I would think that those here with an “alternative lifestyle” would be opposed to abortion. How else are they supposed to start a family. If it wasn’t for adoption all they would have is a chihuauas to raise as their kids.

–Well you seem to have a colorful way of describing something but I am not sure what. It can’t be those very rare late term abortions since that isn’t how that works so I am usnsure what procedure you mean. Doesn’t really matter as no what you describe whatever it is isn’t killing by virtue ofthe laws of the land. Is scratching living cells off one’s ass killing?

The “Democrats” know they don’t need any support from the Republicans and could pass single-payer, not-for-profit healthcare tomorrow if they wanted to. They could also pass that Don’t Ask Don’t Tell legislation that Obama claims he is waiting for.

They really want to help, but those bribes are just too sweet.

Obama is aware of what is in the bills. There are compromises on legislation that are necessary to get the bill passed. However, in this case, the Republicans have drawn the line at a public option which appears to be a fait accompli. It makes no sense for the Dems to water down the bill to suit the Republicans who are going to vote against it anyway. The Dems need to work out the bill among themselves and ram it through just like the Republicans did with legislation. It would be easier for the two Senators who want the abortion provision in to withdraw their objection and let the bill go. They can easily tell their constituents that the bill is what is needed even without the provision. It is annoying that these Senators are insisting that a bill be tailored to their specific conditions in order to receive the votes.

President Obama, needs to be aware of what the hell is in these bills that is put forth on his desk. Abortion is a personal choice and not the American Government choice, you see bumber stickers, sayin keep your roseries out of my ovaries.

I can not have anymore children, but if I would have been pregnant after my daughter was born, I would have had an abortion. We did not have that much money and I would not be able to raise a third child. Some people should think about that instead of thinking abortion as birth control. This is common sense.

And the same should go for healthcare (if you cannot afford it don’t get sick) education (if you can’t afford it stay dumb and in the service sector) nutrition (if you can’t afford it, eat ramen noodles and eggs) etc. etc.
As the disparity in wealth grows, more and more Americans will find themselves childless, should Dawn’s advice be law,and when the oligarchs and Obama have succeeded inprivatizing your Social Security (or as Zer-O put it “universal tax free savings accounts) and there is eventually no safety net then what happens to you in your old age?

To all here, I do love Children, but my belief is you have as many children as you can afford. If you can afford one, just have one, if you can’t afford any, than don’t have children, until you are finacially secured, and in this recession, no one can afford to have any abortion, so is the Government going to support these unwanted Babies?

If we continue to have children this Country will be over populated and we could go the way of China of One child per family, I actually don’t know if they still have that law, but many baby girls were adopted out of China, they wanted just boy babies, but I heard from someone, many years that they are stopping that, the boy/girl ratio is lopsided.

I actually know that alot of people here are alittle upset about the Republicans who are trying to slip no abortion into the Healthcare, what I heard tonight on MSNBC that the Taliban are using Children to be a suicide bombers. These right wingnuts should be up in arms, to me that is a form of child abuse! I just want some imput on this bit of news…
