Last night on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show, former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney propagated a fearmongering claim that a public health insurance option would bring death to the country:
ROMNEY: The right way to have proceeded was to let each state create their own plan, to learn from the laboratories that the states were meant to be, and then adopted the very best in the federal system. But that hasn’t been done. And as a result, you’re seeing Democrats fighting Democrats. And the idea that we’d have — the government get into a — if you will, the public or government option is absolutely death, I think, across this country.
Watch it:
Romney’s hysterical scare tactic has sadly become the norm in the health care debate. Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin issued the absurd statement that the House health reform bill would create “death panels” for the nation’s elderly — a claim conservatives advanced with glee despite the fact that it had been thoroughly debunked. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) similarly claimed that reform would “pull the plug on grandma.”
During last night’s segment, Romney touted Massachusetts’ health care system that he helped enact as governor (despite downplaying the plan during his 2008 presidential bid). Romney boasted that the Massachusetts plan is “on budget,” but what he omitted is the fact that when approving the plan, he “deferr[ed] until another day any serious effort to control the state’s runaway health costs” and now “the plan will not be sustainable over the next 5 to 10 years if they do not take significant steps to arrest the growth of health spending.”
The public option of course won’t cause “death” across the country, as Romney claimed, but rather, it would be a key component of bringing down the cost of health care.
Romney’s words are in conflict with what I just read in the local newspaper which posted a national article indicating that more people are now in favor of the public option. The tide has reversed and more Americans want a public option.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:04 pmYes, Mitt, because death is exactly what happened when the UK developed their own nationalized service. And Canada. And Germany. And France. And Japan. And Sweden. And Cuba. And…do I really need to continue?
October 15th, 2009 at 3:05 pmThe GOP is not just the party of “No.” They’re also the party of “We’re all gonna die if we do anything the Dems want.”
October 15th, 2009 at 3:05 pmRomney – a typical Republican and Fox fan that doesn’t check his facts BEFORE he opens his mouth.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:05 pmOnly the Repubs can equate providing good health insurance with death. Lying hyperbole is the name of their game.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:06 pmBetter access to, and more affordable, health care for
allmost Americans will kill us all!!!!Aaaarrrrggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
October 15th, 2009 at 3:06 pmNote to Romney:
October 15th, 2009 at 3:06 pmYou’re a loser.
I could give a rats ass what you think.
tony and lido
zxbe – we are all going to eventually die anyway. The Republicans just want us to die sooner than later.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:06 pmAMERICANS GETS WHAT THEY DESERVE, NOT WHAT THEY DEMAND.
200 years of bad kharma baby.
Capitalism + un-regulated greed = KARL MARX LAUGHING FROM HIS GRAVE.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:07 pmHow did we get here?
How are we the only modern country in the world without significant government involvement in health care for the majority of its people?
How are these guys actually convincing people that the Government will kill you and not private health insurance?
Why do I feel like I am taking crazy pills?
(Note: My crazy pills were not covered by my current health insurance pills because I was taking them when I switched insurance, so it was a pre-existing condition. I had to pay for these crazy pills out of pocket and it cost me nine times what it would have cost me in Canada or Mexico.)
October 15th, 2009 at 3:08 pmI’m still waiting to hear from one of these wingnut mouthpieces how having an affordable public insurance option available will cause more premature deaths than having NO affordable option available — the scenario we have now for about 15% of our people.
Whenever Mitt (or anybody else) says stuff like this, I assume they think I have “stupid” tattooed on my forehead.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:10 pm“Romney: Public Option ‘Is Absolutely Death, I Think, Across This Country’”
Sigh… Here is another GOP sheep following the herd: public option is absolutely death, the end is near, yadda, yadda, yadda.. Pass the popcorn please…
October 15th, 2009 at 3:10 pmActually, Romney prefers torture to death.
A lower-life human there may not be.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:10 pmRomney: Public Option ‘Is Absolutely Death, I Think, Across This Country’
– - Uh huh, and cigarette taxes are going to crater the economy. I remember that one.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:12 pmNormally, I’d ask why the host didn’t follow up with “Why do you say that?,” but it’s Mannatee.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:12 pmRomney said,
October 15th, 2009 at 3:13 pmRomney is correct. The public option or a government option is death, for the Republican Party.
Romney, “Public option equals death across the country”
Thank God the Repubs have a candidate not given to over-statement or fear-mongering.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:13 pmROMNEY: “And the idea that we’d have — the government get into a — if you will, the public or government option is absolutely death to the “death panels” that the insurance companies have run for yeras, I think, across this country.”
There, I’ve corrected Romney’s words to make them 100% completely true. The truth is something that right-whiners have no real association with, so Romney needs all the assistance that he can get in that arena.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:14 pmOk Mitt ole buddy….so tell me why YOU have a public plan?
October 15th, 2009 at 3:14 pmAre you better than us? Maybe your more American than us?
The truth is you are a corporate WH@RE to the health insurance lobby.
Romney is right but left out a word…Public option would be an absolute death to the GNOP.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:15 pmThe ‘Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain’ is getting stronger every day.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:16 pmHey Mitt,
What do you call it when private insurers decide to drop you and or “recommend” end of life?
Death panels!!!
What an health insurance company tool!!!!
October 15th, 2009 at 3:16 pmRomney is such a jackass… this is posturing in his run up for the republican nomination, he needs the 20% nutballs if he wants to win the nod.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:19 pmThis fearmongering on the party of Republicans is going to motivate me, and a lot of other Americans, to vote Democratic in the 2010 midterm elections.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:20 pmThree out of four Doctors recommend the Public Option.
(So, according to Romney, three out of four Doctors are for Death, while Rep. Shadegg is calling three out of four Doctors Stalin Era Communists who want to setup health gulags? Are these Republicans for real?)
Remember all the commercials that started “Three out of four doctors recommend…” or “Four our of five Dentists recommend…”? Well, three out of four Doctors DO recommend the Public Option, so why haven’t some of these 75 percent of doctors run a commercial stating their support for the Public Option?
We trust Doctors when they make a medical diagnosis and prescribe, often-lifesaving, treatment and medication, so why are 75 percent of U.S. Doctors suddenly NOT trusted when they diagnose that our current healthcare system is ill, injured, needs repairing, needs reform? Why?
Think of the current U.S. healthcare system as a body, a body with a diseased heart -caused by health insurance and pharmaceutical company greed- and with both legs cutoff below the knees -representing the missing uninsured/underinsured/preexisting condition citizens.
And three out of four American Doctors are prescribing a Public Option heart transplant, replacing the diseased for-profit heart with a Public Option heart that will at least give American citizens a choice and give some legs to our healthcare system.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:22 pmsomeone ought to remind nit-mitt it was under his watch in massachussetts that they got a public option and last time i checked, masschussetts still has a higher life expectancy than say…alabama.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:22 pmSince when is Romney an ‘expert’ on health care??
Since when is Hannity an ‘expert’ on health care??
Seems to me the ‘EXPERTS’ were the American voters when they voted by quite a large majority to follow Mr. Obama’s expertise . .
I’m sure we’d all like the same health care OPTIONs afforded to both Messrs. Romney and Hannity . .
October 15th, 2009 at 3:22 pmRomney clearly meant death for the insurance and lobbying industries. Their deaths are the only deaths that matter to him.
As for me, I’d be happy to say a eulogy at their funerals. Maybe perform a little dance, too.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:22 pmDidn’t romney lose in the primary….against mccain? huh, wonder why he thinks anyone cares what he says.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:22 pmLevi the Oracle says:
Romney is correct. The public option or a government option is death, for the Republican Party.
just read this after I posted mine. Must e a common thought.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:23 pmMy question to Romney would be if military [government] medical care is absolutely death?
October 15th, 2009 at 3:23 pmROMNEY: The right way to have proceeded was to let each state create their own plan,…
Then the worst states (poorest, least educated, interestingly most ‘conservative’) would have the least healthy people. Then people would be crossing state lines to get better care. If the states are the labs, from there the federal level would be so contaminated with corruption it would be worse than the shty system we have now.

Romney = Nit Wit
Oh yes…Nit Mit, do tell about the scandal of the SLC Olympics?

http://www.nytimes.com/1999/01/12/us/salt-lake-city-mayor-quits-as-olympic-scandal-grows.html
And, then there is that pesty health system in MA…that is good for the state but bad for America.
Seems to be your good old GOPeer mantra…If It’s Bad for America, We Want It!
October 15th, 2009 at 3:28 pmMitt Romney is right. A public plan will cause death. It will cause the death of hyper inflated profits by the insurance industry, and we couldn’t have that, now could we!
October 15th, 2009 at 3:28 pmThis comment has been voted down. Click to read.
oooo, another concerned conservative who had no problem with running up trillions in war and bailout deficits complaining taking care of Americans is evil!
Jed, you shouldn’t wear your a$$ on your sleeve like that.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:30 pmJed M. Merrill says:
Your help to help America… we don’t need it. We don’t want it!
60 votes for cloture… 51 to pass!
October 15th, 2009 at 3:31 pmI invited ol’ Mitt over to the ranch for a beer onced. Still waiting for an answer.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:31 pmenjoy irrelevancy! take a flashlight.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:31 pmRomney is the best shape-shifter in the world of politics today. He believes in nothing beyond the belief that he should be president.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:32 pm“We don’t get our freedoms from Democrats/Republicans/Presidents! We are empowered and our rights are endowed by our Creator!” – 9/12 March
about 9 hours ago from web – ConsRepublicans
Yeeee-haaaawww!
October 15th, 2009 at 3:34 pmBut no thoughts on why what the republicans did to the economy was unconscionable? Odd.
You don’t have enough insight to understand how to fix what you so freely crapped on. You can’t see that part of fixing the economy is fixing it where companies can’t steal from citizens. Sad.
Accept responsibility for what you have done. Leave fixing it to people who actually intend to do just that.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:35 pmNo offense, Jed @ 36, but there is no “us” between me and you. Therefore there should be no “we” in your statement. It’s fine if you don’t want or need public health care, but I do.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:36 pmWe didn’t want war for profit or tax breaks for the rich and deregulation that damn near destroyed our economy either.
Your failure has given us the opportunity to repair the damage you caused. Want to explain why your ideas are any better now than when they failed in the past?
October 15th, 2009 at 3:37 pmJed M. Merrill says:

Public health care: We don’t need it. We don’t want it!
October 15th, 2009 at 3:28 pm
Who is this “we” , you jackass ?
You and the mouse in your pocket , tool ?
October 15th, 2009 at 3:38 pmHello Jed, are you new here?
Btw, I clicked on the link attached to your ‘name’ -
October 15th, 2009 at 3:41 pmCons=Republicans? So True!
sorry OT, but did anyone read Andrew Sullivan’s October article in The Atlantic regarding Dumbya and torture?
The best quote:
October 15th, 2009 at 3:41 pm
For Profit Health Insurance Corporations.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:43 pmWe don’t need em. We don’t want em!
Republicans, We don’t need em, We don’t want em.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:45 pmGosh, if the public option was “death” as Romney claims then all of the other western democracies would be dead today since they all have federal programs and have for decades. I guess expecting a little common sense from a Republican is just too much to ask. Way too much.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:46 pmBasically you already have public health care Jed, your just paying for a junket junkie middleman to play with your pool
October 15th, 2009 at 3:46 pmAmazing how casually they throw those words out there. ‘Oh yeah, Obamacare means death to all Americans, that’s right.”
What a tool. Let Romney keep talking like this, and we’ll see how amenable Americans are to his run for Presidency.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:46 pmConsider the following:
- many employees probably keep a job they hate because the employer offers health insurance
- employees who hate their job are likely to have higher rates of absenteeism, lower productivity, and higher rates of accidents
- a public option for insurance might encourage unhappy employees to leave their hated job and take another or start their own business
- a reverse COBRA could be developed along with the public option whereby a person on the public insurance plan could remain on this plan up to 18 months after getting employed by a business with a private health insurance benefit, benefitting both the employee and the employer
This doesn’t sound like “death” to me.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:47 pmCons-serving fear and lies.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:49 pmMuch as a Romney presidency would’ve been for the country.
Jeez. At least Grassley and Palin were specific about how the public option is a nefarious scheme to kill the elderly by denying them care and forcing them to take pills that they can’t reimport from Canada using their puny Medicare Part D.
Romney just says the public option is death.
Does he mean to say..
The Public Option does not entail death.
The Public Option IS death.
Or is he talking out of his ass in a lame attempt to score some cheap fearmongering points before reform passes.
My guess is the latter.
October 15th, 2009 at 3:51 pm48. DNFP,
No, but Sullivan is brilliant. Even the notion of “Jihad” has been so thoroughly corrupted by fundamentalists that it’s lost as much meaning as “spreading democracy”
October 15th, 2009 at 3:55 pmThank Heavens we didn’t elect this jackass President!
October 15th, 2009 at 3:55 pmJed M. Merrill says:
Public health care: We don’t need it. We don’t want it!
But in your mind we do need 45,000 deaths a year because of lack of it, right?
Those against a public option are:
* those profiteering from health insurance
* those on SS enjoying their medicare and selfishly think a public option will compromise their care
* the kool aid drugged fox idiots
And to the selfish who could care less of those dying just so they can keep what they have… (I am related to some of those)…:
October 15th, 2009 at 3:57 pmUse your selfish side and begin fearing diseases spread by the uninsured. It may affect you.
The Republics are TRAITORS, and Bush is still their MESSIAH.
REAL Americans want National Health Care, with a PUBLIC OPTION.
Not Jed, of course…
October 15th, 2009 at 3:57 pmThe sheer, insane, contrariness is maddening. I know that the GOoPers aren’t the brightest bulbs on the tree but what would lead them to think any sane person is buying the “health care reform equals death” mantra?
And, for the “new” stupid troll; we do need it and we do want it.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:00 pmThe extreme language the right has been using will eventually lose its meaning one would think.
I mean, how many times can you hear things like, “it’s absolutely death!” before you get de-sensitized? Where can they go from there in their efforts to terrorize the country?
October 15th, 2009 at 4:02 pmWho is this Romney nitwit & why do I care what he says?
October 15th, 2009 at 4:04 pmNote to Romney ~
October 15th, 2009 at 4:05 pmDon’t try to frighten us with your sorcerer’s ways, Lord Romney.
Your sad devotion to that ancient religion Reaganomics has not helped you conjure up a suitable health care plan, or given you clairvoyance enough to find your ass with both hands behind you…
When will we learn?
Social Security=death of our country.
Medicare=end of the US
Civil Rights=no more US.
These people have not been even close to right on any issue that deals with the benefit of US society. They are Bloody Bill Kristol.
The main thing they fear is that if the US becomes a society with a social conscience they won’t be able to rape, pillage and plunder us with impunity.
Just do HR 676 and be done with it.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:08 pmThe Dems are gearing up their assault on the insurance company greed — anti-trust legislation may come soon.
The lobbyists are going to spend millions because they are now fearful that the public option may actually come to pass; that means the repugs will go into high gear also as they advocate for their friends in the industry.
We must keep up our communications with our representatives and senators — also, when I get calls from the DCCC and the DNC, I have been filling their ears with my opinions on the useless conservadems. Any Democrat who would believe that they will pick up any republican support by drawing a line in the sand on the public option is dreaming — it’ll never happen.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:11 pmIf those small state senators are concerned that a public option utilizing a fee schedule based on Medicare is too low for them, then they have to change the Medicare fee schedule!
President Obama recently shifted authority for approving sales to China
China? Oh, right, that’s the country where Sarah Palin went to give a speech where she blamed all the world’s problems on America.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:12 pmiRi, you were more effective with the whole religious end of the world thing.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:12 pm34. Soapbox,
I had forgotten about the scandals of the SLC Olympics. A lot of egg on a lot of faces.
Of course, no one will ever know, but I wonder if that was seen as a negative for having the Olympics in Chicago ?
October 15th, 2009 at 4:13 pmSomeone needs to get Mitt’s attention and ask him why there hasn’t been an outcry in every other country against their health care system. This threat of death sentences, death panels, etc. is based upon nothing — it is merely fearmongering at its worst.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:13 pm“The Republics are TRAITORS, and Bush is still their MESSIAH”
Don’t fret kid, we’ll all be dead or worse soon and you won’t have to worry about Bush any more…..
Great, sonny, I can’t wait for Bush to DROP DEAD.
TREASONOUS little punk that he is.
YOUR MESSIAH, Bush the TRAITOR!!!
REAL Americans know he is.
Not YOU, of course…
October 15th, 2009 at 4:14 pmOf course, Mittens is stinking rich and has the magic underwear so health care won’t ever be a personal issue for him.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:14 pmiRi says:
You work for the Washington Times, iRi?
You think that Gary Locke is gonna sell secrets to Red China, huh?
Mybe it’s better that the decision be delegated to experts… doesn’t seem like Bush had a clear vision of what was ’sensitive’ either…
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1571/is_27_18/ai_90114133/
October 15th, 2009 at 4:14 pmOne more thing — Romney ignores the number of people in America who DO die because they have no health care and can’t afford to see a doctor.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:15 pmWe already have death sentences in America.
BTW, iRi, is that some sort of weird acronym for irritating?
Just asking.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:15 pmThis news just in…..
As a result of the public option, giant mutant beasts have been observed prowling the midwest. A picture of a Giant Gila monster crushing cars may be found at http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052846/
In the Southwest, 20 ft killer ants are devouring any cities in their path.
BONUS QUESTION: Which is cheezier, the 1950s movies about radioactive oversized animals or the fearmongering of the public option ?
October 15th, 2009 at 4:15 pmiRi says:
“REAL Americans want National Health Care, with a PUBLIC OPTION”
Uh, Real Americans already have health care, it’s the illegals and just a few of the Obama voters who want the free stuff. Polls don’t lie, right?
Actually, your MESSIAH Bush was the LIAR.
TREASONOUS little PUKEY PUNK of a TRAITOR.
REAL Americans know this.
Not YOU, of course…
October 15th, 2009 at 4:15 pmWe can ignore the iRi troll. Those who don’t believe there is a future have no right participating in discussion of future plans. Next!
October 15th, 2009 at 4:16 pmthis is perhaps a progressively impure thought…but -
I am outraged at some of my relatives, mentally clear, now going into their 80’s who have lived their life – a good life who fear a public option will reduce the quality of their medicare.
The ones without health insurance coverage are not the poor, elderly or disabled as they have medicare or medicaid, but the ones paying taxes so others can enjoy SS and medicare.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:18 pmSeriously. Once one says “we’ll all be dead soon”? One has divorced oneself from honest debate.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:18 pmGOP SOP- Never let facts get in the way of a good scare sound bite.

What are you so worried about ? I thought all you end-timers were anxious as hell to meet your “God” …….
October 15th, 2009 at 4:20 pmA minor correction, had enough. Those on Medicare, like myself, still pay a small monthly premium.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:22 pmWhen conducted with integrity and attention to proper methodology, polls can provide reliable insights into the attitudes of large numbers of people.
On the other hand, trolls DO lie, almost exclusively.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:33 pmiRi says:
So you do work for the Washington Times?
October 15th, 2009 at 4:37 pmOh, I see the iri is yet another ‘independent’. The independents sound like they’re going to sweep the next elections with so many supporters!
Will the independents save us from the black helicopters?
October 15th, 2009 at 4:40 pmThey are all moving us toward a global government run for the multinationals and banks and by the multinationals and banks. National health care will only benefit big business.
Ut oh. The fence around the loco weed patch is down again.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:41 pmsaid the man who made his millions by laying people off. All of them could use a public option now.
The r.’s have real crazies in their party i.e. Palin and Bachman, pawns like Steele and Jindal, but the absolute SLEAZIEST is Romney.
I would’t mind at all if he got the nomination. This man deserves to be torn apart.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:42 pmIn any case you don’t really think that the Red Chinese won’t pull the trigger once they gain technical superiority?
The Chinese aren’t as stupid as you, Washington Times scribe…
October 15th, 2009 at 4:43 pmIn any case you don’t really think that the Red Chinese won’t pull the trigger once they gain technical superiority?
Some one owes you mega bucks so the best idea is just to shoot them and put them out of your misery?
October 15th, 2009 at 4:45 pmThey don’t like you, not in the least and they would like to see us all dead
Paranoia strikes deep.
iRi, quit projecting your self loathing on others. Nobody gives a rat’s posterior if you live or die except you.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:47 pmiRi, during your Messiah Reagan’s administration the British government was busy producing public service announcements telling the public how to dispose of corpses in their fallout shelters.
If Obama has brought us to the brink of nuclear holocuast, as you claim, why are they not doing that again?
October 15th, 2009 at 4:48 pmAsk your congressmen if he or she would like to trade their healthcare for what they are proposing we should have. You already know what they’ve said….no way Jose.
Great!
I agree, Congressional health care for all!
Boy, and I thought you guys were against sensible plans.
Thanks, iRi!
October 15th, 2009 at 4:49 pmSo, iRi, by your logic, the more big business, multinationals that can be cut out of the picture, the better for everyone?
October 15th, 2009 at 4:50 pmThere aren’t enough movie theaters in the world to employ all the Righty projectionists.
Grumble, grumble, everyone wants to kill me. I know cuz I want to kill everyone.
October 15th, 2009 at 4:52 pmObama takes himself very seriously and can’t handle jokes or criticism.
Welcome to Fantasy Island. iRi, refer back to post 102
October 15th, 2009 at 5:06 pmWillard Romney reminds me of a used car salesman (not “pre owned”). I wouldn’t even trust him to buy a used car let alone take any advise on health care from this opportunist, flip flopping, chicken hawk cowardly liar. By the way…..he loves to talk of his patriotism and support for wars but has he or any of his multiple sons (seven I believe)ever served to protect this country. No!…Maybe willard should be a guest host for fox news, since being a chickenhawk warmonger is a prerequisite.
October 15th, 2009 at 5:16 pmEnjoy your health youngsters while you have it. You will not have the same medical options that your parents have. Sorry, not you.
Yeah. We’ll have BETTER care for ALL Americans.
Like other Westernized countries do.
And Iraq, thanks to he USA.
REAL Americans know this.
Of course, not YOU.
October 15th, 2009 at 5:17 pmiRi says:
“Welcome to Fantasy Island. iRi, refer back to post 102?
Id rather you refer me back to an Obama joke made on national TV. Even SNL doesn’t dare, and yes I saw that last lame attempt at Obama humor. It’s not happening. Why not? Is Obama that perfect?
No, but he has to clean up the MESS made by your MESSIAH
the TREASONOUS George W. Bush.
Warmongering, bullying PUNK, as well as the EVIL Cheney.
5000 US soliders and 1 million Iraqis dead for their LIES.
WAR CRIMINALS.
There are some things I don’t like about Obama, such as not prosecuting the TRAITORS Bush and Cheney.
Pat Tillman dies due to “friendly fire” and Bush refuses to release the details, citing “executive privilege”?
TREASON!
Contrary to the TREASONOUS teabaggers, etc., Obama has done NOTHING against the US Constitution.
It was DESTROYED by Bush and Cheney, however, and REAL Americans will NOT let you SUPPORTERS of their TREASON wish it away.
REAL Americans KNOW this.
Of course, not YOU and the OTHER treason-supporters.
October 15th, 2009 at 5:28 pmIt must be awful to live in such abject terror of the whole effing World. To Believe dark forces are behind every little event. Even growing up with a fallout shelter in the back yard I’ve never been able to summon such fear.
October 15th, 2009 at 5:36 pmOnly the fringe left still harbours hopes for a so-called “Public Option”. Evan Bayh may have a moderate voting record, but Mary Landrieu does not. Democrats cannot even get their own on board because the idea of “free healthcare” is ludicrous. Ed Schultz can turn as purple as he wants, but it aint going to fly.
October 15th, 2009 at 5:59 pmFinal bill WILL pass with a Public Option.
REAL Americans will win,
and the teabagger supporters of their MESSIAH, the TREASONOUS Geotge W. Bush, will LOSE.
unamerikkkan slime that they are…

You brainwashed moron. Are these ignorant talking points REALLY all you have? Dont you get embarassed letting bloviating screechmonkeys do all your thinking for you? YOU dont know what happens in other countries MOST of which show up HIGHER on the quality list than the US, which is 37th, and pay LESS. My GOD you are stupid
October 15th, 2009 at 8:49 pmIrI the pathetic troll,
According to your pitifully pathetic world, if people like Ian Pearl exceed a certain amount of healthcare insurance cost should just simply die off.
Now lets put in Pearls shoes for a moment to see how you feel:
Legally barred from discriminating against individuals who submit large claims, the New York-based insurer simply canceled lines of coverage altogether in entire states to avoid paying high-cost claims like Mr. IrI’s. In an e-mail, one Guardian Life Insurance Co. executive called high-cost patients such as Mr. IrI “dogs” that the company could “get rid of.”
What goes around comes around IrI.
Tell us IrI troll, how would you feel?
Awaiting your reply.

Dear Romney,
I bleed every time I have a bowel movement. This has been going on for 6-7 years now. I’ve developed lumps in my left upper arm that burn and itch all day long. They’ve been there for about two-three months now. I just spent 5 thousand dollars on three root canals in a four month time period because of NOT being able to afford dental insurance.
IF I were to have the same insurance you have, my 21K yearly income would be a quarter eaten up. But because I am a single male, age 45, I do not qualify for assistance.
WHY MUST I SUFFER FOR YOU TO BE RIGHT?

p.s.
Dear Mitt,
PRAY TO YOUR god FOR ME!
Thanks

October 16th, 2009 at 2:00 amOn the contrary, Mr. Romney: a public option would save lives across this country.” Since over 40,000 Americans die each year for lack of insurance, getting them on insurance would fix this problem.
Actually, if you think about it the Republican plan to do nothing is condemning these people to death.
