ThinkProgress recently bid farewell to our dear friend and colleague, Ali Frick. For nearly two years, Ali passionately devoted her energy to delivering consistently interesting, insightful, and high-quality posts for ThinkProgress. Around the office, she was always brimming with exuberance, driven in equal parts by her strong desire for progressive reform and her anger at right-wing distortions and lies. A look at some of her greatest hits:
Right-Wing Apoplectic Over Pixar’s WALL-E: ‘Malthusian Fear Mongering,’ ‘Fascistic Elements’ [Link]
REPORT: Why Bush’s ‘Enhanced Interrogation’ Program Failed [Link]
McCain Takes Bold Stance On Torture: ‘We Cannot Ever Torture Any American’ [Link]
Freshman Rep. Cao: ‘I Hope That The GOP Will Not Tolerate’ Extreme Anti-Immigrant Rhetoric [Link]
‘El Rushbo’ Endorses Himself For President: I Have ‘The Qualifications’ As Clinton’s ‘Real Co-President’ [Link]
Chris Matthews Stumps Right-Wing Radio Host: ‘Tell Me What Chamberlain Did?’ ‘I Don’t Know’ [Link]
O’Reilly creates a ninth day of Hanukkah. [Link]
G. Gordon Liddy On Sotomayor: ‘Let’s Hope That The Key Conferences Aren’t When She’s Menstruating’ [Link]
Rep. Culberson Offers Incoherent And Illogical Stance On Gay Marriage [Link]
Ali will be attending Yale Law School in the fall. We wish her the best of luck in the next chapter of her life. She’ll always be (the most spirited) part of our team.
All best wishes to a brilliant young woman.

July 2nd, 2009 at 12:16 pmBest of luck, Ali, and thank you for all you’ve done over the past few years! When you finish law school, if Bush/Cheney/Rove/Addington/Yu/Gonzales are still roaming free and no charges were ever sought, will you please go after them for us?
You will be missed!
PEACE
July 2nd, 2009 at 12:17 pmGood luck to you Ali. If it wasn’t for progressive sites like Think Progress, Crooks and Liars, I would probably go Bat Sh*t.
July 2nd, 2009 at 12:18 pmDamn by that list I know I’ll be among those missing her but wishing her every success
July 2nd, 2009 at 12:21 pmBest of luck to you, I think we’ve all enjoyed your work so much.
July 2nd, 2009 at 12:22 pmBest wishes, Ali!
July 2nd, 2009 at 12:22 pmBye-Bye Ali Frick.
– - THAT’S Ali? Well, I’d go all the way to Buenos Aires for her.
July 2nd, 2009 at 12:22 pmNo wonder Bill O’Reilly hates (is afraid of) TP: The women of TP are so intelligent and beautiful — and wouldn’t let BO touch them with a 10 foot falafel.
July 2nd, 2009 at 12:27 pmGood luck Ali, you’ll be missed.
Say, isn’t Yale Law on the road to the White House?

July 2nd, 2009 at 12:30 pmBest of luck Ali,
You’re the one thing that Republicans, conservatives, and right wing hate mongers fear the most. You’re an intelligent, talented, and articulate “Ambassador for Truth”.
July 2nd, 2009 at 12:30 pmThose were among my favorite posts. I particularly recall the Chris Matthews Chamberlain smackdown. Well done, Ali. This girl has a bright future ahead of her.
And forgive my Lookism, but she’s gorgeous, too.

Ugh. Yeah, I see what you mean. :D
July 2nd, 2009 at 12:43 pmWe can never have enough smart people — good for you, Ali.
July 2nd, 2009 at 12:45 pmIsn’t it curious? Smart people are always looking to improve themselves and learn even more — as compared to people who only think they are smart (as an example, I give you John Bolton on the next thread) and not only stop trying to improve themselves, but mock others who don’t agree with them.
July 2nd, 2009 at 12:48 pmGood luck in law school and best wishes in life. Thanks for the awesome posts.

Or even a 4 inch one.
July 2nd, 2009 at 12:58 pmTP’s loss is Yale’s gain – just make sure you put that law degree you’ll be earning to good use in the never ending battle for progressive causes and moving this country forward.
And who knows? By the time you pass the bar, maybe Bush and his fellow criminal cohorts will be ready for prosecution – with you doing the prosecuting!
That would be GREAT!
Good luck to you. Your family must be so proud.
July 2nd, 2009 at 1:02 pmAli,
Congratulations on being accepted to Yale. Knock-em-dead and good luck. Thank you for all the work you have done at TP, and I look forward to our future knowing there are people out there like you.
Cheers,

Good luck Ali, and thank you for your articulate and informative posts.
And duh-ammmmmmnnnn you are lovely.
July 2nd, 2009 at 1:26 pmHave fun and be safe.
Delightfully charming smile.
July 2nd, 2009 at 1:33 pmZooey can you replace Ms. Ali Frick?
Ms. Ali Frick will be waiting for that future SCOTUS appointment ;-)
So that’s the dissenter’s hope: that they are writing not for today but for tomorrow.

Congratulations, Ali. Thanks and best wishes.
July 2nd, 2009 at 2:24 pmGood luck at law school and thanks for your work on a tremendously important website.
It is unfortunate that law practicing is exclusive only to those who can find or borrow the funding to be “trained”, or for those who are naturally gifted enough to get it paid for. I hope that these existing circumstances weigh on your future decisions to avoid corruption and complicity; those options, of course, perpetuate the way mis- and underrepresented people of this earth are oppressed. It is good to see this beautiful young progressive rubbing elbows with the elite of this country, but in a way we should all e cautious of the way things rub off.
Thanks again
July 2nd, 2009 at 3:33 pmGood luck in future endeavors. Thank you for your hard work.
July 2nd, 2009 at 3:57 pmBye and thanks for your on-time threads. Good luck to you, my dear.
July 2nd, 2009 at 4:55 pmI agree with Doodle and Badmoodman. I sense a future presidency. And I’d travel to Tierra del Fuego.
July 2nd, 2009 at 8:43 pmgood posts!
bye bye!
July 3rd, 2009 at 12:05 amAll the very, very best, Ali!!
Now, get out there and GO GET ‘EM – I expect to see you nominated for the Supreme Court before I die. ;o)
