Rick Perry presents an award to ‘brother’ Limbaugh and proclaims: ‘God bless Rush Limbaugh.’

Last Thursday, Rush Limbaugh came to Texas for a “pep rally” in support for Governor Rick Perry and Rep. Michael McCaul (R-TX). Both Republicans have championed Limbaugh’s call to make President Obama fail: McCaul has called on the tea party protesters to shed the blood of the tyrannical Obama administration and Perry has repeatedly said that Texas might have to secede from the nation. Limbaugh accepted Perry’s offer of an Honorary Texan award with an awkward fist bump/hand shake:

PERRY: And you said something on your radio station that you thought you ought to pack up and move to Texas. [cheers] When when you get here brother, you an honorary Texan. God bless Rush Limbaugh.

Watch it:

As Perry held Limbaugh tightly to present him with the award, McCaul stood behind the two cheering and clapping the entire time. (HT: Burnt Orange Report, Huffington Post)

This language of “wanting Obama to fail” is treasonous.

    Sure it is pal . . .

Yes, it is treasonous to wish for the failure of the office of the president of America, unless you are not an American.

since when does that socialist mulatto pin-head define “America?”

Since the majority of the voting population voted for him to be the president. Bush “defined America” by his actions as president, regardless of the protests of those who did not agree with his policies. Every president “defines” America by the policies that he implements. Your racist rant has no bearing on any argument, and is a juvenile ad hominem attack that has no value whatsoever.

The Founding Fathers must be frothing at the mouth that we haven’t dealt with the flea in a more timely manner

Threatening to assinate the president (which IS rahter implicit in your comment here, partiucualrly when taken in light of your racist comment in this post and the comments of your posts in general) is treason, unless you are not an American. But if your moniker is accurate then you are an American.

Johnintexas, why do you hate America so much that you are gleefully a traitor calling for the assassination of a sitting president?

I know from personal experience that Rush and his fellow Palm Beachers would sooner spit on those without the kind of money they deem acceptable to be able to be part of their exclusive group.

Why do you think they cloister themselves on an island. It certainly isn’t because they want riff raff like John and $$ hanging with them.

  27. Wiz says:

Perry lied if he ever said the Pledge of Allegience. He will easily be defeated in the GOP primary if Hutchinson goes after him on this point. I have a better suggestion.
Move to Dubai, Limpo. Great beaches, sunny most of the year, and also has lively prostitution district.

Only one minor detail. Many locals don’t take too kindly to SWINE.

I’d love to hear Rush explain why his fist bump was not a terrorist fist bump, but the Obama’s fist bump was. Oh, wait, they never claimed the Obamas did a terrorist fist bump. They merely asked, for days, in the national media, whether the Obamas’ fist bump was a terrorist fist bump….

REPUBLICANS INCAPABLE OF LEARNING FROM THEIR MISTAKES

In order to gain the political power they enjoyed for more than two decades, Republican moderates and fiscal conservatives made a pact with the devil (faux Christians, bigots and misanthropes) to achieve the numbers they needed to defeat Democrats. They made a strategic decision to manipulate and exploit the ignorance, fears and hatreds of dysfunctional and vulnerable voters in order to WIN elections rather than LOSE them by being intellectually and morally honest. THEY SIMPLY DECIDED THE ONLY WAY THEY COULD WIN WAS TO LIE! What Karl Rove, George Bush and Dick Cheney were all willing to do to WIN was LIE to the American people. And the only option today’s Republicans have to defend those LIES is to tell MORE LIES!

Today, those who conspired with the devil are caught between wanting to disassociate themselves with and or casting out the devil they empowered and the karmic reality that they don’t have the numbers to hold on to or regain power without continuing to accept and “advocate” the immoral values, hypocrisies and corruptions that are dividing and destroying their party.

The survival of today’s shrinking Republican Party has become so dependent on extremism that they have no significant power left WITH or WITHOUT the support of America’s increasingly pernicious lunatic fringe.

The idiom “caught between the devil and the deep blue sea” is certainly appropriate as Republicans are facing the dilemma of choosing between two equally undesirable alternatives that both result in Republican impotence in mainstream American politics. They are suffering the consequences of their treachery.

Their irresponsible propping up of George W. Bush cost them their credibility, and their disgraceful and shameless licking of Rush Limbaugh’s storm trooper boots is costing them their viability.

We’d also have to remove any form of US government agency, including military bases from Texas soil which would cost you at lease 50,000 to 100,000 jobs. Unfortunatley we’d have to put a wall up around your country to keep Texas nationals from entering the United States and stealing US jobs. But it worth it, right?

Oh and by the way, please don’t try spreading your dissent to the rest of the US or we’ll be forced to “bomb you back to the stone age” which would also serve as a convenient excuse to steal your oil. All the above also goes for Alaska.

Bad idea. Inbred gun freaks (i.e. most Texans) would amass on border with Mexico and begin the wholesale elimination of anything that moves.

In other words, a “field day” of murder. No thank you.

That’s good, then they wouldn’t see us coming from behind. They’d be fighting two countries.

Limbaugh makes $44 million a year and cries about having to pay taxes. If he had to pay 50% which he doesn’t he’d have to live on $22 a year. He has no children so I guess he thinks he can take it with him. Most celebrities realize how lucky they are to make the money they do and say they would gladly pay more taxes. Selfish pr*ck.

    Dear Gov Perry,

Thank you for adopting Rush Limbaugh as your “brother” and holding him close for that photo op. I owe ya, man.

    Sincerely,
    Your political opponents

Can we add to or rewrite the US Constitution to kick Texas out of the union for good?

From the sound of it, only sounded like less than 10 people were there. Did anyone see any of the “majority” in attendance at Perry’s “minority” racist confab? How much do you think racist Limpnuts contributed to Perry’s failed re-election bid? Which is the real reason Perry presented that shyt paper of award to him. BARF!!!!

Limpdick and Goodhair as brothers? I can see the two of them together sitting in Limbauigh’s $450,000.00 car in a Denny’s parking lot some place in Texas….

Just when I thought Texas couldn’t get any lower than having the Bushes as residents,(their not citizens of Texas in my book), along comes Perry slapping medals, honorary diplomas, giving the keys to Texas to such a lowest of primates, Rash Limpballs has really shaken my universe. They must have had an earthquake at the zoo and the Perrys, the Newt Gangrens, the don’t look now or Dick will shoot you, and others sub-primates too numerous to mention have escaped.

In Rick Perry’s Republic of Texas, a place could be found for his “brother” Rush . Perhaps Sec.Of Education.

If I have to register as a republican to vote for Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson in the republican gubernatorial primary. Then that is i will do to do my part to make sure Rick the Dick Perry is not on ballot in Nov 2010.

I think Rush would prefer to run the Food and Drug Administration.

Man, you just have to love Texas! Outside of Alaska, we’re probably the closest remaining link to what this nation used to be all about . . . state’s rights, liberty, freedom, manliness and balls!

That’s not to say that our big city ghettos aren’t crime-ridden cesspools and that in our universities we don’t have the stench of liberal wussiness . . . but when you get out of the cities and into the small towns, we are still the Republic.

    1836 . . . every state in Mejico revolted against the central government’s destruction of the Constitution . . . only one estado . . . Tejas . . . won its independence and declared itself a Republic . . . and that hatred of tyrants is in our blood . . . Lone Star, baby . . .

If the hatred of tyrants was in your blood then you would’ve hated Bush. Clearly you’re too stupid to know the definition of the word tyrant.

As for your so called “revolution”, quit running your mouth about it inbred, and as your former tyrant liked to say “bring it on”.

Seriously, when are you closet cowards going to start with your “revolution” and actually do something besides talk about it in liberal blogs? Come on up to DC with your big fat mouth, and watch as millions of Americans kick your asses back to the stone age from whence they came.

Like Bush you’re all hat and no cattle. All mouth and no balls. I see nothing but a punk kid in a blog running his mouth about assassination of our President and starting a revolution, but I don’t see no revolution.

I see State Governors who are no doubt on FBI watch lists handing out made up scrolls to bloated self indulgent disk jockeys, threats in blogs but I see no revolution.

    Quit talking and start chalking.

That is if you’ve got any game.

    :|

Just remember to line up on the battlefield though.

Otherwise, you’ll just be “terrorists”, and be dealt with accordingly.

  99. WillWrite4Food says:

I swear there’s a contest to see which GOP governor is the most insane. Sanford is doing his best trying to turn South Carolina into a Third-World Nation, Perry wants Texas to leave the Union, and what’s good for Sarah Palin must be good for the nation but not her own state. Honestly though, if Texas leaves then we can add Puerto Rico and won’t have to change the flag; America would be better off without the Dallas Cowboys and Ron Paul.

I knew he would still be wallpapering this thread. I take the Holocaust seriously enough not to wear it out. I am not nor have I ever been anti-semitic. I’m agnostic. Why in the world would I be anti-semitic? The assertion that I would “forget” or approve of any persecution and systematic murder is anti-social.
