I was born to and raised by conservative Republicans, so I know a few things about them.

Many if not most of them are “literalists” and completely incapable of comprehending irony, sarcasm, satire, etc. This explains why so many of them are “evangelical” and/or “fundamentalist” Christians who believe that “The Bible” is literally true and must be interpreted accordingly.

They have also been force-fed a diet of FEAR for so long that are generally over-the-top alarmists who will almost always take ANY report at face value before making ANY attempt to verify.

I was raised by a Democratic father and a Republican mother, and every four years there was alot of fun at my home. I remembered when it was Nixon/Kennedy, my mom laughed that Nixon would be a better President because he was a Vice President, and Kennedy was a Senator, well everyone knows who one that election..

Now back to Tom Ridge, I still would like to know what he had done in the State of Pennsylvania, and if he does not back down to Mr. Bouncy bounce Limbaugh, well hats off to him, since every Republican is deathy afraid of offending him.

The viewers of FOX news do not know the difference between parody and the real news, at FOX it is one and the same.
Can you imagine the shock if FOX did delivery the news fair and balanced?

Don’t you know that the Reich-wingers were born without the irony-satire gene? Remember Faux’s attempt to counter “The Daily Show” with that stupid “Half-hour Comedy Show”? I think it lasted less than a month and quietly disappeared. Faux Noise has no concept of satire. Buy they’re good at stupidity and lying.

I’d say Tom Ridge over Pudge Limpdiddler by a KO in the first, unless Mr. Ridge makes the mistake (shudder) of getting in front of one of Limpdiddler’s Orifices of Doom, in which case the ultrasonic bleating and great gust of putrid wind will turn Ridge into a gellid puddle.

Limpdick is just plain crazy. I know im not the only one here who visits MMFA, They allways show how he lies and makes up sht all the time. This fat pig misses the old days when the internet didnt play such an integral part in our society. I’m down for the 24/7 progressive cable channel. I’d get cable for that and watch television.

Newspapers all over the world published articles on the anti-oxidant properties of martinis as if it were science. The “study” came from the yearly issue of satire in a medical journal. I think it was the London based journal. The journalist who started it apparently failed to notice that the martinis were beneficial if “shaken, not stirred” and all the other James Bond references the article was riddled with. Nor did s/he notice the article about girls named Betty being more likely to have venereal disease.

I would wager that Fox new full well that they were dealing with satire. They’re evil that way.
