says:

Liberal bloggers never go to work in the first place. The have unions to downsize the meaning of work, and that’s why we have to resort to buying crap from China as a result of that reduced productivity.

Apparently there is a union for liberal bloggers. Where do I sign up? How does one downsize the meaning of anything? Our crap comes from China because of corporate thieves sending those jobs there, not because liberal bloggers unionized.

  121. Tweedster says:

    Reist Says:

Liberal bloggers never go to work in the first place. The have unions to downsize the meaning of work, and that’s why we have to resort to buying crap from China as a result of that reduced productivity.

LMAO…are you employed? What about all those lazy teabaggers? They should be at work too.

  122. Reist says:

Point out where it says in the constitution that it’s the government’s business what anybody makes? You liberals are simply nosy extremists, you want to be chatty kathies at the expense of the hardship of everyday Americans. The economy tanked when liberals took the congress — that can’t be simply called a coincidence?

  123. Doodlebug Shayne says:

And Reist, I’m waiting for you to explain about all the good mannered folks in your community like the Sunday school teacher who raped and killed her daughter’s best friend when she came to the house and stuffed her in a suitcase and threw her in the water.

  124. Bobwurst says:

reist, did you mis-spell “resist” for you screen name? How do I get into the liberal bloggers union? I want my cheetos!

  125. WAYNEBRO says:

    Reist Says:

Point out where it says in the constitution that it’s the government’s business what anybody makes? You liberals are simply nosy extremists, you want to be chatty kathies at the expense of the hardship of everyday Americans.

Hardship? A 3 percent tax increase on the wealthiest 1 percent of Americans?

That’s what passes for “hardship” in your family?

    :|

On another note, what the heck is a “chatty kathie”?

  126. Reist says:

Isn’t it rich that liberals are obsessing over people’s income and job status during a time of recession they created when they first took the congress two years ago? I’m bringing out that true sensitivity all right. It’s never an outrageous statement that they need people to suffer to regain power. Yet, they never end up the remedy they try to pass themselves off. Monthly job losses under this president are the worst in a very long time.

  127. Tweedster says:

    Reist:

They are wolves under the guise of caring for humanity.

LOL…what on earth does this guise look like? I’ve never seen a “caring for humanity” before.

  128. Doodlebug Shayne says:

    Reist Says:

Point out where it says in the constitution that it’s the government’s business what anybody makes? You liberals are simply nosy extremists, you want to be chatty kathies at the expense of the hardship of everyday Americans. The economy tanked when liberals took the congress — that can’t be simply called a coincidence?

Apparently you don’t know that Bush who had never vetoed one bill under the Republican congress vetoed almost every bill under Democrats and that they didn’t have enough votes to override his veto. You are criminally stupid.

  129. Wayne says:

    Reist Says:

Point out where it says in the constitution that it’s the government’s business what anybody makes?

Why its in the 16th Amendment of the Constitution, passed in 1913.

    Dumbass.

  130. Bobwurst says:

wayne, don’t waste “facts” with this one. just slap it until it crys like a blubering becky doll.

  131. Reist says:

It’s a pretty well know fact that far-left presidencies don’t work. Unlike some of my fellow conservatives, I tend to acknowledge that Bill Clinton did a very good job in conjunction with conservatives in congress to give me a very good economy. I don’t consider President Clinton to be someone who liberals can use as evidence that their policies work, because he veered away from those policies and used pro-growth policies to give everybody a good economy. When everybody is succeeding, liberals can’t single anybody out as weaklings to be picked on.

  132. nanlichi nasschagii says:

Yes I do feel superior to you little Reist, but it has nothing to do with money. It has more to do with your poor showing.

I have a problem with fools who swallow the right wing feces flung at them from Rush and Faux News. I am pro-choice, you choose to be an idiot and I choose to disdain you.

  133. mk3872 says:

KateWords: You cannot be serious? MSNBC is like the left-wing’s Fox News???

Oh really?? What faux grass roots left-wing anti-Bush demonstrations has MSNBC promoted and sent its celebrities to so as to cover live all day long?

How many liberal commentators and shows does Fox News have like MSNBC’s Morning Joe?

  134. Bobwurst says:

It’s never an outrageous statement that they need people to suffer to regain power.

Says the rush “I want Obama’s plan to fail” limbaugh supporter…

  135. fire _ant_chavis says:

HEY REIST: YES WE DID! YES WE DID! YES WE STILL CAN! OBAMA IS STILL THE PRESIDENT – DEAL WITH IT!

  136. Bobwurst says:

    What about FDR resist?

  137. Reist says:

You are pro-choice because you want a designer baby society. You can’t stand a person with a disfigurement or disability. That’s the real intent behind liberals, root out and abort the problem so they don’t have to deal with what they call a burden! Heck, liberals don’t want any hardships. They don’t want to be challenged at all. They just want to feel dominant. Humbleness escapes them.

  138. ElBruce says:

    Reist Says:

Hey liberal nanlichi, where do get off by thinking that paying more in taxes makes you better than me or anyone else for that matter?

Probably because you use roads, bridges, police protection, fire protection, and seek to do business in an educated and regulated modern economy, but you don’t want to chip in to help pay for it. If you don’t want to pay your share to help keep America going, then quit going on and on about how proud you are of being an American. It’s like the one guy who didn’t chip in for pizza talking incessantly about how great the pizza is.

    .

    Reist Says:

The have unions to downsize the meaning of work.

    Unions are pro-worker. If you’re anti-union, then you’re anti-worker.

    .

    RantingTommy Says:

I guess I can be pretty confident that Reist is too much of a pussy to show up at the FOX corporate teabagging rally and “discuss” his ideology with me

Drop the e-peen and step away, sir. RL intimidation is always both inappropriate and ridiculous.

  139. Buckie Boy says:

Reist Says he enjoys blowing goats and the neighborhood dogs too.

The stupid is strong in this one.

  140. Alejandro says:

    Reist Says:
A free country has two priorities, keep the dollar strong and provide a defense. Freedom is not free. President Bush achieved both.

Actually, the government needs to but out of “keeping the dollar strong.” The way to keep the dollar strong is to end the Federal Reserve.

  141. Reist says:

    Wayne Says:

Why its in the 16th Amendment of the Constitution, passed in 1913.

So it says that the government has the right to know what someone makes?

  142. ElBruce says:

    Reist Says:

Isn’t it rich that liberals are obsessing over people’s income and job status…

Still have no idea what you’re talking about. Who’s obsessed with what? Yes, liberals are very concerned that too many people are underemployed and unemployed. Is that what you’re referring to? Obviously conservatives don’t give a crap about the state of the economy.

  143. Reist says:

    Buckie Boy Says:
Reist Says he enjoys blowing goats and the neighborhood dogs too.

The stupid is strong in this one.

You started out with a pointed insult, but then you had to deliver the punchline of irony to top it off, didn’t you?

  144. Hoodathunktick says:

Hmmm, is it just me or is reist becoming more grammatical in his posts? No more intelligent but his structure is improving. Either Troll Central brought in a ringer or we have a sleeper.

I think a chatty cathy was a doll made in the 60’s. It had a pull string that allowed the doll to repeat canned phrases, ad nauseum. Sort of like Republicans today.

  145. livelongandprosper says:

    Reist Says:

The have unions to downsize the meaning of work.

No, unions are used to downsize the meaning of slave labour.

Walmart’s average salary is below the poverty line. This is what you get without organized labour.

  146. ElBruce says:

    Reist Says:

    Wayne Says:

Why its in the 16th Amendment of the Constitution, passed in 1913.

So it says that the government has the right to know what someone makes?

It’s necessary for any tax to know what’s being taxed. If an income tax is authorized, then knowing what someone’s income is, is necessary.

Of course, you could have just looked it up yourself:

    Amendment 16
The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from
whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and
without regard to any census or enumeration.

Let me get this straight – is it your concern that Obama is going to create an Internal Revenue Service which will then start to intrude into people’s privacy to discover what their income is? Is that what you’re blathering about? Really?

  147. KateWords says:

mk3872 Says KateWords: You cannot be serious? MSNBC is like the left-wing’s Fox News???

Read my post again. I said that while MSNBC is liberal-biased in it’s views (and various shows, etc.), it still accurately reports the facts.

Which is where Fox differs: rather than simply showing a conservative bias, it literally distorts or invents the news to sell it’s product and provoke an addictive reaction. It’s a pusher of self-righteous indignation, hooking people on the high of being mad at everyone, the excitement of conspiracies, the self-pity of feeling persecuted and singled-out, etc.

    Oh, they’re brilliant alright.

  148. Reist says:

    Bobwurst Says:
just slap it until it crys like a blubering becky doll.

Is that supposed to be is where liberals are pro-women? They want to centralize do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do but then reserve their own practice of intolerance as they personally see fit.

  149. JPH says:

Scrolling around the blogs and news sites, it’s interesting to me that there is tons of coverage of the tax day “tea bag” events in the mainstream news sites, on political blogs and on sites that cover the news media. Where there is hardly a mention of the events is on the PR industry sites.

Why I find that interesting is that while the cable nets can have this faux debate over whether these teabagging events are real life protests or were generated by a public affairs/PR shop driven by corporate interests, everyone in the industry knows that they are the latter. Even without the direct evidence of Freedomworks’ involvement, the events have every single hallmark of a planned astroturf event on a large scale. There’s no denying it – but the industry trades are ignoring that.

Is that because it’s so obvious so it doesn’t warrant discussion or is it because there is no one in the industry interested in discussing the strategy, tactics and ethics behind these events. If the latter, is that because PR people are all so depraved or just don’t care?

  150. Alejandro says:

    Reist Says:
I have to ask, how much do you liberals give to charity?

A better question would be, if the income tax were eliminated, how much would anyone here donate to the federal government? If you weren’t forced to pay, would you still pay?

So it says that the government has the right to know what someone makes?

Yes. The government has to know how much you make to tax it. That’s one of the main problems with the income tax. It’s why it’s so pernicious. That and the immorality of the government laying claim to a person’s labor. But it’s not slavery because it’s not 100% of your labor, just 15-39%.

  151. nanlichi nasschagii says:

Little Reist doesn’t want to be dominant. I guess we can figure out his preferred teabag position. Nice flat forehead on that Neanderthal.

  152. Hoodathunktick says:

JPH Says: Is that because it’s so obvious so it doesn’t warrant discussion or is it because there is no one in the industry interested in discussing the strategy, tactics and ethics behind these events. If the latter, is that because PR people are all so depraved or just don’t care?

Or most PR firms have enough sense to realize this stunt is a really bad idea and the backwash from it is not something any rational person or group would want to deal with?

  153. spring heeled jack says:

    Reist says:

Stupid Obama voters have their misinformation and camera phones, yet we’re supposed to take their youth power claims seriously.

Reist, old boy! What do you have against camera phones and why are they a hallmark of liberalism?

  154. Reist says:

When any jobs are created, liberals insist that illegals suck them dry.

  155. Hoodathunktick says:

Reist, old boy! What do you have against camera phones and why are they a hallmark of liberalism?

Maybe it interferes with his other job of peeping tom.

  156. ElBruce says:

    Alejandro Says:

That’s one of the main problems with the income tax. It’s why it’s so pernicious. That and the immorality of the government laying claim to a person’s labor.

The main problem I see occurring with income tax is that it effectively treats you as guilty until proven innocent, in that the burden of proof is on the taxpayer to prove that they made $X in taxable income and not some greater amount. Unfortunately, I can’t think of a scheme that avoids that problem.

As for “laying claim to a person’s labor,” I don’t see it that way at all. Analogy: if you are going to run a hot dog cart in the park and you have to pay for a permit to conduct business, that doesn’t mean the government “laid claim” to your cart. It means that you paid for the right to conduct business in the society being governed. You could go set up your hot dog cart on a desert island somewhere for free, but you won’t get customers. People come to the park, which costs money, which has to come from somewhere.

  157. Reist says:

Did I strike a nerve, stringy. The youth movement dems depend on are the youtube culture filming themselves in their stupidity and invading the privacy of others, with camera phones.

As for “laying claim to a person’s labor,” I don’t see it that way at all. Analogy: if you are going to run a hot dog cart in the park and you have to pay for a permit to conduct business, that doesn’t mean the government “laid claim” to your cart.

No, the government is laying claim to the park.

It means that you paid for the right to conduct business in the society being governed. You could go set up your hot dog cart on a desert island somewhere for free, but you won’t get customers. People come to the park, which costs money, which has to come from somewhere.

So instead of asking for donations, let’s force people to pay for a park they may or may not use.

  193. Reist says:

Nope, vehemently opposed to abortion. Health care for the mother is not a government responsibility and it doesn’t have to be, neither does it provide an excuse to abort an imperfect baby just to make the family photo look good for distribution.

I bring this up because liberals have raised all kinds of strawmen regarding it. Yet, if you look at Britain, Europe & China, they are aborting babies with birth defects, ala designer babies. You think it’s some right-wing policy, it’s not. That’s what liberals are working to, a perfect society that doesn’t exist. And wolf on others who are different.

That was the Amendment that created a national income tax, so yes, in order for them to tax your income, they have to know what you make.

The Amendment that created income tax was passed and signed into law by a Republican Administration as well.

But it seems you are too stupid to check on that yourself, you need to actually read something instead of listening to the (FOX) right wing nut jobs on the magic sparkle box.

  200. Alejandro says:

    El Bruce,

You said that the hot dog cart owner paid for the right to do business. Do you pay for rights? Or do you pay for privileges? If you need permission to do business in a certain area, does that mean you have a right to do business? Well, no. Doing business is a privilege granted by your masters.

Do you own your house and the land it’s on? Not if you have to pay rent to the government, which almost all people in this country do. Stop paying rent and see how long you get to keep “your” house.

Just about anything of consequence is done by permit in this country. Everything is taxed and regulated. But this is the new freedom.

TP portrays the tea parties as if only Right Wingers are attending the tea parties and the few hand selected pictures they posted on these blogs somehow discredits the majority of tea party attendies as well as the reason and meaning of the protests.

On top of this, I see that the TP-left-wing-radical-drones are lapping it up as if it is the gospel truth that only Right Wingers are attending these tea parties.

I just walked through one of the tea parties and it was very clearly comprised of Americans from all walks of life. I saw hispanics, african americans, women, teenagers, seniors and some of those “dreaded” … white men that you all hate so much. I saw a middle aged hispanic woman holding up a sign that said “Obama supporter for lower taxes and less waste”

TP writers and bloggers are being divisive and derisive. You are no better than the radical right wingers that you bash.

Interestingly enough, none of those towns actually have decent schools, roads or parks. But According to Alejandro, at least some of them must, because he sees voluntary donations for public works as a viable social model.

You seem to think it’s the government’s job to provide direct care, it is not. Regardless of what the government does, it is not for them to support the intent of those with bad motives to abort their baby just because they won’t look or act a certain way. Sometimes level of health care has nothing to do with it, it is simply unpreventable. You want an excuse and are not entitled to one.

Sure, except that if a young mother is going to give birth it helps to have prenatal care to make sure the infant is healthy. Also, it doesn’t give single mothers much confidence to have a disable baby when she knows people like you will deny her child healthcare or if she does get help you will call her a good for nothing welfare mom. You see where that leads to more abortions, I’m sure you don’t.

What I’m saying is you get what you pay for. If you want to live in a really nice town with really good schools it costs money. Some of us are happy to pay that money to live in a nicer town. The following two propositions are completely different in terms of rights:

    1) The government taps our phones
    2) Some private individuals own camera phones which they sometimes use to take pictures in public places

Surely you can see the difference here? Between people doing something that’s in their rights and the government doing something to you? I mean if you’re trying to bill yourself as pro-liberty, you should at least be able to tell the two apart, right?

HAVE ALL LIBERALS LOST common sense ?
PEOPLE … WAKE UP !!!! Start researching history and stop blindly following your dear college progressive teachers!!! Most of college professors are liberals and cheer for big State, big government because they need it to survive !!!! most of them can not leave on a reward efficiency and productivity environment.

    YOUNG PEOPLE of AMERICA !!!!

I have lived 35 years in a 3rd world country where government is always the solution !!!
THOSE countries , including my home nation, ARE STILL 3rd WORLD country!!!!
Taxes are needed at some extent to protect THE PEOPLE and assure their freedom and rights. Government was never meant to control THE PEOPLE.

Just think for one minute: If had made 1000 USD today and have it in your wallet, would you be better serving your country by choosing how to spend it , even if you choose to donate all of it or hire a handy man to fix your place or if you were allowed to keep only 500?
This is what big Government means. Someone that has “the law” on their side, grabs 50% of your work pay and uses for their own political gain!!!
It is so stupid to think a politician can better take care of you or your community or the country , than yourself!!!!

Keep giving government more money and they will keep getting more!
Keep giving away your freedom and soon USA will be a 3rd World country!
Stop relying on government to “help” the need. Start doing it yourself!!!!

Unless, of course you are part of the increasing population of non tax payers that only receive goodies from the government , who is taking money from the people who really generate jobs and wealth.

PLEASE WEAKE UP !!! I am not even a voter! I am an Immigrant that has lived the ways of progressive government! Educate your self. You do not need to agree with me on everything, but have common sense and see beyond the political party glasses.
