Just statistically speaking, that’s going to create some violent problems. You people really should start taking at least a little responsibility for what you’re trying to do to harm our veterans and society at large.

The Right has been thinking of ways to spit on veterans since Vietnam–earlier, if you count black WWII vets in the South.

While there are no documented accounts of hippies spitting on returning troops, the Right has been hurling gobs at vets like George McGovern, John Kerry,Max Cleland, Jack Mutha, and, when they aren’t available, their mothers.

And just to be fair, I won’t just mention Timothy McVeigh, but the DC Sniper as well, who was arguably a left-wing extremist.

You’re quiet on Walter Reed abuses. You’re silent on reductions in veterans’ benefits. But you’ll wave any rag around in the air if you think you can score a point, only to drop immediately afterwards.

The sanctity of the commander in chief,the War on Terror, Christianity, taxes, Supporting Our Troops–you respect none of it. You love nothing except winning.

Which is why you go insane when you lose.

I think the reaction from conservative commentators is that the worst of them have actively promoted extreme-right ideas and fostered paranoia. They know it too, or they wouldn’t be so freaked out about this report. And honestly, to use the meme of “supporting our troops,” as a justification for slamming the report’s concerns about disgruntled veterans is more than stupid. Disgruntled vets have joined extremist groups on both the right and the left for years.

Left-wing extremists likely to increase the use of cyber-attacks? Crack down on them, deter the threat. I welcome the report.

Right-wing extremists, on the other hand, should receive special treatment and free diaper changes from DHS because their representative element, passed off as mainstream conservatism, cannot take even a line-item of criticism.

Their ability to screw up big time is protected by “freedom” and any accountability is “tyranny”.
