as to your next paragraph tell that to YOUR side. No one here is asking for a pious scold to tell us how to post. You can do what YOU want and you can be absolutly certain I will do what I think best. NOTHING in the world you have to say about it. I have read too many conservatives that never have anything to say about the rude insults from THEIR side and cant wait to attack us for our because they preferred it when liberals were just taking it without returning serve. I have decided that is a bad tactic. If YOU are reasonable I will be anyone tossing mud in my direction will be recieving a return serve thats just the way it is. A Debs quote I like better

Disagreeing with a belief is one thing, but taking it all personal is just juvenile, and doesn’t contribute to the debate – it actually detracts from it.

But. If you had not voted him down, we would have had concrete proof that at least one Republican was a proven liar. ;)

As for Sotomayor and free speech – certainly she has every right to call anyone anything. She could even tell me that she thinks white people should be exported to Sweden. I would still respect her right to free speech. However, the people interviewing her for her job are representative of the beliefs of all of us. So they are our proxies – and thus hold her accountable for things she says.

I support the trolls right to banter, although I don’t read them, equally with the people who taunt and flame those trolls (again I don’t read them).

I think you are right that he is saying the trolls arent responsible citizens but also that he DOESNT believe in what he is calling censorship by TP to control the trolls.

I may be wrong but I took it as an acknowledgment that the trolls are not responsible citizens.

This is a private site. They have topics they want discussed. I dont believe in allowing trolls to derail the discussion or to harass people with rude or off topic rants or inane posting just to annoy those atually trying to talk about the issue at hand. That certainly DOES happen and there isnt any question that as a private site they have every right to do what they think to foster a better class of discussion.

The statement is not offensive or thoughtless or racist.

It’s just more fake outrage rhetoric the GOP has fabricated.
