Chavez will do or say anything to stay in power. He is like a fly at an outdoor picnic. Just a little annoying but nothing to ruin your day over. I think Chavez needs to worry much more about his safety than Obama.

whoever wrote this headline needs be fired for either of two reasons. 1. For knowingly misleading what he said, or 2. For being too stupid to understand what he said. It´s also embarassing to see everyone jump on it like that.
I for one like chavez. If the state owned media loathe him then i am all for him. Nobody really knows what kind of person he is. CNN is basically owned by the CIA, it´s just a imperial owned propaganda machine. whatever you hear or read about him in our media is a lie basically.
I know he was one of the first people to call out the bush administration and american imperialism before it was popular. He supports using the resources of his own country for the people and not multinational corporations. He basically supports the poor people and not the rich oligarchy.
He´s saying the same people who killed jfk, bobby kennedy, john lennon,martin luther king, osho, tupac shakur etc. etc. etc. Anyone who exposes the truth not only risks being killed but more than likely will be killed. what´s wrong with the truth.

he was pointing out that the same capital-military interests whose power over the popular democratic electorate was threatened by JFK may be under threat as a result of BO’s willingness to speak out against the US history of foreign and domestic oppression in the name of free-market fundamentalism and exceptionalist military authoritarianism.

did Podesta hire francis fukuyama to write this headline? not sure why TP would speciously suggest this statement indicates that chavez opposes obama.

To the sap who agrees that Obama is a “poor ignoramus” here’s some facts for you.

Chavez graduated near the bottom at the Venezuelan Academy of Military Sciences with a degree in Military “Arts” and “Science”.

Obama graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law.

If either of the two is an ignoramus it’s not Obama.

You are right about Honduras and Iran. And Obama truly may not want to intervene in other countries’ affairs, but the rest of the world does not know this. They may be going by what has happened throughout history.
