Precisely. When Operation Rescue starts smearking judicial opponents whether or not they’re pro-choice or pro-life, they’re going to lose their legitimacy in the pro-life movement.

The only reason they’re opposing Sotomayor is because she was nominated by a Democrat. Which means that Operation Rescue is no longer about the pro-life movement, and is only using it as an excuse to advance the cause of the Republican party.

Making the whole situation even more ridiculous, Terry complains in the very same ad about Republicans abusing the pro-life movement, when that’s exactly what his ad does!

Most mainstream denominations have distance themselves from this garbage. The abortion issue is too sacred to be treated in this manner. This is not the reflection of the right to life movement, just an opportunist at work.

I wonder if anyone bothered to tell Randell Somomayer is Roman Catholic, and the left has not gone screaming crazy. I see a little hypocrisy, and from a moral man? Appears to be a normal state of affairs with the Religious Right.
