Gregg doesn’t want the signs because he is a partisan hack and a fool. He doesn’t want the President or the Democratic legislators who passed the stimulus to get any credit for any progress. He and his snarky colleagues were chirping about the effect Obama’s election on the stock market back in Jan/Feb. Now that we have seen 3 straight months of slow but steady growth, not one peep from any one of them. What they’ve done for years, the last 8 in particular, is show anyone who doesn’t have blinders on is that they are the party of spend, spend, spend. They never included the wars in their budgets and put the cost on tabs held by China and Japan. (Hint: Ever wonder why China suffers no consequences for shipping us their toxic products?) Yeah, and “no new taxes”, indeed. Guess that only applies to the rich. Continue the Bush tax cuts my butt!!

Gregg and his buddies just don’t get it. They don’t understand that we stopped listening to the admonition “pay no attention to the man behind the curtain” while they preach about “big government”. We’ve figured out that its what conservatives and neo-cons say while they ignore regulations or deregulate so that they can fill their pockets and the pockets of their supporters – with cash from everyday, hard working Americans. The day when they can stir the masses with buzz words and fear to get those who don’t look at the man behind the curtain to support policies and laws that are against their own best interests are coming to an end. We need the balance of the two functioning parties. Unless they want to go the way of the Whigs, they’d better start paying attention.

Although, considering the turbulent and rather uncertain times in which we now live…who knows? I’m sure that if you asked the people of 1949 whether much of what we see today could ever happen, they’d find it very hard to believe.

Gregg, it would appear, could stand to learn a thing or two from that great Roman statesman. Sixty years or so from now — provided that they’re still standing — I don’t imagine that very many of the students at Plymouth State University or the University of New Hampshire will remember anything about Judd Gregg apart from the fact that Gregg Hall and the Judd Gregg Meteorological Institute are named after him.

As for the signs at construction sites indicating it is a Recovery Project — when I first saw it, I thought what a good idea! People will see the stimulus money in action.
They don’t have Obama’s name on them – even if they did – so what?
Also, somebody has a job making those signs.

What have we got to show for the squandering of the surplus that Bush lost? What have we got to show for the war in Iraq?
We have a broken economy, and broken families mourning the dead.

Well, President Obama wanted a Republican for some reason, and this jackass was the best Republican he could find.

O/T: President Obana has given the cool and proper responses to Iran. Now, if he and we can just apply this same idea of allowing freedom to choose ones rulers to the American-occupied nations of Afghanistan and Iraq. We need to withdraw out armed forces and our mercenaries and let the Afghanis and Iraqis make their own decisions.

Duh! It is easy to do. All we do is repeat the lies of the wingnuts and it smears them. What a bunch of hypocritical dolts they have in the GOP. How did that free market work out for you wingnuts? Wall Street was bailed out by Bush and Paulson before Obama was elected, much less took office. Bush announced that he was not going to act the auto industry because he wanted to leave it to the new administration. The wingnuts were in power most of the past eight years and screwed up everything with free market, hands off, deregulated economics. Read a bood.
