There are a few whom I believe are not corrupted such as Bernie Sanders, Kucinich, Ron Paul, and some others.

There is no doubt about this corrupting influence. Only the will and outrage of the people as demonstrated by Americans marching and demonstrating on the street can change it.

These partisan folks definitely need to stop the name calling. It’s easy enough to express your opposition to a position without name calling. Like Howard Dean said, “Even in the darkest days of the Bush/Cheney administration, I don’t think there was any reason to call George Bush a fascist.”

Yet in those same dark days, the republicans framed every debate as “democrats hate our troops.” I don’t remember you crying about that, though. Hypocrisy is a standard of the Right.

I’m not sure whether I ever addressed the “dems hate troops” issue or not, but, if it makes you feel better:

The vast majority of Dems do not hate our troops or the military in general. There are those on the far left who, in their hatred for all things military, have and do denigrate those who represent the military. There are also those who smear the military in general for the crimes of a few. But, Dems in general are very supportive of our troops.

Unfortunately, hypocrisy is all too common among the far left as well as the far right. Not that you could be expected to recognize it in your own kind, bud. ;)

how can teabaggers be “pro-life” when they’re pro-do-as-I-say-not-how-I-do retro/preemptive club…hypocrite + stupid= teabaggers. I’m pro-choice because I don’t want to be anything like the repug club. Get with it repugs or get the f out of the way, or else.

If teabaggers want to put on a show, I’ll watch from the sidelines and play rate the stupid. They know they aren’t going to see the Oval office for centuries, really it’s never HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Don’t racist idiots love hitler? Are they saying they don’t an African-American hitler because he’s Black? Could it be possible teabaggers are crying because President Obama took their hitler away? Are they saying hitler was about socialism, free love, jazz shows, and peace?

2. He has the right to classify a citizen an enemy combatant and imprison them indefinitely.

3. He has the power to use surveillance, search and seizure without the necessity of a warrant.

4. All of the presidential powers are plenary and not subject to review by the US courts and Congress.

These were the positions of Bush via John Woo. These opinions were ultimately withdrawn shortly before the transfer of power to Obama. These ridiculous legal arguments were the basis of the lawlessness of the Bush administration. Many of these so called powers have been challenged in the Patriot Act and the president has lost.
