In an interview with CBS News radio yesterday, former President George H.W. Bush called assailed the tone of our national discourse. “I don’t like it. The cables (TV) have a lot to do with it,” he said, adding that MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann were partly responsible:
The Republican elder statesman said, “It’s not just the right.” He complained, “there are plenty of people on the left.”
While he said he does not believe in personal name-calling, he singled out MSNBC personalities Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow calling them “sick puppies.”
“The way they treat my son and anyone who’s opposed to their point of view is just horrible,” Mr. Bush said.
Last night, Maddow invited Olbermann, who was out sick, to call in and discuss Bush’s statements on her show. “I think that I can speak on your behalf here and say that we’re very grateful for the former president’s concern about our health,” Olbermann joked. He then noted the irony behind Bush’s attack. “I mean he’s the father of the process that took us to the place we are now. He is the man who employed Roger Ailes. He and Roger Ailes are the men who ran the Willie Horton ad against Mike Dukakis.” Watch it:
“The cables have a lot to do with it,” he said, adding an onion to his belt, as was the style at the time.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:17 pmFcuk him and his evil spawn. May they both experience a fraction of the suffering they caused before they kick the bucket.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:18 pmOnce again Repubs blast people who actually tell the truth on the air, while giving a pass to the most dishonest group of people on the air- Fox “news”. Honesty is just too darned annoying to the GOP.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:22 pmThe Shrub’s actually are quite adept at identifying and raising “sick puppies.”
FCUK OFF AND DIE, TRAITOROUS SCUM-FAMILY OF SATAN.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:23 pmWELL…
Mr. Bush…I am very disappointed. I thought that maybe, just maybe, YOU had gotten over “stuff” and had moved on to the better good.
BUT…guess you have not.
I now have to go back and look at you with suspicion once again.

October 17th, 2009 at 12:31 pmG H W Botch is pissed because his wife looks like George Washington and his son is the worst phucking president in history right in front of his own sorry scum sucking a$$.

Oh. Don’t forget Neil the Savings and Loan robber and Jeb the corrupt dumb a$$ from FL.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:33 pmWhile he said he does not believe in personal name-calling, he singled out MSNBC personalities Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow calling them “sick puppies.”
Republicans, being unreflective by nature, frequently fall prey to unintended irony.
it’s really the only thing they’re good for.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:36 pmElderbush should watch it, he’s sweating little black beads of crude oil.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:37 pmFor a group that uses character assassination as its sole political technique, Republicans are surprisingly thin-skinned.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:42 pmlet’s see if we can match up pundit-for-pundit, shall we?
Bildo – Keith
Beck – Rachel
Okay, we’re out of Lefties, and we’ve still got Hannity, Malkin, Ingraham, Dick Morris and Cavuto just on Faux News. Not to mention Rush, Weiner Savage, Gibson, Coulter, Cunningham, Buchanan…
need I go on?
So much for GHWB’s false equivalency.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:47 pmTalk about sick puppies. One of his became president and destroyed the whole country.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:49 pmGHW Bush employed Lee Atwater, who was the mentor for Karl Rove. GHW Bush ran horrible, personal attack ads against his opponents. LIke all repugniscum, however, he can dish it out but he can’t take it.
Anyone else noticed that poppy seems to have a little trouble keeping focused, and his interviews are a little rambling. He may be in the early stages of dementia.
I expect him to be defensive of his failure of a son, but better he should keep criticisms of others to a minimum: glass houses, you know.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:50 pm“cables” “internets” — there may be a dyslexic gene running through the family pool — poppy made a lot of speaking errors in public life — however, the worst of all the family genes came together in the offspring, dumbya.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:53 pmAt least poppy didn’t nearly take down the whole country singlehandedly.
This brought to mind my favorite passage from the Harry Potter books. In Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Dumbledore visits the Dursleys, much to the consternation of Uncle Vernon, who begins:

ginslinger, no it shouldn’t.
but thanks for trying.
October 17th, 2009 at 12:59 pmThere is a strange lack of introspection which sees every criticism as a whine.
October 17th, 2009 at 1:01 pmI notice that the doddering old whiner let Lebron slide. Chickenshit old wimp.
October 17th, 2009 at 1:01 pmShut the f uck up, you stupid old fool.
No, I will not give you any respect for being a former president. You have brought destruction to this country through yourself and your spawn.
You believe in hell, so I hope you rot there forever.

October 17th, 2009 at 1:04 pmI’ll bet $1 the troll couldn’t bring himself to watch the video.
October 17th, 2009 at 1:07 pmThe Bush Family are nothing short of a bunch of crooked. lying bastards…the money they have stolen from the people over the years…has bought them some status, respectability and credulity, or so they think….they aren’t called the Bush Crime Family for nothing…H.W. and Roger Ails invented lies and nasty innuendos…the difference between H.W., Rachel and Keith..Rachel and Keith tell the truth and back it up with actual video footage, interview’s and facts….H.W. tells lies and backs it up with more lies and other liars….
October 17th, 2009 at 1:08 pmI saw this segment and Bush omits specifically naming any news organization on the right. He should have name Fox News, their commentators, Rush Limbaugh, and other conservative radio people. Of course, he did not name these people on the right because he is afraid he and Jr. will be attacked by them.
October 17th, 2009 at 1:08 pmI’m disappointed. George HW Bush was respectable after his term and has done some good work with Clinton after his presidency. To say something like this is not genuine, as I feel the left-wing media has not been as nasty as the right-wing media.
October 17th, 2009 at 1:10 pmGHW your war criminal son deserves no special treatment. The fall of empire america starts with a four letter word …BUSH
October 17th, 2009 at 1:14 pmMr. Wanker
If you had left that useless sorry carcass of your son to make a name by himself, you would have made a greater service to humanity.
For fark sakes. Gramps Prescott was involved in dealings with the nazis. You, wanker, personally supervised Manuel Noriega just to have him knocked off. Then propped up the drug addicted and alcoholic failure, your son, to destroy the repuglican party and a large part of the USA.
Even with your lovers, Cheney, Dumbsfelt and Rove, junior managed to destroy YOUR own dynasty.
He didn’t even have the testes to give you a MALE first born to carry the curse.

Pardoned Cuban TERRORIST Orlando Bosch, who is STILL in Miami.

October 17th, 2009 at 1:23 pmGHW BUSH and his (George Washington Look Alike) wife have alot of room to talk. Poor little Twajie is a bottom and he lives for the abuse he receives at Think Progress.
October 17th, 2009 at 1:43 pmjohnny dol1ar, it doesn’t take male heirs to carry a curse – witness the Cheney girls.
HW’s comment sounded like it came from Atwater/Rove/Ailes themselves. Don’t mention the names of any rightwing lying pundits (for fear of angering them and their loony base), but do mention the two liberal TV pundits who have the best shows, who don’t spread lies or conspiracy theories, and see if you can whip up a little fringe hatred.
HW, you’re a fraud and a coward.
October 17th, 2009 at 1:58 pmOne might presume that this is because everyone knows who the culprits on the right are.
But it’s much more likely that the former President is happy to smear those on the Left and simply imply that there are others on the Right.
October 17th, 2009 at 2:06 pmH.W. and President Obama appeared jointly to support volunteerism on the 20th anniversary of the founding of “1,000 Points of Light”. This fact seems to have been lost on the likes of FoxSnooze, BeckyBoy, Limpballs and Little Seanie Vanity. For them, President Obama’s emphasis upon and campaign to increase volunteer service is suspicious, “big-brotherish” and downright Marxist.
That’s the real irony in this whole soap opera called “opinion journalism”.
October 17th, 2009 at 2:06 pm#41 is an old man wishing his children well. Too bad his memory doesn’t include all the dirty “sick puppies” he allowed to flourish. Alies, Rove, Rumsfeld and that is just the first few that comes to mind. Rove, technically was #43’s pick but does it matter? #41 in his fading memory won’t remember anything bad(truthful) about his son.
October 17th, 2009 at 2:07 pmOh please pappy bush with your ignorant comment. Keith, Rachel and msnbnc are helping the poor and the sick. What have you and your f0ucked up family done to help the US?
Your rough looking wife thought the Katrina victims were better off in the dome around dead bodies than in their own homes.
You and your sorry family and your club of tarded repugs are the sick puppies.
Go to hell old fart. You begged President Obama to speak at your sorry library knowing full well President Obama digs Keith and Rachel.

Hypocrisy much? LOL! George H Bush was the source of the “willie horton” ads and begin this politics of incivility. And he whines about his “baby” getting some of his own medicine! You “conservatives” sure are a bunch of thin skinned whiny little brats…
October 17th, 2009 at 2:16 pmralph the wonder llama says:
But it’s much more likely that the former President is happy to smear those on the Left and simply imply that there are others on the Right.
His phony statesmanship is not going to salvage Jr.’s place in history. Bush Sr. is going to pave the road for Jeb Bush so that people will forget how bad Jr.’s presidency botched domestic and foreign policy. Fortunately, the Republican party is tearing itself apart and Jeb will have to go to the far right to get the nomination. That will defeat him in the general election.
October 17th, 2009 at 2:17 pmralph the wonder llama says:
But it’s much more likely that the former President is happy to smear those on the Left and simply imply that there are others on the Right.
That’s because they have to find a rational excuse for their behavior and their side. The father of the willie horton ad can no more take responsibility for this, than he can for raising that alcoholic loser of a son that was the worst president this country ever saw. GHB is the king of justifying his own “personal”, “family” and “party” failures.
October 17th, 2009 at 2:25 pmSick puppies? That’s the GOP:
Why reflect when you can project!
October 17th, 2009 at 2:27 pmHmmm? I wonder if former President George H. W. Bush has the courage to be invited onto Rachel Maddow’s program and receive the same sort of interview he granted to make this smear? I don’t think so, which states precisely the type of “scuttle in the shadows” vermin he is.
I can only anticipate watching Rachel offer the invitation day in and day out for the next several years with the catch line “And that’s been (fill in the number of days) since we’ve invited former President Bush to speak with me about his claims. Our offer still stands.” Bush the Elder has set himself up for this and richly deserves the ridicule.
October 17th, 2009 at 2:29 pmI can’t believe this doddering bag of senility and colostomy remnants actually has the gall to say anything about “sick puppies” after his son started TWO wars that killed 4,000+ American troops, over 1 million Iraqis and Afghanis, and left 15,000 Americans seriously disabled, not to mention creating 3-4 million refugees, internal and external, from Iraq. The number of Iraqi women and girls who have been forced to turn to prostitution to support their families, the families torn apart, the dead children, the brain drain as anyone with any money to do so has fled Iraq and left the nation divided and torn — may you roast a long long time in hell, Puppy. May your marshmallows be your only provender, may they all be stale, and may your toasting forks be forever too short.
What scum.
October 17th, 2009 at 2:34 pmginslinger says:
Stalking implies a surreptitious following and ambushing of a subject, this looks like straight forward calling out of a lie to me.
So like when O’Reilly’s producer “stalked” and “ambushed” Amanda? Yeah, right… Looks like a straightforward calling out of your lie to me. ;)

Considering those quotes were out in the internet well before her post, it sounds like you are admitting you pulled that accusation of of your big butt.
October 17th, 2009 at 2:38 pmSo ginslinger is another Eric Odom “can’t laid because I look like a farm animal” cluster f*** of beta male ugly trolls… No wonder they hate “women” so much. Can’t blame them considering how ugly they are…
October 17th, 2009 at 2:39 pmginslinger says:

I’d ask how copying and pasting an apology she made for getting something wrong is “calling out a lie”, but you’d just shriek some more about her “azz”.
Not that raving incoherently about a woman’s buttocks is the way a “stalker” would behave, of course.

What Irks the Right about Rachel Maddow
Former President George H. Bush recently made a reasoned plea for civility towards President Obama. At the same time he saw fit to attack Rachel Maddow and Keith Olbermann as “sick puppies.” The contradiction of calling for civility and then demonstrating incivility was apparently lost on the former President- who at one time helped bring men, such as the later repentant, Lee Atwater into the political mainstream. The reason why Rachel Maddow irks the right is simple- she reports the truth and the truth threatens entrenched power whose strength rests on deception.
Glenn Beck preaches hatred and violence. Rachel Maddow is angered and saddened by words and actions that preach violence and that poison the political debate. She fears what the implication of this violence is for political discourse in America.
In this context, the words of Lee Atwater bare repeating:
“My illness helped me to see that what was missing in society is what was missing in me: a little heart, a lot of brotherhood. The ’80s were about acquiring — acquiring wealth, power, prestige. I know. I acquired more wealth, power, and prestige than most. But you can acquire all you want and still feel empty. What power wouldn’t I trade for a little more time with my family? What price wouldn’t I pay for an evening with friends? It took a deadly illness to put me eye to eye with that truth, but it is a truth that the country, caught up in its ruthless ambitions and moral decay, can learn on my dime. I don’t know who will lead us through the ’90s, but they must be made to speak to this spiritual vacuum at the heart of American society, this tumor of the soul.”
October 17th, 2009 at 2:47 pmYou have to remember that he is a member of the upper class and can’t be bothered with peons. Like his son, the dear old boy leaves the fine thinking up to others. He expects us to be gentile, while he and his cohorts continue to trickle down on us.
October 17th, 2009 at 2:47 pmMr Duke voting negatively???
October 17th, 2009 at 2:52 pmbeing outclassed really brings out the petulant child inside in the average righty.
about time for them to go whining to the refs about something or other, i’m sure….
October 17th, 2009 at 3:03 pmrove probably believes himself superior to the late mr. atwater, chiefly because he’s been able to block the meaning of atwater’s death bed confessional out of his mind and heart.
all rove is really doing, however, is feeding that tumor of the soul in order to make money, and doing so using the 6 old dog-eared index cards he stole from atwater’s file-a-fax so long ago.
October 17th, 2009 at 3:08 pmGreat comment LJG100.
October 17th, 2009 at 3:24 pm“The only question is whether we depict Willie Horton with a knife in his hand or without it.”
October 17th, 2009 at 3:27 pm– Roger Ailes, Bush campaign media consultant (current President of Fox “News”)
LJG100, great comment. Straight at you Mr. Duke, Tracy (whatever you number is today), Fox News, kwsventures, his truth is marching on, et al. Are you listening?
October 17th, 2009 at 3:31 pmAny of you commentors from Texas? Because I have heard some weird shit about the Bush family from Texans.
October 17th, 2009 at 3:36 pmThese stuck up Bushes think that everyone in the news and media should bow to them. War criminal idiots …if it were for me I would have them lined up in death row. That’s what they deserve!
October 17th, 2009 at 3:36 pmGHWB is probably more culpable for the problems with this country than his son. Remember he was IN Dallas when JFK was shot and worked with every Republican after as well. In much the way Cheney controlled W daddy no doubt controlled the actor long before the Alzheimers kicked in. Reagan was controllable as the outsider just the way W was. And recently GHW was talking about how Neil would be the best President of the three. He is a dangerous man.
October 17th, 2009 at 3:38 pmGeorge H.W. Bush is from Massachusetts. He moved his family to Texas after the war and got into the oil business. He became a millionaire by forty. His family still vacations in Kennebunkport, Maine.
October 17th, 2009 at 3:43 pmComing from the father of a war criminal, who himself is the father of smear, it’s a compliment. Go Keith, go Rachel! The real America needs you!
October 17th, 2009 at 3:44 pmAnd this jackasses stupid 1,000 Points of Light was started so he could quit giving any federal funds to the needy at all. That’s after he and Reagan already stopped paying for anything that helps regular people.
October 17th, 2009 at 3:48 pmFirst, I want to congratulate both Rachel and Keith for doing an excellent job of keeping the American public informed. Being criticized by any of the Bushes would be a good thing, because that is like a cop being criticized by the criminal for doing his/her job!
Bush Sr and his gang of criminals have done virtually everything to bring down this nation and the democracy that has been paid for by thousands of patriots who’ve scarified their own lives to preserve. On that notes, the Bush dynasty is nothing but a self-serving, selfish, self-centered bunch of rich but soulless hypocrites sick dogs. The nation is trying to recover from a disastrous leadership of his son, who recklessly plunged this nation into the abyss of shame, disgrace, and destitute. In fact, it’ll be soon they get to face the truth of their own destruction and be held accountable for their evil action against humanity and the American people.
Bush and his entire family are no less than a bunch of organized criminals this nation loves to get rid of. So, shut up, George!
October 17th, 2009 at 3:50 pmBush is a pussy
October 17th, 2009 at 3:52 pmThis moron named George W. H. Bush has made his son (George W. Bush) very proud. Like father, like son. Both are genuine world-class morons! Blasting a couple of popular commentators who speak the truth and keep the American people inform is suicidal! And who else would do that other than a couple of well-deserved MORONS: Bush Sr. and Bush Jr.!
October 17th, 2009 at 3:53 pmI have been having a hard time identifying what label would be appropriate for George W. Bush. And now, thanks to George W. H. Bush, I now know an appropriate term to describe little adolescent Bush Jr.: a sick puppy!

It was tongue-in-cheek, ginslinger. But it’s good to know that I got a rise out of you just for saying it, while poor Olby Sucks still has to go out and prove that he still loves him some Olbermann.
October 17th, 2009 at 4:15 pmIMO, GHW Bush is exactly like Limbaugh in some ways. GHW thought that if he helped get his son elected as POTUS that whatever Bush II did while in office would be okay. Limbaugh thought that he could talk sh!t everyday over the airwaves and still be co-owner of an NFL team. They thought there would be no blowback for the damage they inflicted. GHW Bush, Bush II, and Limbaugh have recently found out that the majority of Americans have sent them a message they cannot ignore: You can do whatever you please, but, others, doing as they please, can reject you, and that money buys neither acceptance nor respect.
October 17th, 2009 at 4:25 pmGHW Bush had to go on a program that was Bush-friendly because if he’d gone on either Keith or Rachel’s show, their follow-up question would have been: Who on the right has also contributed to uncivil discourse and disrespect of President Obama?
ot,
From Crooks and Liars about an online game, “2011:OBAMA’S COUP FAILS“, that I’m sure Alejandro and Mr. Duke could play all day long:
Sarah Palin Found Fighting For Freedom
March 2011 – Sarah Palin found fighting in a militia in Virginia. She was helping to attack a convoy of C.O.R.N.Y. (Congress of Rejected and Neglected Youth) fighters. Sarah is still a candidate for that high office once Obama and his forces are neutralized. When asked for a comment by a local reporter she said ” The time for talk is well past us. Don’t ask me anything about any elections until we free this country completely from Obama, Hamas, and Obama’s police force. We will put a complete end to Marxism once and for all right here in Virgina, God help us!” Sarah is well remembered for the constant attacks on her by the ‘elite media’. The very same reporters and supposed news outlets such as the now defunct NY Times, that hid the news and played the most massive propaganda game on any free people in the history of mankind. With the Marxist elite media now a thing of the past, Freedom is surely rising. Sarah will make a fine President and has promised to do all in her power to put us back on the right path.
___
Finally. Meant to post it here but put it in the “Harman” post by accident.
October 17th, 2009 at 4:27 pmRelated:
Liz Cheney says she plans to target the “radical” policies of the Obama administration. But in a new ad, her group takes aim primarily at three MSNBC hosts: Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann and Ed Schultz.
October 17th, 2009 at 4:32 pmLiz Cheney doesn’t mention RAchel Maddow in her latest ad — maybe she is afraid that Rachel can and would make mincemeat out of her — but in a nice way, of course.
October 17th, 2009 at 4:33 pmUse that silver spoon to look at yourself.
October 17th, 2009 at 4:41 pm76 – no one gets to hide from their humanity forever – take atwater as the proof.
October 17th, 2009 at 4:42 pmI always thought Barbara Bush looked like the man on the Quaker Oats box.
I stopped buying Quaker oats because of this. Ewww.
In regard to this thread: George “Herbert-Herbert” is/was the lamest president this country ever had. The man is/was putty in the hands of the idiots who advised him. He did more to hide, obfuscate and delete information that would, if it were to become public, get him and most of the republicans who served under him and still remain in positions of authority, skinned alive.
He was instrumental in Iran-Contra for starters, and a whole lot of other ‘covert’ activities that have undermined the entirety of geopolitics since he was president.
So the label “Herbert-Herbert” (borrowed unabashedly from Star Trek) fits him perfectly.
“Herbert, Herbert, Herbert, Herbert…”
October 17th, 2009 at 4:50 pmOh, and Rachel Maddow did a number on his traitorous a&& too!
I admire and respect Rachel Maddow–one of the few real journalists that exist today.
October 17th, 2009 at 4:52 pmFirst the Bush family trots out Jeb to whine about the treatment brother George was getting from Democrats and the media. That flopped. Now they bring out Poppy to whine about Maddow and Olbermann. That too will flop.
Somehow I think the Republican party would wish the Bush’s would just shut up as it plays into the Democrats hands to have Bush as the topic of discussion and a reminder of why we face so many serious problems today.
October 17th, 2009 at 5:09 pmOver time I had become somewhat respectful of GHWB, with his working with Clinton and others. But his little stupidity re: Rachel and Keith has undone all that. Are republicans all dedicated to doing stupid things? Are they all fools? As necessary punishment, to restore whatever respectability you might have had, I sentence you to watch Rachel and Keith for a week each. Maybe you will finally come to understand what honesty is. Oh, never mind. History has shown you and your like will always be ignorant.
October 17th, 2009 at 5:16 pmG.W.H. Traitor shows that the Neo-con REpubiscums are still unable to recognize their projection.
WHatever they say of their opponet is in reality a picture of themselves.

The Bush name is dirt. Has been since PRescott traded with the enemy back in 1944. That sorry scumsucking piece of sh|t should ahve been hung for treason back then, and we wouldn’t be in this sorry state. The familiy name would have been synonymous with Arnold.
Hang all the traitors.
October 17th, 2009 at 5:31 pmOld Mr. Bush is hiding in his comfort zone of denial is all. Let the old fart dream about the son that never was. just never, never elect another Republican to office again, that’s all. They are deluded, and that’s about the best thing you can say about them.
October 17th, 2009 at 5:58 pmBush Sr. has said stuff like this before, and I’m not necessarily going to condemn him. He’s a dad, and his son got some seriously harsh criticism.
And for Pete’s sake, the man went on SNL to mock himself after he lost to Clinton. I do grudgingly like him, even if I disagree with most of what he stands for.
October 17th, 2009 at 6:20 pmI agree with commentor on Rachel’s show last night. The republican party created this monster, and they are not comfortable with it, they are especially uncomfortable with anyone else but them using that monster for political gain.
October 17th, 2009 at 6:37 pmPerhaps the problem for GHWB is that he can’t remember the Republipimp and “conservative” pundit’s and poltroon’s names because he doesn’t watch or listen to any of them. Can’t stand them, not one of them; not Glenda, not Blimpo, not boRilly, not a damned one. He finds them obnoxious, boring, stupid, and full of idiot childish conspiracy theories.
But he does watch KO and Rachel because they always have something interesting to say and they keep his blood pressure in the suitable range for demonic habitation of a corpse.
October 17th, 2009 at 6:41 pm“And the way they treat my son and the way they treat anybody that doesn’t go along with their point of view, it’s just horrible.”
Not near as horrible as you treated our country and it’s citizens.
October 17th, 2009 at 6:41 pmBush41 is just trying to shovel more propaganda to try to save the sinking ship that is the Republican Party. The Republicans are finished politically, and they are trying to close ranks to save what little they have left.
It is hopeless, of course. The Republican Party is now seen worldwide as a fascist crime organization. No patriotic American will vote for a pro-torture political party. No patriotic American will vote for a political party that puts party before country.
This is just a disgraced ex-President begging the press for mercy, on behalf of his son.
October 17th, 2009 at 7:03 pmMr. Duke you’ll just have to face the curse of a coward’s fears!
October 17th, 2009 at 7:21 pmMy, my, my….under George Bush ole Daddy was crying every day ashamed about what his son had wrought on America, but now 9 months into President Obama’s presidency…H.W.’s attitude is now, “Ha ha suckers! My son got away with war crimes! Pbbblllllttttttttt. Anyone who questioned him was the wrong one!!!!”.
Gawd I hate and despise the Bush family with every ounce of my being.
October 17th, 2009 at 7:30 pmLet’s think of a few revered Americans.
October 17th, 2009 at 7:54 pmBenedict Arnold
Herbert Hoover
Richard Nixon
Ronald Regan
George H. W. Bush
George W. Bush
It is odd that Republicans are never redeemed in history.
Although Arnold was not a Republican, they seem to follow in his footsteps.
How does it feel, senior Bush that the Bush name is synonymous with traitor, crook and a new category for your son, idiot.
We had sick puppies in the White House for 8 years. Huh. Old Man Bush didn’t notice this. Oh that’s right! He hid under Bill Clinton’s coattails so no one would remember who he really is! Spit.
October 17th, 2009 at 8:03 pm“And the way they treat my son and the way they treat anybody that doesn’t go along with their point of view, it’s just horrible.”
Wah, wah just horrible!
What a devious lowlife scumbag this guy is,
How about what son Neil and the Saving & Loan fiasco/scam unleashed on the American public?
What about what your freak of son and his GOP cronies unleashed on America,
Taking a surplus and turning it into a deficit,
Lying us into a war that costs what? a trillion plus, when all is said and done?
Clearing brush on his stupid fake ranch while ignoring the 9/11 warnings?
Pissing on the Constitution?
What about what that imbecile did in/to Iraq?
What about the Iraqi people?
“Wah wah poor little Georgie. They talk mean about him.”
It was probably that attitude that turned that overprivileged, frat boy into the arrogant, delusional sociopathic, alcoholic loser that he became.
October 17th, 2009 at 8:07 pmbecame
Given that Benedict Arnold was a successful merchant, protested taxation, favored confrontation over diplomacy and was driven as much by pursuit of “honor” as by patriotic fervor, I think it’s fair to say that he would be a Republican were he alive today.
October 17th, 2009 at 8:14 pm““The way they treat my son and anyone who’s opposed to their point of view is just horrible,” Mr. Bush said.”
Of course Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, and every decent honest human being is opposed to Bush’s Fascist/Conservative point of view. That is simply because Bush’s Fascist/Conservative point of view is to LIE, DECEIVE,INTIMIDATE, DISTORT AND CORRUPT ! Because Bush’s Republican Conservative point of view is based on POWER and GREED and not on helping solve problems of the American people.
October 17th, 2009 at 8:14 pmHeh – a corrupt, treasonous old fart like GHWB – a guy with Nazis, failures, terrorists, gun runners, drug addicts and criminals hanging off his family tree ain’t got NO room at all to call anyone names.
Just sayin’. STFU, you rotten old man. You’re lucky you aren’t spending your golden years in prison.

and a good understanding of why “the left is so hateful”…
and pissed off… though now it’s mostly redirected toward the clean up…
today’s teabaggers are waking up to what the left has been
trying to call attention to for many long years…
except it took a black man to wake them up…
and don’t THAT piss ‘em off…
it’s hard to admit you’ve been duped and used… for SO long…
which is why they’d rather slurp of those lies and bullshit…

All liberals are sick puppies.
Please. You can’t possibly mean all of us. Come on.
October 17th, 2009 at 10:34 pmSaying, “with proof” without supplying proof is just pure wingnuttery. When will you fascists realize Americans aren’t buying your propaganda anymore.
The Republican Party is finished. Conservatism is a dead philosophy that failed miserably.
October 17th, 2009 at 10:35 pmWith Olby Luv, it’s 100 proof.
October 17th, 2009 at 10:38 pmThe BushCo Crime Family, its defenders and its apologists, are sick, twisted humanoids. A sick puppy is an object of pity; they are not.
October 17th, 2009 at 10:53 pmOh, man, you must be kidding. Rachel Maddow is the most sane, intelligent voice on television. Her interviews are conducted smartly, and she truly listens and takes in facts. FACTS! Keith has his moments, but he’s popped a few veins, which is hardly his faux pas. Who can blame him? But, Rachel? She’s an inspiration to me.
October 17th, 2009 at 10:55 pmOlby Sucks’
October 17th, 2009 at 11:18 pmI don’t anticipate the country erecting statues in honor of the Bush dynasty any time soon. In fact I have noted the Republican Party putting some distance between the party and the “Bush Legacy”. Bush Senior wasn’t brilliant, he could hold his own, but he sure did raise the lamest bunch of boys.
Hell they can’t even speak the kings English.
The Republicans have an albatross around their neck with the Bush family. The time isn’t too far off when the name Bush is at the level of Nixon. The Republicans are dead in the water with the Bush Legacy.
Time to throw the Bush’s overboard, oh, they already have.
That senile old fool has inflicted terrible damage on our nation by unleashing his demon spawn into repiggie politics.
Once and for all, let’s never elect any more members of that Bush clan to anything.
Let them live on their ill-gotten war profits.
Don’t ever let them anywhere near the corridors of power.
October 17th, 2009 at 11:29 pmconservative guy says:
All liberals are sick puppies.
All conservatives project because they are insecure and childish.
October 17th, 2009 at 11:36 pmH Bush, as his son are so trite and child like.
did not realize H Bush was such a moron too.
October 18th, 2009 at 2:07 amMethinks Poppy is a pussy without any sense of a fair fight. The people he is throwing stones at have more integrity than he can comprehend. He defends the destruction reaped by his son and spreads filth about those who call “W” on it.
Can’t his baby boy fight his own fight? …stand up for himself without Daddy. “W” probably doesn’t have the good sense to be embarassed.
How quickly conservatives go from iron-fisted power plays to being whimpering little bed-wetters. Olbermann and Maddow would be more factual and fair-minded than I.
October 18th, 2009 at 2:32 amOlby Sucks is on its way out….
October 18th, 2009 at 7:26 amdixie blood says:
“G H W Botch is pissed because his wife looks like George Washington and his son is the worst phucking president in history right in front of his own sorry scum sucking a$$.
One family. Two failures.”
dixie,
Let’s not forget that Barbie Bush proudly proclaimed she is related to a THIRD Commander and Chief: Franklin Pierce, who, “….as president subsequently made decisions which were widely criticized and divisive in their effects, thus giving him the reputation as one of the worst presidents in U.S. history.”
“…he came out in favor of the Kansas-Nebraska Act, repealing the Missouri Compromise and reopening the question of the expansion of slavery in the West.
“Pierce’s credibility was further damaged when several of his diplomats issued the Ostend Manifesto….” “Abandoned by his party, Pierce was not renominated to run in the 1856 presidential election…replaced by James Buchanan….” Hey, Barb. Check your ancestry. Are you sure you’re not related to James Buchanan, as well?
Does this does this ranking have a 21st century ring? From the Wall Street Journal, 11/16/2000:
“B. The Worst Presidents
According to the 78 experts on our panel, the worst president was James Buchanan (ranked 39th), followed by Warren Harding (tied for37th) and Franklin Pierce (tied for 37th).”
So, Barbie, baby….You’re related to 3 of the worst presidents in the history of our nation. Be proud. Be very proud.
October 18th, 2009 at 8:54 amHaving been associated with so many s.o.b.’s, both in and out of government, one must assume that the former president has ample standing to comment on puppies. However, in keeping with a long cherished family tradition, he is egregiously wrong again.
October 18th, 2009 at 9:56 amGHW “Poppy” Bush has been CIA his entire adult life…and not in a good way.
Read Russ Baker’s new book, ‘Family of Secrets’ to learn of his and W’s exploits.
Here’s James Moore’s (’Bush’s Brain’) take on Mr. Baker’s book:

October 18th, 2009 at 10:21 amAll conservatives are subhumnans. They are lacking what has taken Liberals and Progressives one step closer in the evolutionary scale toward ideal humanism, that is the ability to be altruistic, to be able to think about how their actions affect others.
They are sickly and weak. Their egoism and self-indulgence is symptomatic of their shared failings. They will die off as the rest of the population advances toward a better world without them!
October 18th, 2009 at 10:23 amSo, to sum up:
Barbara Bush’s great great grandpoppy was a president who apparently was in favor of spreading and sustaining slavery.
Bush 41’s dad, Prescott Bush, thought Hitler was worth supporting. Prescott Bush was among a small group of white right-wing extremist oligarchs who helped arm Hitler and who were in agreement with Hitler’s cultural views of white Aryan supremacy.
Bush 41 was Reagan’s VP. Remember Reagan’s “Cadillac driving Welfare Queen”? Reagan, with Bush’s help and support, took racism to new heights in their implementation of racial politics, AKA, the Southern Stradegy.
Bush 41 brought us Iran-Contra – also known as killing non-whites on two continents, three if you include the war on urban blacks funded by Poppy’s cocaine connections – will we ever know how much of the money that came out of Iran-Contra came from the infusion of crack cocaine into American cities?. Or, for that matter, how much they made off of importing heroin from Afghanistan in the 80’s?
Bush 43 – well, we know what he brought us, millions more non-white people dead at his hands and millions more left with their country and their lives devestated.
Jeb Bush illegaly stripped over 45,000 predominantly black people of their right to vote in 2000, and got away with it. He tried again in 2004, but was stopped. But as a resident of Florida, I can attest to the institutionalized racism of Bush’s time running the state.
Kanye West was wrong. It isn’t that Bush doesn’t care about black people; it’s that the Bush family, on both sides, have been white supremecists for generations.
The cruelty is that, unlike Hitler, the Bushes don’t want to eliminate non-whites, they want to use them as sources of servants, soldiers, and profit.
When Barbara Bush was gushing over how good Katrina refugees had it in Houston, she was also announcing a donation for Hurricane relief. Sounded like a nice gesture, but, in fact, she had made it contingent upon the money only being used to buy her son, Neil’s, education software. This would mean that in order for Louisiana to get her money, they would have to contract with her son to buy his education software for LA’s schools.
Two other states were using Neil’s crap for school’s mandatory testing – Florida, (under Jeb), and Texas, (under W). Educationally, both states ranked in the bottom 10% of the entire country. Both states also have large minority populations that are, thanks to the Bushes, being kept as ignorant as possible.
The Bushes are as racist as the worst KKKer, they just have generations of good schooling to teach them to cover it with a thin veneer of civilized pretense.
Obama must drive them absolutely bat-sh*t crazy.
October 18th, 2009 at 10:41 amPrescott supported the Nazis. From the wiki:
October 18th, 2009 at 11:41 am
@roooth,
I think you are right on the mark about the Bushes’ inherent racism.
As I mentioned above, read ‘Family of Secrets’ to find how Poppy’s Zapata Offshore oil company had all the markings of a CIA front company which provided cover for Poppy’s frequent world travels.
You’ll also find out why Poppy said he couldn’t remember where he was on
22 November ‘63.
The Bushes are good at covering their various trails, but Russ Baker’s book, the result of five years of research into the Bush empire and supported by over 1,000 footnotes, documents the deep, hidden details about this nefarious family.
October 18th, 2009 at 11:58 am@ 106. Wayne A. Schneider says: (conman sez) “All liberals are sick puppies.” Please. You can’t possibly mean all of us. Come on. October 17th, 2009 at 10:34 pm
I dunno, Wayne, most of the folks I know are up to date on their immunizations, and I just had my rabies booster the other day, but Ol’ Conguy looks a little foamy around the muzzle and twitchy if ya ask me…
October 18th, 2009 at 12:56 pmSo the truth comes out….Mr. Duke is david duke
October 18th, 2009 at 2:45 pmThe last person who should be talking about “sick puppies” is George H.W. Bush, parent of a hardcore traitor and patriarch of an international Criminal Syndicate.
We’re wise to you, clown.
October 18th, 2009 at 4:33 pmPretty rich coming from a guy who raised a litter of neer-do-wells George JR, Neil and Marvin….
October 18th, 2009 at 7:28 pmI left out Jeb, although there are a lot of others who would say he did his part in the 2000 Florida election scam.
… comment #69 honeygreen , well said ! I feel the same .
