Liz Cheney floats her father Dick as potential 2012 presidential candidate.

Liz Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, sat on this morning’s Fox News Sunday panel. The topic turned to President Obama’s respectful bow before Japanese Emperor Akihito, for which the president is being attacked mercilessly by conservatives. Host Chris Wallace aired a videotape of Vice President Cheney choosing not to bow before the Emperor in Feb. 2007, and then asked the panel what they thought of “bow-gate.” Liz saw an opportunity to make a case for her father:

LIZ CHENEY: You could also look at the comparison and think, Cheney 2012.

WALLACE: Really?! How far do you want to go with that?

KRISTOL: Let Liz make news. Cheney/Palin.

WALLACE: Or Palin/Cheney — don’t be sexist.

Watch it:

Liz Cheney and fellow Fox co-panelist Bill Kristol sit together on the board of Keep America Safe, an ostensibly partisan organization created for the purpose of crafting national security attack ads on Democrats. Fox, of course, never disclosed Cheney and Kristol’s common affiliation.

Update Liz has previously suggested that she herself may be interested in a run for political office.

It’s hard to condemn Liz for wanting to ignore her father’s life expectancy. There’s cottage cheese in your local supermarket that’ll lst longer than he will.

  2. tom says:

Little Lizzie is a no-talent hack (not unlike Bloody Billy Kristol). Who really cares what this nepotistic little whore has to say?

You’d think she would be relieved that KSM’s trial in NYC will not have to rely upon any of the evidence coerced by the torture that her father ordered to be used on this murderer.

I do hope that FoxSnooze keeps having her on their “expert panel”, though. Her arrogant, misinformed opinions are a source of endless amusement to me. She speaks with the same sneer that Darth Cheney has. And she reminds me of her battle-ax mother whom I have missed since the GDumbya campaign muzzled her in 2004.

It’s very important for her to stay in the public eye. We need a clear and present reminder of the incompetence and deceit that we barely escaped when GDumbya’s regime mercifully ended this January.

  3. HomerSexual says:

    Cheney/Cheney in 2012?

Even a more palatable sounding Liz & Dick in 2012 (an allusion to Taylor & Burton) is hard to swallow.

  9. brothejr says:

I love how Faux News is trying to make something again of the President bowing. It amazes me of the conservatives lack of manners and how far they will go to criticize the president.

I also almost hope that Cheney and Palin would run together. It would be the most funniest thing I would see and almost guarantee that the Democrats will win. Also, I’d like to see the Tea Party political party get far stronger and try to run their own candidate. That way they’ll also weaken and marginalize the GOP even farther. Thus again making it easier for the Democrats to win. Either way it’s a win win situation for the Democrats if they can capitalize on it.

Why would we wish to do that? Is there any evidence to suggest we should? Perhaps you should led a group discussion with a large piece of chart paper and a marker. Start by drawing a vertical line done the center. Next label one side President Obama and the other Bozo. Underline each. Good. Now let’s begin…

WASHINGTON – The former mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliani, says putting suspected Sept. 11 terrorists on trial in New York City places residents there at unnecessary risk.

No Rudy, appointing Bernie Kerik put NYC at risk. And the risk didn’t keep this d!cjweed from “testifying” (grandstanding) at the Moussaoui trial.

From AP: With the smiling Al Qaeda member Zacarias Moussaoui sitting only 10 feet from him, former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani of New York recalled today how the sight of people jumping from the burning World Trade Center will stay with him all his life.

Admit it, Cheney the blonder, you’re drooling over the idea of running for prez.

She’s trying to make HERSELF more viable as a candidate by implying that her father would be a good candidate. She knows that he would ultimately be considered way too risky (they’d blame passing on him on his health, of course, not on the fact that he lied us into war for profit and ego) and hopes that the deciders of such things would then turn to her instead.

Knowing how to bow in Japan might help you while you are traveling. Bowing (ojigi) is a very important custom in Japan. Japanese people bow all the time. Most commonly, they greet each other by bowing instead of handshaking. It is impolite not to return a bow to whoever bowed to you. Japanese people might be uncomfortable with any physical forms of contact although they might be used to shaking hands with westerners.

Bowing has many functions in one. It expresses the feeling of respect, thanking, apologizing, greeting, and so on. It’s a convenient and important custom for you to learn. You can bow, when you say, “Thank you”, “Sorry”, “Hello”, “Good bye”, “Congratulations”, “Excuse me”, “Good night”, “Good Morning”, and more.

And why didn’t the Fox “news” gang also compare this to Dubya holding hands with Saudi Prince Abdullah?

Gee, what a brand new concept! Imagine, a President going to another country and adopting their customs, since it is the graceful and humble thing to do! Imagine, a President getting RESPECT from another country.

Look, I could give a sweet one if Cheney didn’t bow to the Emperor, as long as he wasn’t trying to take him on a hunting expedition. But to yell “OMG!” at Obama bowing to another country’s ruler?

Right-wing pundits need to get a sense of humility and understand that it’s not a sign of weakness, but a sign of cooperation. Get over yourselves, conservative idiots!!

Many of the same bashers have no idea that “W” not only held hands with the Saudi prince but also kissed him on the lips. Apparently after 8 years of the Boy King Bush, Americans are totally ignorant of manners and protocol when greeting foreign dignitaries………Obama studies and pays tribute to the culture of other countries--something that Bushie ignored completely. Thus, our reputation around the world was completely kaput. It’s gonna take 8 years of Obama to restore our country’s dignity and reputation among our fellow nation-states. Insensitive clods like Bush and Cheney could take a lesson as to why the rest of the world hates us.

    ???????????

  111. Saint Augustine says:

Sorry Wayne, I was trying for a “Thank You” in Japanese!

Dallas A-hole: “Bozo could win against this boy in office now.”
    ——————————————————

This boy in office beat the old man McCain in last year’s election. Accept it, you lost, loser.

  113. AUDIT THE FED says:

    Liz Cheney/Palin ‘12

    Yeahhhhh

  114. had enough says:

Cheney would love to be president… first of a series of things to do:

Destroy records of his guilt and rewrite history in his favor.

  115. had enough says:

Bring it on DICK.. run for office and further tear up the party of NO.

What was his approval rating? 12%?

  116. EugeneDebs says:

    DallasMORON

You are a RACIST prick. Dont bother to snivel about being called on it. Face it you are stupid. You were BORN stupid and you will DIE stupid and the sun will not dawn on a day in between that you are not stupid so why not just STFU and let the adults talk.

  117. EugeneDebs says:

I am BEGGING the GOP to run Darth Cheney for Pres. The palpable evil that flows off the man in waves is tangible. You can see it when his face appears on TV. The man would run neck and neck with a serial killer

  118. SP Biloxi says:

Just the thought of Dead Eyed Dick of being President or the Veep in 2012 is enough to move to another planet. Certainly shooting his buddy under Darth Cheney Administration wouldn’t be a crime. With a 9% approval rating of Cheney as the former Veep and co-President, every political party hates Cheney. And Liz must be smoking some funny stuff to think that this country would EVER nominate and even vote for a five-deferment, draft dodger, cyborg-like, war criminal, and evil Dead Eye Dick for public office!

  119. Wayne A. Schneider says:

Saint Augustine. Your “Domo” has been accepted. :)

  120. Cats r Flyfishn says:

Our military are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan, the economy is still shaky, people are still looking for jobs, and 122 Americans die each day because they don’t have health insurance, just to name a few, and these bozos on Fox Opinion Network have their knickers bunched into their du pas because our President knows how to show respect to people of other cultures. Fox Opinion Network – for the undereducated with a grade school mentality.

  121. Cats r Flyfishn says:

I must confess to memory problems this morning, can anyone remember who it was that Bush 41 “Honored” by heaving on them?

I believe that was the Prime Minister of Japan whom GHW Bush honored with his vomitus.

Yes, I remember when this happened. It was called a “Bush-a-who-roo”.

  122. YogiBarrister says:

Liz Cheney floats her father Dick as potential 2012 presidential candidate
She should put him in a lawnchair attached to helium balloons

  123. Bozo The Neoclown says:

“Liz Cheney floats her father Dick as potential 2012 presidential candidate”

hey liz you skank cow. you know what else “floats” a piece of shit, just like your old man

  124. Mr. Sonia Herecomestheangst says:

You have to love FOX News Sunday. The only show on Sunday where you can laugh so hard you can almost cry and throw up at the material all at the same time!

Yeah, lets have any Cheney/Palin ticket. Then Sarah could be left alone in the Oval Office in either scenario after Dick’s ticker stops for good. At that point the terrorists would just have to say “boo” or wait until Palin can’t do anymore fancy pageant walking at the State of the Union address.

  125. Parlezvous says:

Lez Cheney floated a what, where?

  126. Parlezvous says:

How could such a complete crook be a good Presidential candidate? Dick Cheney and Dick Nixon. I forgot about Nixon. After the upcoming 911 conspirator trial, Dick will have to move to Saudi Arabia and live in the bin Laden household.

  127. Purple State says:

New right-wing OMG! meme I’ve heard at MediaMatters:

    “Obama didn’t bow correctly, WTF!”

Seriously. Either he bowed or disrespected the bowing culture. It’s never neither.

  128. eebeeno says:

LOL, the day Cheney becomes president (dictator) is the day I (among countless others) will renounce my citizenship and flee!

  129. Kwik says:

Dick Dastardly couldn’t even get tix to the Republican Nat’l Convention last year. Now his daughter is floating the notion of him as its nominee in 2012? She’s just as crazy as her snarling old man. Love is blind.
