Normally I would say this is totally uncalled for. Especially in regards to our President. But Liberals took the gloves off a long time ago with George W. Bush. I disagreed with GWB a lot and didn’t think much of him as a President. But he was our President and with the way the liberal media and others treated him I knew that the respect that we’re supposed to show, even with people we disagree with, was now a thing of the past.

Liberals love mud slinging. If you donate money to a cause you believe in and they don’t, they’ll attack your family. Liberals act as if they are loving, caring, protectors of freedom when in reality all that they are is wolves in sheep’s clothing waiting to tear you up to get what they want.

Vietnam is an example of what Liberals are; people that will use you as their cause and then let just let you die once their political agenda has been reached. All while calling the opponent the very thing they are.

Reading the comments that are posted on here I am laughing so hard it hurts. I am amazed at how many people have no clue and are drinking the Democrat’s cool aid.
Time for a history lesson. How many of you uninformed people can tell me what party it was that didn’t want equal rights for blacks and women? Here I will help you out it was the DEMOCRAT’S. Look it up. It was the Republican party that voted by majority for blacks and women to have the same rights as white men.
Lesson number 2. What party has promised to help blacks for 40 years and not done a thing for them? WOW again DEMOCRAT’S.
Here is a better one. How many blacks died because of Katrina? The mojority of them were black and who was in charge of La. for all those years and in charge of La. when it happen? What a supprise DEMOCRAT’S.
Wow everyone here is trying to make people believe that the republicans are the ones that support racism. Well it shows just how uneducated and uninformed most people are, or at least how short thier memory is.

Fact: The Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S’s: Slavery, Secession, Segregation and now Socialism.

Fact:It was the Democrats who fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws. The Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize blacks. The Democrats fought to prevent the passage of every civil rights law beginning with the civil rights laws of the 1860’s, and continuing with the civil rights laws of the 1950’s and 1960’s.

Fact:Democrat President John F. Kennedy is lauded as a proponent of civil rights. However, Kennedy voted against the 1957 Civil rights Act while he was a senator, as did Democrat Senator Al Gore, Sr. And after he became president, John F. Kennedy was opposed to the 1963 March on Washington by Dr. King that was organized by A. Phillip Randolph who was a black Republican. President Kennedy, through his brother Attorney General Robert Kennedy, had Dr. King wiretapped and investigated by the FBI on suspicion of being a Communist in order to undermine Dr. King.

Fact:Democrat Senator Robert Byrd, a former member of the Ku Klux Klan, called Dr. King a “trouble-maker”

Fact:Republicans started the NAACP and affirmative action with Republican President Richard Nixon‘s 1969 Philadelphia Plan.

Fact:Republicans founded the Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Republican Senator Everett Dirksen from Illinois was key to the passage of civil rights legislation in 1957, 1960, 1964 and 1965.President Lyndon Johnson could not have achieved passage of civil rights legislation without the support of Republicans.

Fact:Critics of Republican Senator Barry Goldwater who ran for president against Democrat President Lyndon Johnson in 1964, ignore the fact that Goldwater wanted to force the Democrats in the South to stop passing discriminatory laws and thus end the need to continuously enact federal civil rights legislation.

Contrary to the false assertions by Democrats, the racist “Dixiecrats” did not all migrate to the Republican Party. “Dixiecrats” declared that they would rather vote for a “yellow dog” than vote for a Republican because the Republican Party was known as the party for blacks.
Democrat Senator Robert Byrd who is well known for having been a “Keagle” in the Ku Klux Klan.
Another former “Dixiecrat” is Democrat Senator Ernest Hollings who put up the Confederate flag over the state capitol when he was the governor of South Carolina.

Today, Democrats, in pursuit of their socialist agenda, are fighting to keep blacks poor, angry and voting for Democrats. Examples of how egregiously Democrats act to keep blacks in poverty are numerous.

Democrats have been running our inner-cities for the past 30-40 years, and blacks are still complaining about the same problems. Over $7 trillion dollars have been spent on poverty programs since President Lyndon Johnson’s War on Poverty with little, if any, impact on poverty. Diabolically, every election cycle, Democrats blame Republicans for the deplorable conditions in the inner-cities, then incite blacks to cast a protest vote against Republicans.

How true this is.

I lover Liberals – they are funny people. Most have an IQ of almost average. Racial jokes will always happen. Ever here a white man joke? Ever see a movie called “White Men can’t jump”? Hmm. The left is the most racist of all, they specifically point out white males as the racist while they drink their 40’s at a NAACP (I mean Black Panther) meeting. I just love where ever a non white person is in charge, property values go down, corruption is high, the wife get cheated on, and there is a scandal. Sure it can happen to a white guy, but liberals like that shyt more. For the people? Obama did in 100 days more damage than Bush did in 8 years. My favorite comments here are that everyone who votes republican is a “racist.” I wonder if I’ll get “flagged?” A comment like that is the ultimate “race card.”

So there are no black republicans? Or are they simply “Uncle Toms?”

I love these sites where you can be free to comment….as long as your comments agree with everyone else. Got to love liberals. They’re all for free speech, unless it goes against what they think.

BTW – I think the e-mail is inappropriate. Like it or not, Obama is the president. Sending watermelons, creating these types of “jokes” and calling names only reflects the attitudes of some people. Obama deserves respect as the president. But then, so did Bush.

In Defense of Ms Goforth:

The eMail Ms. Goforth dispatched is indefensible as is her poor excuse of sending it to the wrong list of people. Ms. Goforth used very poor judgment in sending the eMail to anyone or in thinking it was funny or entertaining.

In a sound bite it is easy to paint Ms. Goforth as a racist and a hater of the disadvantaged. Sherri is anything but a racist or a hater. If Sherri were known as the person she is, it would not be hard to understand why she was not fired.

I have known Sherri since 1968, the year she began her career in state government in Tennessee. I was so impressed by her, I employed her as my personal assistant for 13 years while she was not working in State government. I found Sherri to be a loving, loyal, compassionate, and intelligent person. I never saw her demonstrate anything but respect for everyone, regardless of their race. I know she goes out of her way to befriend people; I know she sees people as human beings. I know she has a heart for everyone. Sherri is not a racist; she is not a hater. She is not stupid.

Sherri has been married to the same man for over 40 years. Their family is an example for us all to admire and imitate. She and Steve have two adopted children, biological siblings, who were removed from their unfit biological parents by the State; the children were 9 and 10 at the time of adoption. The Goforths also have a special needs biological child with Downes Syndrome, now in her 30’s. A few years ago Steve quit his job to open a small take-out restaurant for Katie so she could become independent. Katie is the chef. The restaurant has been a big success. As a result Katie has made a name for herself; Sherri and Steve have given Katie a skill that will ensure her independence when they are gone. Katie is quite a remarkable person.

Sherri’s entire life has been one of hard work, endurance, sacrifice, and love. I never heard either Steve or Sherri complain about their circumstances. They focused on the challenge and the blessing. Sherri and Steve are supporters of the Special Olympics; they also work with parents of Downs children to see the blessing they have been given.

This unfortunate incident does not define Sherri Goforth. Sherri deserves another chance. Sherri truly has a heart for the whole world, without exception. We can all learn from this incident. We’ve all had lapses in good judgment. In the end, forgiveness always trumps castigation. We are all in this together.
