Liz Cheney dodges Maddow, will appear on Hannity instead.

Liz Cheney probably won’t be appearing on Rachel Maddow’s show tonight, either. After Maddow dared Cheney to come on and “debate the issues” with her (something that Cheney is attacking MSNBC for failing to do), the former Vice President’s daughter has instead chosen to appear in a much friendlier setting. According to a Fox News email, Liz will be a guest on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show tonight at 9 pm ET (the same time that Maddow’s show airs on MSNBC) to discuss why Obama’s “‘radical’ policies are placing us all at risk”:

Typical chickenhawk Cheney. They talk a big game but when it gets hot, they get a deferment.

Liz Cheney dodges Maddow, will appear on Hannity instead.

    – - Maybe Liz can ask Hannity why he ducked the whole waterboarding challenge from Olbermann. The Hannity can ask Liz why she ducked Maddow. Liz and Hannity, ducking frauds.

  3. BrianFL says:

Slashing defense spending? Where? Obama’s defense budget kept the same exact defense spending levels as Bush had planned for 2010.

Wavering on the war??? Where? Obama increased the amount of troops in Afghanistan.

Once again, Fox simply makes things up. I WISH Obama was as progressive as they make him out to be.

  4. raynman says:

Chickens of a feather, flock together…

So, Liz and Sean, why don’t you just flock off?

  5. dinglebe says:

Liz is undoubtedly scared shitless of being interviewed by Rachel. Rachel would have her for lunch.

  6. Purple State says:

No doubt that Hannity will lob softballs at Liz, then help her mash Maddow’s name to a pulp.

  7. Zimzone says:

Actually, Liz will be waterboarding Insannity tonight.

Her Dad taught her all she needs to know, & little Sean is going to live up to his pledge of being waterboarded for charity.

    Oh, but were it so…

Slashing defense spending. That’s rich. Her dad was the brain trust behind a massive military spending cut when he was SECDEF.

  11. P.D. says:

LOL! Like we didn’t see this coming. Do you think Hannity will hold her hand a whisper sweet nothings in her ear as he ‘questions’ her? Let’s prepare for the tough questions! Snark.

  24. hellinabucket says:

Olby, are you saying Fox planned to lie about military spending cuts weeks ago? Would you acknowledge the large military spending cuts by her dad when he was SECDEF? Will you admit that the timing of this is poor and that if Liz Cheney’s accusations are to be taken seriously she should go on the Rachel Madow show?

Or are you going to ignore this, just to return on some other thread with some other non point jibberish?

  25. mary lacewing says:

We could probably line by line predict exactly what will be discussed – typical right-wing propaganda and lies.

Obama is “slashing” defense spending – lie, he’s not even cutting it, let alone slashing it.

Obama is wavering on Afghanistan – lie, he’s taking care to consider the impact of the various actions, or in this case the lesser of all the evils.

Obama is investigating the CIA – well I hope so! I hope they also investigate upon whose orders the CIA acted upon. Is that the real reason she’s not happy about that?

Obama’s “radical” policies are placing the country at risk – really? Is that why Obama has already kept the country safe for longer than her daddy did?

  26. MrBrown says:

    “It’s like being Hitler’s daughter”

Chill with the Hitler references barly. Keep ourselves separated from the teabaggers…

She’s looking and sounding more like Sarah Palin daily, and only going on FOX to spread her nonsense is even more proof of that. Could you imagine a ticket with those 2? Scary…

(Unless your definition of “risk” used for Obama is the possibility that peace might break out somewhere in the world.)

BTW, Liz, did Daddy Darth ever receive the Nobel Prize for Peace? No? Humm, how odd….

Now she is reading from my script that I got from Satan and is trying to scare the ignorant morons who are stupid enough to vote Republican, and it is working, too bad only 20% of America will say they are republican now days, but Satan says they will come around in 2012….hey, moron did you get me some fresh blood from cute kittens and puppies?

After Hannity is finished sucking Liz’s balls maybe he can ask her this question:

You continue to say that by abolishing the extreme interrogation tactics put in place by your father that he is forsaking our national security. Supposedly these tactics were abandoned by then President Bush in 2006 after being found to be illegal and unuseful. If these tactics were abandoned years before Obama came into office how is it that you blame him for closing it down…unless the Bush Administration was in fact still using these tactics right through 2008?

Ms. Madow respectfully confronts opposing opinions. She doesn’t have a show filled with “yes men”.

You are wrong Mr. Duke but I’m guessing you are used to that.

  79. pags2 says:

You have to put Liz Cheney in a proper perspective. She is going to be part of the “Dems are weak on defense” campaign by the Republicans. Her PAC is merely a fundraising device that is going to be used to pay for ads for select candidates in districts where the race is close. The PAC is a way to circumvent campaign contribution limits. The Dems already know what the Republicans are going to do in the 2010 elections. They have their own groups that are fundraising for candidates. The simplest way for Dems to get reelected is for health care to be passed along with other legislation. The defense issue is not going to be a strong part of the elections. Jobs and the economy are going to be the big issues. That is where the Dems need to get moving.

  81. wolfsinger says:

It really is interesting to witness Cheney 2.0. Tragic actually.

Liz is her dad – only more so. She has his views – only more so.

She is a fully grown woman who vehemently defends her dad’s lies leading us to war, the rape of our military, the policies that led to the drowning of a city and the near total destruction of our country’s civil liberties.

And yet, Liz has never held elected office. Never worked in an administration. Never had to personally test her father’s ideas that she now feverishly defends as her own in the court of public opinion. Never had to wear “the emperor’s new clothes” like other public servants – like her own father has had to do and by which history will be the judge.

Yet, through it all….Daddy is wonderful.

She doesn’t QUESTION her father. EVER! She won’t question him. It’s beyond creepy.

I believe she CAN’T question him. Just can’t do it.

For to do so would open a Pandora’s Box that would lead her down a road to begin questioning everything and that I believe, would be to emotionally painful for her.

One has to wonder what youthful secrets, what deep, dank, ugly family secrets she is hiding with her text-book case of arrested development?

What is it she needs to defend to adamantly?

  82. eyesopen says:

You really can’t expect Lizzie Boredom to debate ideas with Rachel Maddow. Lizzie doesn’t really have any ideas, just talking points. Some of those come from Daddy Dick, some come from Billy Kristol. None seem to actually originate with little Lizzie Cheney.
She’ll feel much more comfortable with Sean Hannity, with whom she has so much in common, like using the head as nothing more than a support base for the hair and hot air.

Hilarious! What a stupid woman– appearing on Hannity means nothing– might as well have her Dad interview her. Liz is terrified of any real questions, she wants to be coddled, loved, & admired– so Hannity is perfect. But that’s why Fox is the Repub Propaganda Network. (RPN) They promote nothing except Repub/GOP/right wing garbage. They have NO balanced views. And every day they add to the proof that they are GOP propaganda. Are they really too stupid to see that? And that the proof is being archived? Answer, I suppose- Yes, Fox is that stupid.

  95. hellinabucket says:

aaronk, I read your link, and at first I thought that KO should debate him. But Ziegler wants the debate done on Countdown for a full hour. Couple of problems with that.
