Fascism is an extremely appropriate description of the Bush doctrine. The notion that the Chief Executive is unlimited by the legislature, the courts or by any statute of law is the central definition of fascism. Bush nationalized a number of banks in the last days of his Presidency. He has technically nationalized more industries than Hugo Chavez. Got a link on any of Obama’s signing statements? Of course by themselves, they’re not a bad thing. It’s when the President attempts to use them as an excuse to amend law rather than go on record regarding how they intend to execute it that we have a problem.

Also putting Iraq and Afghanistan in the budget, rather than as “emergency” expenditures. We were already paying for them, just not counting them in the budgetary numbers.

You know regarding the contractor thing, I wonder when running a chow line or guarding a power plant even started being something the military couldn’t do…
