There have always been some orthodox Jews who were opposed to the establishment of Israel.

That opposition is on a key point of Jewish theology – they maintain that the nation of Israel could only be established by a messiah, and he hasn’t shown up yet. Therefore, doing it through the U.N. or any other way would be premature and thus false.

In every terrorist/resistance movement through history, it’s been shown that the more military pressure you put on an oppressed population, the more resistant they become, thus decreasing the effectiveness of military measures even as military pressure increases. The only way to “kill all the terrorists” harbored by a given population would be to systematically slaughter the entire harboring population.

The only methods that have been shown to be effective (other than the oppressing regime losing a war with a third party) involve stopping killing people.

And if on top of all that, we have seemingly mainstream media (ie FauxNews) legitimizing and perpetuating hate speech on a daily basis, it’s no wonder these people are so angry and ready to take violent action against abortion providers, Pres Obama, liberals, Muslims, immigrants…

Not to mention that hearing the word “fact” from a FauxNews talking head was just too rich.
