Boortz compares President Obama to a child molester.

Today, on the one-year anniversary of the collapse of Lehman Brothers, President Obama will speak on Wall Street to “try to breathe new life into efforts to overhaul the financial regulatory system.” Hate radio host Neal Boortz used his Twitter account this morning to compare the President’s visit to Wall Street to “sending a child molester to speak to a kindergarten class“:

boortzsctw

Spewing hate is the norm for the Georgia-based radio host. In the past, he has said that health reform is going to “kill people,” compared those on unemployment insurance to “human parasitic garbage,” and referred to Katrina refugees as “debris” who were chased out by the hurricane.

No, Boortz, you are a truth molester.

I don’t know about that, but I’m sure my party sent Mark Foley to speak to a kindergarten class.

  14. laprofesora says:

Is there no one with decency in the RepubliSCUM party to speak up and condemn this hatefulness? How do they tolerate having their party hijacked by these nutjobs? Yes, they can scream “You lie” to the President, but not to Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity,Boortz, etc. PATHETIC. A party of old white men with withered up balls.

  15. Jackie says:

Now that comment would be fit for Mark Foley, Rush Limbaugh and even the former supervisor of Homeland Security. We still have many more officials who are closet child molesters using their title to select kids but Neal might just have leaked out his own problem.

  19. Zimzone says:

Bush & Hank Paulson bailed out Wall St.

    That’s a FACT.

Remember Hank ‘chicken little’ Paulson a year ago, running around saying ‘we need the money by Friday’?

Of course, facts have a liberal bias, so Boortz can’t use facts.

Boortz, when all your Party has left is lies, all you have left of your Party IS A LIE.

  20. P.D. says:

How can these guys get away with this? Heaven forbid you said anything against Bush, you were a pariah. I think these guys are getting away with this because Obama is black. The defiance from Republicans, the vitriol at the ‘Town Halls’ the threats against his personal safety. I thought that electing the first Black President would push us into the future. Now it seems this minority (Thank’s to MSM for making them look like ‘Average Americans’ which gives them a dubious legitimacy) is calling all the shots. Depressing.

  24. ralph the wonder llama says:

Neal Boortz used his Twitter account this morning to compare the President’s visit to Wall Street to “sending a child molester to speak to a kindergarten class“:

Yeah, because Wall Street is so innocent and helpless, right?

Is that the way the thinking goes?

Someone ought to clue in the Twit: a sound analogy consists of more than simply juxtaposing a pair of images; the analogy needs to make sense, too.

  25. Purple State says:

I’m sorry, but even the lewdest funnyman at the raunchiest celebrity roast wouldn’t be dropping that line.

    Probably because it wasn’t funny.

  26. The Republic of Stupidity says:

One HAS to wonder… who do people like Boortz think they’re speaking for?

Perhaps that ever-shrinking band of “The truly psychotic and bed-rock crazy” will continue to listen and believe any sort of disgusting tripe they spew, but saner people HAVE to be repulsed by this sort of vicious nonsense.

In the end, that’s all that will be left of the GOOP – thugs, whack jobs, and gun-toting loonies…

  27. What the GOP REALLY means ... says:

You’re all aware of my party’s hatred for welfare recipients and Katrina victims, right?

Well, we would knock the titans on welfare but we already spent all of our vitriol on the little guy.

  31. P.D. says:

Classy, no? These guys are the bottom feeders of civility. And what will happen to him? A big nothing. He will be a hero to the racist Neanderthals who will no doubt scream ‘First Amendment’ if he loses his job. But if you happen to be at a ‘Town Hall’ these same parasites would scream you down and block YOU from exercising your right to free speech.

  32. What the GOP REALLY means ... says:

Boortz has a solid history caring about children, giving them words of encouragement.

During the broadcast, Boortz repeatedly aired clips of Jordan Welch, a Lula youth, describing the falling ice.
“Satellite things up in the sky, I thought one of them done fell down in the roof,” said Welch with an accent distinctly Appalachian. On his blog, GSC’s own Dr. Preston Coleman called Welch’s reaction “smart and creative,” while Boortz questioned the boy’s intelligence and predicted Welch would grow up to change tires like his father.

  33. rsalier says:

It sound like a person who is trying to undermine the government. That is sedition. He along with Beck, Hannity and the others should be brought before a Grand Jury on the charges of Sedition and attempt to over through the government. Lets see how far “free speech” really does go.

  35. Shayne says:

By the end of the week there will be a troll here saying he heard somewhere the President is a molester. That’s why we need these topics so we figure out where the insanity is coming from.

  36. chiroptera toasterhead says:

That may be the most idiotic simile ever. What the crap does it mean?

Is Boortz saying that child molesters are trying to “regulate” small children? Is that what the C-streeters are calling it these days?

Or that the President, surrounded by all that Wall Street temptation, may succumb to the urge to put some money in an unregulated derivative? Is that what it means?

Or is it a community organizer reference – maybe Obama will convince the stockbrokers to organize for better pay and working conditions?

    I just don’t get it.

  37. dasm says:

Get this sick hate inciter off the air. Each day we see how the right wing/GOP/Repubs have no respect for the President or their country. Obama was correct- wearing a flag pin, which these right-wingers love to screech about, does NOT make you a patriot- it’s your words & actions. These lying right wingers like Boortz, Wilson, Beck, Palin, DeMint & all the rest, are NOT patriots.

  38. katy says:

… isn’t he a little late with this?

the president spoke to school children last week… we heard it then…

  39. Perry logan says:

  46. misscoleopteramolly says:

Well, let’s be fair. Boortz wasn’t really suggesting President Obama is a child molester, he was making one of those comparative statements of A is to B as Y is to Z. He wasn’t saying that A is the same as Y, but he hopes you will infer that.

So, in that spirit, let me just say that Neal Boortz on the airwaves is like sh!t in a ventilation system.

Simple, one guy corrected himself (”end up” replaced with “get us stuck”) and the other guy firmly insulted the future in America from his perch. And by god, American needs a future away from the slime in our party.

BTW, I’m a member of the GOP and even I could figure this out: Use the pretty little formatting buttons or ” ” symbols. Don’t slop random sentences together.

  56. YoungSloshee says:

Boortz is a classic example of the dark power of the internet. When he has a forum by which he doesn’t have to respond to challengers of his hate speech, he cuts loose with the “debris” and “child molester” talk.

However, I saw him on MSNBC a couple weeks ago, and when he is forced to respond to questions in a live and face-to-face situation, he sounds about a million percent more moderate.

Sometimes I wish there was a way to test one’s competency and prevent them from using the Internet if they think like Boortz. Ah, but Big Brother, I am not.

Even though she was arrested for drug possession while in a court mandated stay at a drug rehabilitation center, she still managed to avoid jail time.
I also know about the son who stalked an ex-girlfriend and vandalized her parents property while attempting to break into their home. Daddy used his influence to keep his son out of jail.

It sounded to me like he just said that if you are too dumb to be a success you may end up at the bottom of the barrel and held against your will fighting as a soldier in Iraq.

Since the Republicans had gutted the G.I. Bill decades ago, everyone knows that military service is right up there with McDonald’s on the career track, and even worse when a Republican is president and starting unneccessary wars to enrich their friends. It’s well known that the military was having difficulty getting enough recruits over the last decade even to fight the historically modest wars we are now engaged in; that demonstrates that it’s been viewed as a crap career for at least the last decade. Fortunately the Democrats restored the G.I. Bill, and hopefully as long as a Democrat is in the White House, military service will be once again viewed as a viable career option by more of America.

  140. EugeneDebs says:

    baker56 says:

    WRONG

    http://www.vexen.co.uk/USA/foreign_aid.html

“[Americans] are regularly told by politicians and the media, that America is the world’s most generous nation. This is one of the most conventional pieces of ‘knowledgeable ignorance’. According to the OECD, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, the US gave between $6 and $15 billion in foreign aid in the period between 1995 and 1999. In absolute terms, Japan gives more than the US, between $9 and $15 billion in the same period. But the absolute figures are less significant than the proportion of gross domestic product (GDP, or national wealth) that a country devotes to foreign aid. On that league table, the US ranks twenty-second of the 22 most developed nations. As former President Jimmy Carter commented: ‘We are the stingiest nation of all’. Denmark is top of the table, giving 1.01% of GDP, while the US manages just 0.1%. The United Nations has long established the target of 0.7% GDP for development assistance, although only four countries actually achieve this: Denmark, 1.01%; Norway, 0.91%; the Netherlands, 0.79%; Sweden, 0.7%. Apart from being the least generous nation, the US is highly selective in who receives its aid. Over 50% of its aid budget is spent on middle-income countries in the Middle East, with Israel being the recipient of the largest single share.”

There is also the fact that much of our foriegn aid is aid to the military or a way of TAKING from American taxpayers and GIVING to American industries as we give money to a country with the proviso that they buy US goods and equipment with it. Another public cost private profit game. Our PEOPLE are generous our government not so much

If you’re complaining about the progressive income tax, Here’s a graph of the top marginal tax rates since 1913. Note the years it was highest. How did our economy do then? How did our economy do when it dropped?

The “flatter” the tax structure, the more income inequality we get. The more income inequality there is, the worse the economy performs. That’s just facts. That’s data. There’s what history shows.

Besides, we’re not even proposing going to the level it was at during America’s economic “golden age,” just back to the way it was nine years ago (39.6%).

    .

    baker56 says:

And by “incentive to excell” I mean profit. That word hated by the left, yet profit isn’t tantamount to greed.

I don’t have a problem with profit or even self-interest. For the vast majority of things, the profit motive is aligned along with the public interest; however, that’s not always true for all cases. When the profit motive is aligned against the public interest, then something needs to be changed so that people aren’t rewarded for harming America. Your objection to such reforms as are occasionally necessary places you at odds with the interests of the country you hypocritically claim to care for.

…like when I worked for a union many years ago, and being the aggressive lad that I was (and still am) I was told to slow down, I’ll make everyone else look bad.

Your anecdote does nothing to disprove the stastical fact that when unions were strongest (1945 – 1965) the American economy was also at its strongest, and the average earner could maintain a family and own a home on a single income. All of the economic problems have occurred since the unions were weakened, and the causal links are clear. Real wages have been in a slow decline for the last 25 years.

What you fail to realize is that we’re not Communists. You’re the extremist here. We only want a reasonable balance between public and private enterprise, as appropriate. Other developed nations around the world demonstrate that such a rational approach works great for the people who live there. Both you free-marketeers and commies want everything to be only one way or the other, which is why you both fail.

so teamwork is bad, according to mr. 56.

you’ve got to look beyond your own fingertips to understand these things Mr. 56….

without that Union, you’d likely have been working for less, with no benefits, no matter how hard you presses your nose to the grindstone.

you, and your ideological brethren seem to think that, left to their own devices, the guys who write their own paychecks and sign yours are going to voluntarily take less for themselves and give you more.

there may be, and have been, a handful of exceptions to the rule, but generally and reliably speaking, businesses will always seek to keep their “cost of labor” (which really means “the price of your life”) as low as possible – and how skilled or ambitious you may be as an individual has nothing at all to do with it.

the quality of life for working people in Ameerica has declined steadily, in lock-step with rollbacks of labor organizations and government regulatory agencies, without which the lives of millions and millions of Americans would be dramatically more difficult and austere.

famly values people should realize that a big part of the quality-of-family-life equation is how much work outside the home has to get done, and how much money it takes to maintain a secure and positive family life experience. increasing hours, declining real wages, and rising costs for everything do not make for a very family-friendly economy at all, and there’s no good reason for that.

  186. ElBruce says:

    baker56 says:

Franklin Raines et al were rewarded for the sub-prime mess at Fannie Mae (to the tune of 90MIL for Frankie alone) that screwed America.

Fannie Mae was not the cause of the mortgage collapse; that’s blatant scapegoating. The Credit Default Swap market was, as part of a deregulated free-for-all being perpetrated by people who thought that there was no end to the amount of money that could be made on mortgages. Remember all of those sub-prime deals being offered? Remember “Flip This House?” The actual causes of the collapse, while somewhat complex, are all well documented at this point.

The fact that you would rather blame peripheral scapegoats rather than address the real problem pretty much demonstrates your real commitment to helping America.

You’ve chosen as your handle one of the greatest minds of progressive politics America has ever seen; Debs would’ve cut these schmucks down to size with pointed rhetoric. Also, dude was a pacifist.

  197. Chickenbone Bill says:

Here’s a little background on Boortz!
He lied from June of 1967 till Sept of 2005 to his radio audience’s, his employers,in his on-line bio’s, or anyone who listened to him that he had in fact graduated from Texas A&M University! After being outed in Sept ‘05, he had to change his bio’s from “graduated in 1967″ to “finished up at!” He blamed the 38 year lie “on his staff!”
In order to help carry out his lie about graduating, on May 26,1967 he went ahead an bought and received a Texas A&M “Class of 1967″ ring! However get this, he either quit, or dropped out for school for good on June 3,1967 never having to this day having graduated from college! He had a picture of him and then Ga. Gov Lester Maddox sitting on a plane with his class ring being proudly worn on his right hand! Must have lied to the Gov. about graduating from college so he could get his so-called “Speech-Writers job. He’s never put forward any speechs he wrote for the Gov, being such the vain man he is, one would think he would have published them by now, but he hasn’t!
Boortz is also a Class A-1 Card-Carrying Yellow-Spine Chickenhawk, even though he talks real bad about fighting wars and the military! He had claimed that he was 4-F during the Vietnam War years having either bad eyes, asthma or both, depending on who he was talking to at the time!
When Boortz enrolled at Texas A&M in the summer of ‘64 the draft board gave him a deferment for being in ROTC. Three semesters later (Dec 65) he dropped out of college, never informing the Selective Service of his change in status! Re-enrolling later, he still carried his ROTC deferment that wasn’t legally his, till Feb of 1968! How could he carry a ROTC deferment when had dropped out of school and then never went back to school after June of ‘67, you’ll have to ask him.Why would he get in touch with the Selective Service after quiting school albiet 9 months after the fact? He claimed he had a daughter that was born in Feb of ‘68. No proof of his daughters birthday has ever surfaced. He returned to Atlanta, where his parents lived, in July of 1967 but he has never spoken of returning with a wife, a pregnant one at that!
So there you have it folks, a guy that would lie about graduating from college, lie about have a 4-F deferment during the Vietnam War, used the ROTC and a supposedly birth of a daughter to keep his arse from having to serve in the military cause he was to good, why wouldn’t you expect Boortz to make comments like he does!
64 years old, bald, a bulging waist-line, with rumours still floating about being gay, he has to make comments like he does otherwise he’d be just another lying, white, redneck Republican from the south, who’s time has passed him by!!

  198. Virtual Pebble says:

“Hate radio host Neal Boortz used his Twitter account this morning to compare the President’s visit to Wall Street to “sending a child molester to speak to a kindergarten class“:” All of which is unlike Neal Boortz, who probably knows what it’s like to be a real child molester looking for a real invitation to a real kindergarten class from his own personal experience in seeking such invitations. The arse should give it a break.

The Wall Streeters are big boys; they can and do take care of themselves, sometimes at everyone else’s expense. Boortz should be reminded of that fact.

  199. EugeneDebs says:

The right was EMBOLDENED by the decade or so liberals DIDNT fight back the right got worse and worse until they are the way they are now. A bully has to be stood up to. You want to be Mohandis Ghandi fine. That is a way to go. I have chosen a different path and think it a necessary one. Remember this. Galileo AND Giordani Bruno were teaching the same things, basically. When challenged Galileo recanted what all learned people of his day knew was true, had known for centuries. He got arrested and did more valuable research. Bruno told the Church to stuff it and was burned at the stake. I am just saying the world need BOTH Galileos AND Giordani Brunos to keep progress going. Just think of me as Bruno

  200. EugeneDebs says:

WOW that looks dense. I gotta start using more paragraphs.

  201. baker56 says:

ElBruce says; #226. Check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yga7TlsA-1A. The repubs tried for more more regulation of Fannie and Freddie, but nooo, we wanted EVERYONE to own a house. Credit default swaps, as f-upped as they were, would have performed if the assets (mortgages) being traded had performed (read: if the mortgages were being paid on time)If you wanted more regs, you were called a RACIST, so the limp-wristed repubs backed down. The rest is a miserable history.

  202. baker56 says:

The CRA (Community Reinvestment Act) was a good intentioned act to bring more mortgage money to lesser neighborhoods. But when people couldn’t qualify, standards had to be lowered after groups like ACORN pressured (threatened) lenders. Even Dear Leader represented ACORN vs. Citibank back in ‘94.http://iusbvision.wordpress.com/2008/09/30/obama-sued-citibank-under-cra-to-force-it-to-make-bad-loans/. Now they blame everyone else but themselves, like children often do

  203. Fred says:

baker, you lied again. YOu said you had to go and here you still are lying some more.

You’re getting a reputation that reflects you lack of understanding of what truth is.

  204. EugeneDebs says:

    baker56 says:

BUNK. Republicans HAD majorities and control of the house for 12 years and didnt pass any regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. In 2007 when Dems took the house they DID pass regulation of them. Even GOP Congressman Oxley said to the Financial times that Bush administration rigidity was the reason regulatory legislation could not be passed. Just another rightwing talking point. Do you EVER think for yourself?

no, you lie. It’s been documented.

  210. baker56 says:

EugeneDeb, Repubs had control for six years, and as as I said, they backed down when Barney Frank and Maxie Waters started yelling racism.

  211. EugeneDebs says:

    baker56 says:

You are a liar. That is a flat out lie. CRA was first passed in the 70s. If IT were a problem then why did it take more than thirty years for it to CAUSE those problems.

The next lie is a RACIST lie the 94 case Obama was part of was a REDLINING case which had nothing to do with making bad loans. The origin of this blatant stupidity is a rightwing email.

    Read it and weep LIAR

  216. baker56 says:

Hey EugeneDeb: Iknow CRA was from Jimmy Carter. It was put on steroids under Clinton and Cuomo. You really bring alot to the conversation (if there is any) when you start holding your ears and yell LIAL…LIAR..LIAR

  217. EugeneDebs says:

    baker56 says:

I am not holding my ears which would be irrelevant since I am reading not hearing you. I am calling you a liar for a good reason. You are LYING. If you dont like being called a liar I have a simple solution STOP LYING. Snopes shows you are a LIAR.

It’s a fascinating strategy our friend baker56 employs:

toss out a lie about the president, or about the housing crisis (or both), ignore all facts and links produced that refute it, then claim that no one has refuted his lie.

Most effective, as long as one can maintain his ignorance. And I have a feeling this one can maintain his ignorance a looooooong time.

  235. pbeeg says:

Let me just speak to this point–again–
If the government had ben forcing banks to make bad loans to folks who couldn’t afford it, they might grumble. They might point out that their bottom line was suffering. They might lobby for the law to be repealed.
But should they be SURPRISED when these loans fail? Surprised to the point that they go under?

Banks make bad loans all the time. A bankers only job–ONLY job–i to assess risk. Whether it’s CRI or the boss’s idiot son, bad loans are dealt with, their failure anticipated. They make up for it by being more cautious elsewhere.
But was Lehman Brothers whining about the suckiness of their portfolios?
THey were running around making record profits and drawing astronomical salaries and bonuses.

And if you’re forced to write a bad loan, and then bundle it with a bunch of other bad loans and sell it to other financial institutions ad AAA rated investments, you’re guilty of criminal fraud and deserve to go to jail no matter what the government made you do.

this is not just a lie, it’s a stupid lie: even someone completely ignorant of the actual circumstances but with a high school understanding of the bnking industry could see its stupidity.

  236. Reggie says:

They had to ban about 70 trolls at LGF this weekend.
It seems the boys from Troll Central didn’t like the fact that there were several threads up where readers could post the nastiest signs found online from the tea-bagger march.

i guess i just don’t see the comparisons, the only comparison i would make toward Berry is that of a wily old fox that keeps getting into a hen house and you just can’t figure out how he does it, but he knows how to get by your traps, and each morning you get up only to find a sprung trap and half your chickens dead

  245. EugeneDebs says:

    TooSTUPID2Bus

What kind of training did you need to become so stupid and brainwashed? Why do you delight in being an ignorant punkass troll? What is it about being worthless and parading your ignorance around that appeals to you? Is it that you KNOW you are too stupid to think for yourself and you actually think the idiocy Rush programs you with is clever? Do you have any idea how stupid and pathetic you are? Why dont you just STFU until you grow a brain?

    EugeneDebs says:

    ——————————————————————————–

    Boortz says:

Obama is an ignorant piece of filth. Why hasnt he killed himself yet?

Somehow I don’t think the reaction from the ThinkProgress fanclub would be all into accepting this as a fine form of communication – and NOT because it’s a “threat to the President”. They’d just be all over its complete inexcusability, no matter WHO the [Democratic] target is.

And some people here don’t consider this hypocritical. Whatever.

I tell you what though why dont you be nice to them and explain rationally why you wish they would stop being such rude nasty trolls. I am sure they will immediatly see the error of their ways and STOP insulting us and trolling the site. If you believe that see me for this bridge I have for sale. YOU are one of the problems liberals have had for years. Sack up. If YOU dont have the stomach to fight back fine. Just get out of the way and let those of us who do take the fight to them. Aw, come on, EugeneD, you know some of us like to preach at the trolls or heap sweet reason reason on them before or after you give them a dopeslap or three.

Aside from that, most of the trolls are young ignorant pussies who have zero knowledge or understanding of certain matters.

For instance, they think that the Cold War was all about the Sainted Ronnie “winning” it, and don’t realize that it was 1)35 years of Cold War Liberalism before Ray-Gun ever got to national office that set the USSR up for it’s ultimate collapse and 2) the final collapse happened AFTER Ronnie Baby left office and 3) that Ray-Gun was a wimp who sold out his liberal friends just to suck up corporate sponsorship. We could go on about other troll and wingut hero personalities but a lot of it is just the ame kind of story.

They have no idea, no comprehension, of how many years the liberal and progressive movements have been in the trenches fighting ignorance and stupidy. They think the world was invented yesterday, well, a little over eight years ago before Osama’s hit on NYC, the golden age of Shrub, ya know? Back when the cons and neocons and their troll servants had it all.

Besides, EugeneD, I only know one word from Kumbaya, and that’s Kumbaya (mini-snark); frankly, I prefer R&B, bluegrass and other stuff. As things stand now,Kumbaya is kind of the muzak or elevator music of folk music, ya know? Something the trolls make sport of, among other cynical shit. I cannot say whether I first heard the Pete Seeger, Weavers or Baez version; probably a cover of Seeger’s or the Weaver’s because I started hanging around at coffeehouses before Baez’s 62 version and I’m pretty sure I first heard it in ‘60 or ‘61.
