Last night, Fox News host Glenn Beck premiered his new live show based on his book The Christmas Sweater, which was simulcast to hundreds of movie theaters across the country. Sponsor Fathom Events called it a “once in a lifetime event,” during which “Glenn will tell you about the real life events that inspired him to write” the book, play clips from his 2008 national tour, and “share stories of the overwhelming response he received.” Despite heavy promotion on Beck’s radio and TV shows, and in-theater trailers, ticket sales were weak in major cities: Beck sold only 17 tickets in Boston, another 17 in New York, and just 30 in Washington, DC. Raw Story reports that, while sales were better in more conservative areas, even Seattle — which is near Beck’s hometown — couldn’t muster a strong crowd:
While it performed better in the south and in rural, more conservative areas, his ability to draw viewers in major US markets was a bust.
“The theater’s almost empty,” a representative at Regal Cinemas in Manhattan told Raw Story moments before it began.
The viewing in Lynnwood, WA — the closest one to Beck’s Mount Vernon hometown — sold out several hours before the show began. Ten miles south, 70 out of 415 seats had been snagged in Seattle, a better turnout than other cities.
Despite purporting to be a champion of the “little guy,” Beck set tickets prices at $20 — more than double the average ticket price. Blogger Joseph Childers reports that the production value looked “cheap,” and “the bulk of the evening consists solely of Glenn Beck acting out every role in his hokey story, with only his limited repertoire of accents and pantomime filling out the ‘cast’.”
Ha Ha.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:09 pmI guess Glenda won’t have to use ‘Vick’s Vapor Rub’ this time.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:09 pmHow is it this dope is one of the leading voices of the GOP? Oh, right, the GOP is the fringe now. He really did crazy himself into obscurity, how fitting.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:10 pmOuch!
Right up there with Ben Stein in the running for the Razzies…
The American public is only about half as dumb as Beck needs them to be.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:10 pmDamn, I was hoping more wingnuts could get ripped off by this guy. He’s a pure snake-oil salesman; he doesn’t actually believe anything he says.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:11 pmProbably Michael Moore’s fault.
/snark off
December 4th, 2009 at 12:11 pmLook, I’m not into laughing at people’s short-comings. Lord knows, I have many faults mtself. But this is Poetic Justice. This, is a man who is USING his own tragety to gain sypathy. Karma has a way of kicking ass.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:12 pmApparently Glenn is not ready for the big time, yet…. gee go figure, what a dweeb.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:12 pmThey’ll start giving those tickets away FREE and then claim the theatres were a ’sell out’ . .
A true conservative should donate the $20 to charity rather than pay money to listen to a complete idiot to reaffirm their own racist beliefs!!
December 4th, 2009 at 12:14 pmWell looking on the brightside now Glenda has another reason to cry inconsolably on his show
December 4th, 2009 at 12:16 pmAn entire evening of teh crazy for $20 — does that come with a barf bag?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:16 pmI think i speak for everyone (except the trolls) when I say:
Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:16 pmSponsor Fathom Events called it a “once in a lifetime event,”
for which all of America is profoundly thankful. Once was too much evidently.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:16 pmLiz@9, LOL! Then Faux will show people going to see a popular movie and claim it was Glenn’s film.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:16 pmOh, no! I told them once, I told them a hundred times: put “Spinal Tap” first and “Puppet show” last.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:18 pmI thought “Shrek the Halls” had a better donkey than “Christmas Sweater”
just saying
December 4th, 2009 at 12:18 pm@14. DO you think they’ll do it by the end of the day, or will we wait til monday for them to have another “incident”?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:18 pmwhere are all the 912 wolverines to spin this up for us?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:18 pmI cant wait to see how beck spins this one to blame Obama for the horrible turnout.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:19 pm“The Christmas Sweater” by Glenn Beck!
Which is it? A great live show or the greatest live show?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:19 pmI paid $15 to see My Bloody Valentine 3D for crying out loud. I knew ahead of time it would be stupid, but fun too.
$20 is stomachable if you love this guy. Clear proof that it’s one thing to leave a popular TV station on for “free” compared to actually giving this loser money. Maybe it’s a sign of his true popularity.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:20 pmSounds like he might not even make his production and booking cost. A real heartbreaker, that. Oh well, he can do the all American thing – write it off on his taxes…
cheap bastard
December 4th, 2009 at 12:21 pmWhat do you wanna bet that Faux News doesn’t even mention Beck’s film? And if they do. It will be because the Blue States have an evil agenda and ACORN is involved.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:21 pmWait, twenty bucks was to watch a telecast, not for the live/in-person ticket? That’s completely insa- oh wait, forgot who we’re talking about.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:24 pmWhere are the trolls? I guess they can’t stomach the thought of coming in here letting us pound them. What a bunch of cowards!
December 4th, 2009 at 12:24 pmPerhaps he should’ve called it “The Holiday Sweater.” That’d encourage people who celebrate Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, 3id al-A9′7a, Diwali, New Year’s, and the Winter Solstice to attend. Might’ve upped those ticket sales to two dozen in New York and Boston.
Better luck next time, Beck-o!
December 4th, 2009 at 12:26 pmI’m surprised they got to 70. I would have guessed 25 tops.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:26 pmI wouldn’t spend $20 to throw rotten tomatoes at this guy. I might do it for free though.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:27 pmObviously the country was just dying to see a second rate clown who spouts dissension and distrust perform a heart felt tale about Xmas.
I wonder if Rush is going to do an Easter show?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:28 pmGotta love it when the free market system works the way it’s supposed to, eh, Becky?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:28 pmHe should get his BFF Sarah Palin and her co-birther Orly Taitz to do a striptease.
He might sell about eleven more tickets.
Christ, who would want to sit through that GOPshite?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:28 pmZooey says:
An entire evening of teh crazy for $20 — does that come with a barf bag?
For an additional $10 one could purchase the Tea Bagger Special: a jar of Vicks, a white hood and a barf bag.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:28 pmI was able to stomach Beck’s “comedy tour” movie before, despite the $20.
I wasn’t going to be fooled again.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:28 pmRaw Story reports that, while sales were better in more conservative areas, even Seattle — which is near Beck’s hometown — couldn’t muster a strong crowd:
I have no idea who Alex Seitz-Wald may be, but dude, seriously, there is nothing conservative about Seattle. They’ve got almost as many dirty hippies as we do here in Portland.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:29 pmP.D. allow me to play the part of the troll on this thread:
“Glenn Beck is a fine American and his show is a big hit!”
– Thank you.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:30 pmDid he lose a lot of money on this flop, I hope?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:30 pmMaybe if they threw in a free copy of palins book they would have sold a few more tickets.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:30 pmI’m just wondering where in the movie he plugs Goldline.com.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:31 pmHow many times did he cry?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:32 pmgum@34, LOL! And my uncle is one of the ‘Dirty Hippies’
December 4th, 2009 at 12:32 pmI’m just waiting for Faux News to claim that hundreds, if not thousands of fans braved the poor weather and stood in line for hours just to see Benn Gleck’s production.
Then, of course, they will show file footage of the opening night for Lord of the Rings as proof.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:32 pmWhere are the trolls?
The trolls are still lying unconscious in pools of their own drool in those nearly-empty theaters after experiencing BeckyBoy’s little dramatic reading of his tome.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:33 pmPerhaps he’ll rename it for next year to “Glenn Beck’s Christmas Flop Sweat”. Kind of hard to change all the print media stuff for this year’s reruns.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:33 pmralph#35, LOL! Excellant job. You threw in ‘American’ and stated a simple, but totally false, one worded sentence. That’s the trolls forte’.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:34 pmI guess the world isn’t ready for the sensitive side of this caring conservative. Either that or they don’t like the smell of Vicks.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:34 pmBeck’s inability to attract a large audience in major markets is a referendum on his politics. The people have voted with their feet. We report, you decide.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:35 pmI feel sorry for the retail book buyers who were forced to use some of their budget to buy this crap for their stores. I see remainders!
December 4th, 2009 at 12:35 pmShoulda been “The Christmas Straightjacket”.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:35 pmShhhhh. P.D., they’re defending Sarah Palin by attacking dbadass.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:35 pmFaux claimed 134 million saw his movie last night and showed a audience at a U2 crowd as “proof”.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:36 pmI would have paid him $20 to STFU ;-)
December 4th, 2009 at 12:37 pmI’ll bet it work go over better if he dressed as a cat. Who wouldn’t pay to see Glenn Beck dressed as a cat?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:37 pmHey, Glenda – don’t quit your day jo—
Oh, wait…
December 4th, 2009 at 12:37 pmHey P.D., isnt it nice to see Obama in our state.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:38 pmIm watching it right now,it looks like he has a better turnout then beck did for his sweater BS.
I’m pretty sure that UHF had a bigger theatrical draw than Glenn’s movie.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:40 pmThere were probably a group of hecklers there too, who were just as disappointed with the turnout. Beck is nothing more than a televangelist selling venus fly traps. Bless him, he needs it.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:40 pmIt’s a great day in America!
December 4th, 2009 at 12:40 pmDid any of the little holy roller trolls buy tickets to this crap?
Christ…talk about a war on Christmas!
December 4th, 2009 at 12:41 pmlp@51, LOL! I would too. But seriously, is this a film with actors or Beck just sermonizing? I don’t understand WTF it’s about. If it is just him blabbong, then it shows you how much of an egomaniac he is and how much contempt he has for the audience by jacking up the prices. Talk about delusions of grandure.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:41 pmAnd how many of the 17 were reporters and viewers there for the same reason people went to see Evel Kneivel.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:42 pmListen to Glenn Beck and get your once-in-a-deathtime-chance to become even more stupid…
O/T: tired of Bush imperial aggression and hostile military occupation? Try Obama imperial aggression and hostile military occupation, it’s so much more groovy…
Remember kids, the imperial occupation of today can lead to the pipelines of tomorrow installed in Afghanistan.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:42 pm@50, seriously? LMAO, when did that happen?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:42 pmIf he had featured male frontal nudity (not of him) in the show, he could have packed the house, as it were.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:42 pmDid the OSTLhole buy tickets for himself and mom?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:43 pmssc@54, Hello my PA buddy. And yes, I’m watching it. No matter what MSM out the Repugs say, Obama STILL has the support of the American people. It is so refreshing to have a SMART leader after the last 8 years of Bush.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:43 pmWhat is wrong with you people? Can you not see what is happening: ACORN stole the tickets and switched em’ all to say Disney’s Princess and the Frog.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:46 pm@52, What the…?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:46 pmWe can all be thankful this holiday season that Glenda and Sarah and all the Republicans are in such a wonderfully giving mood. We haven’t had this much stuff to laugh at in a long while and it should fit nicely with the modest movement of our economy and the other areas where their unending shows of callous stupidity relegate them more and more to their own little world of unreality.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:47 pmAre teabaggers featured in this show?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:49 pm69 – in a very real sense, the show is beck teabagging his fans, for jesus.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:50 pm“What Beck doesn’t understand is out of the scores of people who saw his show, why so many of them were outfitted in black lipstick, corpse makeup, and glitter.”
December 4th, 2009 at 12:53 pmWhen is anything with Beck not just a creepy revival, other people involved or not?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:54 pmBeck screwed up. He, like Sarah, didn’t include the magic decoder ring needed to understand their fantasies with every purchase.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:54 pmHe might be able to enlist that great conservative Carrie Prejean to play with her holiday hoo-hoo on stage.
Limpballs could dress up as Santa, and could go up Larry Craig’s chimney.
Now that’s a show I would love to see, even with Glenn Beck in it.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:55 pmHa-ha. It’s funny to see this huckster unraveling. Playing every part in a hokey Christmas play? That goes beyond megalomania into insanity. Wonder what the future really holds for Beck? Massive doses of anti-psychotics? A straight jacket?
December 4th, 2009 at 12:55 pm“The Christmas Sweater” is just another white-wing pullover for knitwits.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:58 pm@74. why? Are you a fan of vomiting? Because just the thought of that show is making me queasy. snark
December 4th, 2009 at 12:58 pmAaawww, bless his little heart.
December 4th, 2009 at 12:59 pmAnd the 17 tickets he sold in new york and boston equals 170 gazillion tickets each, at least in wingnut math(hehe wingnuts actually doing something that requires thinking*)!
December 4th, 2009 at 1:00 pmIf I still have trouble sleeping, I might go to this garbage.
Would the staff wake me up at the end?
December 4th, 2009 at 1:02 pmI’ll bet that throughout the entire production of “The Christmas Sweater” not once did Glen Beck deny raping and killing a girl in 1990. Maybe that’s why it is such a bomb. Nobody wants to see a non-suspected, non-denying rapist killer in a holiday performance.
December 4th, 2009 at 1:15 pmthey have theaters in seattle that serve booze. i’m sure they were just going to rocky horror picture show the shit out of it.
December 4th, 2009 at 1:20 pmLMAO! 17 tickets? Is that the best that the Beckster can do? Seventeen out of how many people view Beck’s show? Beck is just getting what he has been giving out. Beck is certainly a gift that keeps on giving.
December 4th, 2009 at 1:26 pmSeems it’s hard to find supporters unless you pay them to come, give them a bus ride there, feed them, house them, and then give them a ride home. If they have to do it on their own dime (by their own bootstraps), the turnout really sucks. Becker should remember that for his next ego stroking.
December 4th, 2009 at 1:30 pmThe thought of watching Glenn Beck on a big screen for hours, makes me nauseous
December 4th, 2009 at 1:31 pmWow, talk about a nighmare before Christmas!
His supporters must have all been out helping O’Liely fight the war against Christmas, taking to the streets with torches and Santa hats. Considering FOX’s studio here in NY is packed to the gills with GOOPers (and bedbugs), not to mention the Wall Street crowd you would think that more would come out to support their idealogical brother.
December 4th, 2009 at 1:34 pmI’m sorry, but when I read this:
Blogger Joseph Childers reports that the production value looked “cheap,” and “the bulk of the evening consists solely of Glenn Beck acting out every role in his hokey story,
My mind inadvertently misreads it to be “honkey”.
Which, in all honesty, is probably not too far from the truth, eh?
December 4th, 2009 at 1:38 pmHis ego knows no bounds. He’s got a TV show and a Radio show. He’s taken his show on the road live. Now he wants to make it on the big screen too. He could have done that bit on the TV show….or radio.
December 4th, 2009 at 1:39 pmI know this sounds sick, but I think I’ll watch his stupid show this afternoon to see if he says anything about it.
December 4th, 2009 at 1:44 pmThis comment has been voted down. Click to read.
Beck’s appeal is clearly with those on the edge of society both politically and economicly. While these types care about their issues, they have little or no motivation or intellectual or financial resources to go out support their causes. Beck’s appeal is limited and it looks like Palin has sucked a lot of these resources into her book tour, leaving Beck with little. The other thing that appears to be going on is that people in big cities, would fear being seen by someone they might know going into Beck events, how embarassing especially for in the closet urban racists.
December 4th, 2009 at 1:49 pmSTORMfront you racist punkass troll. Just STFU. Your attempts to derail the topic are as pathetic as you are.
December 4th, 2009 at 1:52 pmSPERM says (after administering his VDT syndrome):
SQUIRREL!
December 4th, 2009 at 1:52 pmHow pathetic. I’ve been wondering when a moronic troll would come here to defend Beck and his absurd little high-school one-man play. Two of the most moronic of trolls show up and they’ve got nothing but irrelevant chatter.
Come on, boys, you can do better than that. Tell us why “The Christmas Sweater” will endure as one of our treasured holiday traditions.
December 4th, 2009 at 1:57 pmThis is why I believe TV ratings to be meaningless. I’ve watched Beck for the same reason I’ve slowed down to see a car wreck. Just out of curiosity. Beck is fine for folks with no self-awareness. Beck is fine for folks who never question anything.
December 4th, 2009 at 1:57 pmWow. The second troll can’t even think of anything to post himself, so he cuts and pastes from tvsquad.com.
Veeeeerrrry weak effort.
December 4th, 2009 at 2:01 pmSTORM
unemployment down
stock market up.
dumbass.
December 4th, 2009 at 2:01 pmyou know he did if it’s over 4 words long and doesn’t end in a maniacle LOL.
December 4th, 2009 at 2:06 pmOSTL plagerized his post at 94 from this source.
Flagged
December 4th, 2009 at 2:06 pmLittle Storm has discovered that Bernie Ward may have been a pervert. Ward claims he was collecting reference material for a book. Whatever.
But, since we’re on the subject, maybe Storm would like to have a “Pervert-off Competition.” He started with Ward as an example. Tell you what, Storm, I’ll spot you three to one. For every liberal pervert you can name, I’ll give you three Republicans:
OK, you started; I’ll respond:
- Republican anti-abortion activist Howard Scott Heldreth is a convicted child rapist in Florida
- Republican Country Commissioner David Swartz pleaded guilty to molesting two girls under the age of 11 and was sentenced to 8 years in prison.
- Republican judge Mark Pazuhanich pleaded no contest to fondling a 10-year old girl and was sentenced to 10 years probation.
Come on, Storm. Let’s play. I’m giving you three to one!
December 4th, 2009 at 2:07 pmOSTL
Just kill yourself punk. You are so stupid and so pathetic it is just dismal. You will never be anything but a stupid pile of dogshit. Your life will always be a misery because of your abjects stupidity. Do the right thing
December 4th, 2009 at 2:08 pmLevi: “OSTL plagerized his post at 94 from this source.”
Poor trolls. They don’t seem to understand how The Google works.
December 4th, 2009 at 2:09 pmOSTL says: I still can’t get it right. Even when I run like a little kindergarten girl to a new thread.
December 4th, 2009 at 2:09 pmOSTL
Is a LIAR as well as being an ignorant punkass troll. He claimed he always sources his material but he is just a LIAR as well as being a pathetic plagiarist
December 4th, 2009 at 2:10 pmbernie ward is innocent and will be exonerated troll. He was looking for you:
December 4th, 2009 at 2:12 pm
OSTL
What I am wondering is how you can stand yourself. Being as stupid and pathetic as you are must just be a misery
December 4th, 2009 at 2:13 pmBeck, it’s time to face up to it: Your mother dresses you funny (Christmas sweater???), you’re unattractive, and people don’t like you.
December 4th, 2009 at 2:13 pmLittle Storm, here’s how our version of the Pervert Punk-off will work. You come up with a liberal “pervert,” and I give you three conservative perverts. I can go all day with this because you’re probably not aware of the fact that the current conservative movement is just filled with perverts. Let’s play!
Here’s a freebee to get you started:
Republican benefactor of conservative Christian groups, Richard Dasen Sr., was charged with rape for allegedly paying a 15-year old girl for sex. Dasen, 62, who is married with grown children and several grandchildren, has told police that over the past decade he paid more than $1 million to have sex with a large number of young women.
OK, this is fun. You give me another liberal pervert and I’ll add three more conservatives to the list! Exciting, eh?
December 4th, 2009 at 2:16 pmLittle Storm: “Who can forget Al Franken as the gorilla attendant in Trading Places.”
I think repubs in the Senate wish they could forget him. He’s just made 30 of them look like they support gang rape while doing the right thing by a constituent. Great work, Senator Frankin!
December 4th, 2009 at 2:19 pmI guess little Storm doesn’t want to play “Political Pervert Punk-off.” Maybe little Storm is smarter than we think.
December 4th, 2009 at 2:24 pmWiz says:
…The other thing that appears to be going on is that people in big cities, would fear being seen by someone they might know going into Beck events, how embarassing especially for in the closet urban racists.
I don’t think it is a question of embarrassment but, rather, the sophistication of urban audiences. People who live in big cities have a greater exposure to various news sources, local and national. I doubt you will find large audiences for the national Fox News in these markets. These audiences may watch their local Fox station. In Chicago, our local Fox station is not politically oriented so the audience is not barraged with the national propaganda from Fox. I assume that this would be true for all major cities.
December 4th, 2009 at 2:26 pmBeck’s audience is mostly poor older white people (who blame the Gov for their problems), folks who don’t have $20 to spare ($40 for a couple). They’re probably nervous about going out at night, too.
December 4th, 2009 at 2:27 pmSPERMfront sez:
SQUIRREL!
SQUIRREL!
REALLY OLD SQUIRREL!!!
December 4th, 2009 at 2:29 pmSure, if you consider primitive instincts of danger avoidance “smart”…
December 4th, 2009 at 2:30 pmWow. Has to be a first. Two trolls running and hiding inside 10 posts. Way to go, TPers.
December 4th, 2009 at 2:33 pmLevi the Oracle says:
OSTL plagerized his post at 94 from this source.
Has he ever had an original thought, that didn’t originate below the waist? He’s a timid intellect, afraid to do the heavy lifting required to produce a cogent argument. He likely skated through school, by copying the work of others.
December 4th, 2009 at 2:40 pmteatards are pathetic for believing their own bs.
they want to latch on and try to stink up The Christmas Story.
December 4th, 2009 at 2:51 pmAnd yet he’ll claim that they sold eleventy-thousand tickets.
December 4th, 2009 at 3:00 pmWillowOrchid says:
Beck’s audience is mostly poor older white people (who blame the Gov for their problems), folks who don’t have $20 to spare ($40 for a couple). They’re probably nervous about going out at night, too.
You are right about that.
But are you sure about the price?
Teatards paid the bargain price of $50/couple.
December 4th, 2009 at 3:10 pmSo for $10 (or less) you can see an actual movie, but for $20 you can see film of an author acting out a book by himself with a microphone.
December 4th, 2009 at 3:14 pmIMO, the reason the wingers didn’t show up was because there were no free tickets and no FreedomWorks buses sent to pick them up. LOL
In all seriousness though, money is tight, and the free market is still working. People had to choose between spending $20 for a movie ticket or spending it on something else they considered to be more important.
There was a trade-off, and Beckie Boy was the opportunity cost of their decision.
I’m quite sure he’ll understand this since he has such a strong belief/confidence in capitalism and the free market system.
He now has to live with the consequences of his beliefs.
This is a teachable moment for him.
December 4th, 2009 at 3:16 pmWho fell for the bait, becky?
December 4th, 2009 at 3:31 pm17 tickets? Looks like a mandate to stfu.
December 4th, 2009 at 3:32 pmIn April Becky boy was on track to make 18 million dollars this year alone. All of the books, bumper stickers, hats, tee-shirts, and duct tape really adds up. This from his website “I’m back! About a year ago I told my wife that’d I give a major organ to be on the top of the bestseller lists…I guess she took me seriously! Anyway—lots to say about Ft. Hood today, but, in the meantime, check out our Arguing with Idiots video contest finalists! The video with the most views wins, so help out your …favorite one by linking to it or sending it to your friends. See you tonight on TV…”
December 4th, 2009 at 3:54 pmNow, we are apparently the idiots to be argued with–and the super intelligent are helping Glenn add to his 33 million dollar net worth–nest egg.
that’s milk-out-the-nose funny.
December 4th, 2009 at 4:33 pmGlenn would have sold more tickets if he used some community organizers. Too bad he doesn’t know any.
December 4th, 2009 at 4:36 pmI thought for sure that by segueing from discussion of the parolee who gunned down four Washington state cops in cold blood to a reason to go see The Christmas Sweater (as Beck did on his show recently) would have boosted attendance, at least among homicidal maniacs who own guns and hate the government. Pity.
December 4th, 2009 at 4:46 pmKids! Christmas movie time! We’ve got choices! We can go see Avatar or The Christmas Sweater. Let’s vote!
December 4th, 2009 at 5:03 pmThis should be a clue to Beck on the out come of his ran for President. Now Sarah will step up effords to be the last idiot standing now with Rev. Huck out of the picture.
December 4th, 2009 at 5:24 pmWow, Beck. Such a lousy turnout.
Only one thing to conclude:
Sucks to be you.
December 4th, 2009 at 7:35 pmOSTL,
Did your parents ever teach you the difference between right and wrong?
You do know it is wrong to plagerize, don’t you?
December 4th, 2009 at 8:24 pmThis gives me some measure of hope that ours is still a nation redeemable from the charlatan hordes currently in charge of everything. This Pox Noise idiot, Glenn Beck, and the other know-nothings, empty vessels, chaff-in-the-wind opportunists should be ignored by all sane well-thinking people.
December 4th, 2009 at 9:01 pmThis has been an interesting discussion. Thought ya’ll might like to see what is posted on IMDB.COM about this production (and this is only the last paragraph): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1553690/usercomments
December 4th, 2009 at 9:32 pm“Beck’s performance was astounding, not insomuch as he is even more than a decent actor- but rather in the obvious emotional toll the story takes on him as he tells it. During the movie, when he spoke about the death of his father (which is no secret), there could not have been a dry in the theater. His openness toward the challenging emotions invites, without asking, each viewer to relive any certain experience that has caused such grief. I think that it is only in this acceptance to truly allow some emotion that the redemption can truly be felt. ”
I am sure this was a fair and impartial review (yeah, right).

They’ll shoot their feet off.

You mean like tp using ‘raw story’ as a ’source’ for Beck only selling 17 tickets? LOL!
Like “beck”s impartial review of anything? LOL! You’re as stupid as you are fanatic aren’t you my little Koldys p*ssy? ;)

December 5th, 2009 at 9:15 amCrist left Chri$tma$ a long time ago.
December 5th, 2009 at 9:20 amI always wonder where all you commie liberals hung out . isn’t this sweet you have you own little bash glenn beck website LOL . what morons you guy’s are
December 5th, 2009 at 12:26 pmI think Christmas Dipshit has a better ring to it.
December 5th, 2009 at 9:05 pmglenn beck embarrasses the “mentally handicapped!”
So I don’t know who the 17 morons were that bought those tickets in NY?
they probably came in from Staten Island..or Jersey.
December 5th, 2009 at 10:05 pmMy goodness. Such hatred….Such hatred. Possibly you should see the movie and then comment what it’s about. Your comments are like a dog barking at the moon, they have nothing to do with the subject at hand. If you cannot respond about the message that life is not fair, troubles happen, rely on friends and family to help you get through the storms in your life, then you went to the wrong movie. Otherwise, your comments are petty, bigotted, small and biased only to fit your hateful philosophy. Aren’t you proud of your hatred? Shouldn’t we all hate for hates sake alone? Oh wait, I do, I do hate..Whoopie!
December 6th, 2009 at 2:27 amI love all of you. It’s ok. We all understand why we pile all the special need children in the little bus. All of you so out of sight from the rest of the world. But I’ve found you.
Seriously, I am a democrat who kinda would like some answers to some of the questions Glenn Beck does ask. Does all of your devotion towards Obama and the Democratic party really make you all that blind? Our party along with the republicans is pretty screwed up. Can you all not see that Obama is pushing the american jobs overseas with cap and trade? And please don’t come at me with “Oh we need to save the planet” Cause we all know its a load of crap. If it was Mccain, Glenn Beck would be bashing him as well, because he would be doing the same thing. Are all of you so blind to see that he is spending this country into the ground faster then any other president? And I know you all are saying it’s Bush who started it. But it started a LONG time before that.
Instead of inserting your heads into your parties behinds, and instead of just bashing people, Why don’t you take the time to disprove what Glenn is saying.
I have to agree, I will judge somebody by the people they surround themselves with. And I’m not liking Obama very much.
December 6th, 2009 at 6:30 amI’m so glad to hear this news, when I first saw the trailers for this I was scared that it would become a phenomenon. But now I know that Glenn Beck is not what he thinks he is and does not speak for the majority of Americans. This is very reassuring news in times where everything political in America for some reason revolves arounf Beck and Fox News.
December 6th, 2009 at 4:13 pmOf course he did better in the South. the south is known for their disillusionment about religion, themselves as other people!
One of their problems….too much belief in lies.
This is why the sleeping awoke for this election.
It’s just that “smart” people put more of their thought and energy into other things..except powermongering over other people.
We had to step up to the plate and get these elitist manly sport fan, cowboys out of office.
Done! A few more in Congress to go..but we are getting there..Hopefully within a my generation we can have what the European’s and Australians enjoy.
Permanent Dole
Permanent Health Care.
What more do you want? I think getting the basics of survival down is paramount..dont you?
December 6th, 2009 at 6:10 pmCan’t wait to hear reports that FAUX was showing long lines at the movie. Most likely will be actual pics of Keith Olbermann’s Healthcare places, where lines went around the block, that gave uninsured citizens some needed care.

You are a liar and you are stupid. No dem I KNOW has any DEVOTION to Obama. Most of my friends take him to task all the time for backpeddling on his more progressive promises. We know you are stupid. We know the radio screechmonkeys that do your thinking for you have TOLD you about this devotion but that is the only place it exists in the feeble minds of brainwashed morons like YOU. They dont even believe it. They just know how stupid people like YOU are and that you will regurgitate this kind of stupidity regardless of the fact it is ludicrous and makes no sense. I pity morons like you though you are fun to laugh at. Thinking that SAYING you are a dem while spewing the talking points you have been programmed with gives you credibility is just one more example of how mind bogglingly stupid you are
December 7th, 2009 at 7:46 amDildoguffems
That makes us even. I always wondered where they inbreed you incredibly ignorant piles of dogshit.
December 7th, 2009 at 7:48 am92310
WWWWWAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH, you libs are so mean to the man who called Carter a waste of skin, said Obama was a racist who had hatred for white culture and so many other hateful and ignorant things my stomach wont survive me listing them. WWWWWWWAAAAAAAHHHHHHH why arent liberals nicer to hatespewing moronic liars like Beck. Its ok for THEM to spew hateful stupidity but liberals are somehow obligated to be NICE to him. WWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAA. Do yourself a favor and STFU
December 7th, 2009 at 7:50 amPerhaps he should’ve called it “The Holiday Sweater.” That’d encourage people who celebrate Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, 3id al-A9′7a, Diwali, New Year’s, and the Winter Solstice to attend. Might’ve upped those ticket sales to two dozen in New York and Boston. dell laptop battery

Such a shame
Ok, that may be the truth for some of you, I’ll give you that, It just tells me that your head is shoved up your parties behind. Lets start simple, Why push forth cap and trade, when our unemployment is through the roof? What is the benefit for this country by almost doubling energy costs? Are you able to put 2 and 2 together on how thats going to push more jobs overseas? Now dont come back and just bash, because the things I just stated would fall under common sense.
Blewvelvet, I laugh at you I really do. I was just told that Im a brainwashed idiot for wanting some answers, Did I get any answers, no, like a typical democrat all Eugenedebs could do was bash and talk crap about someone instead of arguing a point. All I have to say to you is that your very very blind if you see things going good for the party. This little shindig is going to be over in 2010. If you want to live in Europe please by all means get the fk out.
For the rest of you, how can you not be ashamed of what our party is doing, down to the smallest things, I mean come on, HOW DARE YOU spend almost a trillion dollars of the tax payers money and not read the what the hell it goes towards??? I hope you dont think thats going to win anybody re-elections next year, in debates the upcoming republicans and independents are going to make everyone who signed that look 3rd grade short bus stupid. Am I the only one who sees that? And if Im wrong on that please please I beg of you to tell me where I am wrong and how. Id love to hear that one.
Listen we need to have something done about health care, we really do. But government run health care is not the answer. Is simple math beyond some people? 10 years of taxes to pay for 5 years of coverage, coverage that wont cover everyone? Really? Fine and Jail those who dont buy insurance?? Really? Instead of flipping the system over, why not put forth legislation to cut the waste we have with medicare? Why not put forth legislation that wouldnt allow private insurance companies to dump people and deny coverage for pre-existing conditions? Sounds smart right? Well to the ones who hide under the cover of their parties underwear, it was tried, and it was voted down because it wouldn’t put enough money in the elected officials we have in office.
Again Ill say, our party along with the republicans are corrupt and they all need to be replaced. I want both parties to work for me, not special intrests, and if you can’t agree with that, you should move to Europe with Blewvelvet
