Alberto Gonzales lands a teaching position at Texas Tech.

Life has been tough for Alberto Gonzales since he stepped down as President Bush’s attorney general. He was, for a while, “unable to interest law firms in adding his name to their roster.” Gonzales blamed his bad luck on the “rough economy.” Last June he was finally able to get hired “to provide assistance to a special master on a patent case.” The Austin-American Statesman now reports that Gonzales has also “lined up a fall-semester teaching spot at Texas Tech University.” He will be working in the political science department on a “’special topics’ course on contemporary issues in the executive branch.” (HT: Wonkette)

Too bad McCain didn’t win because I’m sure Princess Sarah would have wanted him to serve in that Department of Law.

I wonder if Georgie’s daddy (ie the Carlyle Group) is having to subsidize Gonzo’s salary?

Things are expected to get tougher for Gonzales when he ‘can’t recall’ which University to go to for his new job.

If justice was served, Gonzales would be behind bars for the rest of his life, then he would never have to remember anything ever again.

    it case we can’t recall here’s a video…

He cannot get a job at law firms because of the torture issue. No firm wants to have him on the payroll because of the possibility of a criminal action. Gonzalez would be the kiss of death for any law firm.

Being recognized as one part of the worst administration in US history is a “SUCCESS” to you ?

    Yeah , I suppose it would be , jackass………..

  31. Chuck Feney says:

The teaching post is just a temporary gig until the Bush library is complete and Gonzo takes up the job of greeter and maintenance manager.

The other good thing for Al, is that this teaching assignment won’t interfere with his paper route.

  32. Mr. Sonia Herecomestheangst says:

Come on. Gonzales has to be checking out the scene up in Lubbuck, just in case Agent Dub has to relocate to a more rural but sporty area in Texas.

  33. Hoodathunktick says:

Maybe they hired him as part of the handicapped program. Terminal loss of memory is so sad in such a young person. Surprising he can remember enough to teach unless he is teaching how to forget. Republican wannabes would sign up for that course.

  53. Mike Hunt says:

Gitmo Al will fit right in at this cow college. He’ll be preaching to the Repignican choir there. Luckily he wont be at a major university where he could have influence on real future leaders of the nation. At Texas Tech his influence will probably be restricted to the future chairman of the Throckmorton County Board of Supervisors.

Weird that I read yesterday the current President had gotten more done in the first five months than any administration in the previous fifty years. I guess those homeschooled young republicans do not deal with reality any better than thos old white boy failures of the Raygun, Daddy Bush, and Baby Bush regimes. Get lost loser. Your party will never be in the majority in your life time. Get use to being on the bench loser.

  61. Hoodathunktick says:

    Let look at Bush’s failures:

He screwed up the US economy.
He screwed up the world economy.
He got almost everyone in the US to hate him.
He got everyone else in the world to hate him.

That is what we call the grand slam of failures. No other president before Bush hit a grand slam.
