The Repulican Party wants to maintain the status-quo (dominated by white males) while the demographics of the country are radically shifting. If things don't change within the party, it will be irrelevant in 10-20 years and I don't know if that's a good thing. I live in Georgia and was glad Saxby Chambliss won as I don't like any party having absolute control. Checks and balances help us stay closer to the center. Steele may come off as loopy but I understand what he’s trying to do.
