True. That would be pure idiocy. Everyone who has any understanding of policy and environmental science knows that it will take more than just government action to solve the climate crisis. Companies and individuals will also need to be making better energy choices.

Look, cutting back on greenhouse gasses through fuel conservation and/or efficiency increase will not plunge the U.S. into the next ice age. But it will help us conserve fuel, cut back on atmospheric pollution in general, and allow us to stretch our resources a little further.
