Hey Kevin. I just saw the YouTube video about web 3.0 and I have had this idea about our future economy.
It’s a bit in tune with the Zeitgeist film. See, if all of our knowledge was shared, we couldn’t make money of it. Siki?
porno
Porno izle
sex videolar?
I’m a musician and I kinda have the feeling that in the future people will pay for live performances, because we have computer software that is very close to sounding like a musical instrument, with a modelled human touch. So, if a person that has never played the guitar, can click a button and sound like Jimi Hendrix, than what is the coolness about all this digital music really? Infact, I think that the more advanced this gets, the less interesting it becomes. We are still in awe over a youngster that can make the violin cry and we will definately be in even more awe when a person can actually do with their fingers that what we can do in an iPhone application.

Rick Santorum has said some awful things, but this is really not so awful. Sure, it's condescending, but saying that the Obamas have a model marriage is true. It is also arguable that their Date Nights should include activities that can be emulated by couples of modest means. I am kind of surprised that Santorum admitted that African-American families are more likely to be poorer, and that marriages among poor families are in more danger of failing. In a way, his underlying argument here is kind of progressive.

This is just a re-hash of the 2008 campaign trying to paint Obama as "elitist". They're trying to make the working class, particularly whites, think "Well, by God, he ain't like me, he's one dem' fancy, city-slicker college boys".

I also think there's a secondary "who does he think he is, he's an uppity one" racist veiled message.

Purple State Says:

Scary Brown Chick, I don't think it's the Broadway show that had the right-wing pundits' panties in bunches. I think it was more the trip to get there on "Air Force One" and the traffic it caused.

Gee, New York traffic. Outrageous.

At least it was a short trip going to NY, probably a 20-minute flight that didn't use up as much jet fuel as say, going to Crawford TX. And NY traffic is always sucked up, presidential visit or not. Besides, I think it's cool to have traffic sucked up for a good reason like the prez rather than some drunken slob who got into a collision on the GWB.

Crawford wasn't Bush's "home". It was his prop. Where's he living now? Case closed.

But you've got to love Santorum's logic. 1) Engage in a multi-year work-a-thon 2) ask your wife what she'd like as a symbolic thank-you for putting up with it 3) ignore what she asked for and 4) Drag her down to the local bar for a beer.

Either Mrs. Santorum enjoys knocking a few back with the boys at the bar or Ricky has a limited imagination. Or both, of course.

Texans Says:

To the dishonorable, "republicans hate facts ", CRAWFORD TEXAS was George Bush's home. Are you implying that Obama lives in New York. Sounds like you hate facts. Get a life creep!

Very capable point that we mustn't forget; Crawford was a home outside of a home, and presidents have enjoyed this luxury in the past. We mustn't shoot down Bush for wanting to go home, even if it was for 490 of his 2,922 days in office there (16.8%). The previous record for vacationing in a two-term presidency? Ronald Reagan (436 days).

I can only hope Bush used much of that time doing work.

Your hopes were not disappointed. He did work from home.

CC, I think backup is hardly in the same category as some of the trolls here. He shows some civility for the arguments and doesn't degenerate into name-calling.

That being said, I enjoy watching the First Couple act like a married couple and plug their family values into society. So he takes a trip out to New York for a show. There's no evidence that this is going to be the norm, and the fact he's done his job over the past four months tells me that he deserves a night on the town.

We all need a break, and I doubt that Bush 43 would have disagreed with the trip himself.

Santorum's lack of culture is showing. Going to dinner and a Broadway show is not a "fancy" date. As a born and raised New Yorker, I can tell you that's a pretty common date. It's just one notch above going to dinner and a movie. Even people who aren't going on dates did that on a regular basis with a group of friends. Heck, we went to Broadway shows as kids on school trips!

Whoa.... are you feeling well?.... that is not a typical position for you -- praise for the president?....

On the other hand, I can't seem to argue with you, there.

I agree with Santorum that it's positive that the Obama's make marriage seem cool.

It's cool that the Obama's seem to have a strong personal, romantic partnership.

It's cool that they seem to make spending time together, and with their kids, a priority.

If we believe that the First Family act as role models, and that marriage (or partnership) and family benefit society; the Obama's are doing a good job of promoting that lifestyle to the rest of us.

I really have no problem with Erkel (the first Arab-American to usurp the Presidency of the U.S.) taking his broad Amarosa out to a play and a cool 40-ouncer. I just wish they had taken Air France One.

Oh well, I can still HOPE that his kidneys fail.

I loathed, and continue to loathe, George W. Bush.

However, I have never written or uttered a negative word about his wife or daughters.

Any president's family joins him in the White House without being elected to the presidency. They deserve privacy, and our respect.
