Attorney General Holder reminds Sessions who’s boss.
This morning, Attorney General Eric Holder testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Ranking member Jeff Sessions (R-AL) slammed the Justice Department’s release of Bush-era memos authorizing the use of torture on terrorist suspects, telling Holder that his “predecessor, Judge Mukasey, and Mr. Hayden,” the former Director of National Intelligence, “didn’t approve of that at all.” Holder reminded Sessions that Mukasey and Hayden were no longer in charge:
SESSIONS: Well it was disapproved by your predecessor, Judge Mukasey, and Mr. Hayden, the CIA, um, DIA [sic] director. They didn’t approve of that at all. … You were willing to release matters that the DNI and the Attorney General believe were damaging to our national security.
HOLDER: Well, one attorney general thought that. I am the Attorney General of the United States, and it is this attorney general’s view that the release of that information was appropriate, as well as the president of the United States. I respect their opinion, but I had to make the decision, holding the office that I now hold.

One, it’s damn difficult to talk about race when constantly being called a racist. In the last year and a half, the race card has been used so often that it no longer shocks people, it just pisses them off. The race card is almost always played by someone of color (see how PC I am?) and hurled against an Anglo, a person of little color, a white person. Using the race card is a tactic used by black people to throw white people off and put them on the defensive. Its use is supposed to play on “white peoples” guilt about slavery.
Two, the person (or persons) using this tactic, trying to bludgeon their object of hatred or derision, should consider that the very act of using the race card makes them racist. The constant use of the race card has become tiresome, tedious, and predictable. IMHO, using the race card is a racist tactic used by racists to gain a tactical advantage. Period.

Frankly, I’d like to see him keep his head down and keep working on his caseload. There are a fcukton of incompetently gathered cases against the Gitmo detainees to try to scrap together into a case that can be brought to a real court. There’s the trail leading from Cheney to child rape that needs to be documented and laid out. There’s a vast amount of stuff he should be doing rather than delivering rhetorical smackdowns, as much as I enjoy those.
I don’t want to hear anything from Holder until he’s got his homework assignments completed.

What context? “Sliced and diced” how? Everything I’ve ever seen from mediamatters shows the full context of any video or audio they quote, usually with an extra minute before and after the relevant portion. Then they give links to where you can get the full-length video from if you want any more.
If you’re going to make claims like that, you’ll need to point out exactly how that’s the case in this instance. It’s called analysis. Go look at the thing you’re complaining about and find the spots where your criticisms apply, if any.
There’s even another homework step after that: give us citations to the rest of the context you want us to see, as well as unedited video so that you can show how mediamatters was wrong.
There are two reasons you cannot do this: 1) mediamatters never chops up their references, and 2) you suck at logically argumentative posting.

I’m not even joking here. I think alot of them are really screwed up in the head for having to repress themselvs their whole lives. As an aside, I saw a video where the hate monger minute-men leader in San Diego, Jeff Schwick, is laughing all creepily whie in a bikini in a hot tub. Republicans are really weird.
