MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Mocks Sarah Palin By Writing ‘Cheat Sheet’ On Her Hand

On MSNBC’s Daily Rundown this morning, Andrea Mitchell reported that “one of the most interesting things” from Sarah Palin’s appearance at the Tea Party Convention this past weekend was the notes written on her hand. “Very clearly,” Mitchell observed, “were some cheat sheets.”

Mitchell then mocked Palin by displaying her own hand, which had some handwriting on it. Holding up her hand for the camera, Mitchell joked that she wrote some things down “just in case I didn’t remember” what she wanted to say:

Picture 2

Mitchell’s joke then segued into an interesting conversation about the press corps’ treatment of Palin. Host Chuck Todd — seemingly wary of taking a jab at Palin — attempted to defend her by arguing, “We’ve all done notes.” Mitchell responded by astutely noting Palin’s hypocrisy in attacking Obama for using a Teleprompter. “So she takes all these snarky shots at Barack Obama,” Mitchell said, leaving Todd to complete the sentence, “she undermined it a little bit.”

“If Mitt Romney had notes on his hand, wouldn’t we take it pretty seriously?” Mitchell asked. Todd responded, “She has different rules.” Watch the segment:

Andrea Mitchell may be a bit of a hack, but she’s still got it.

And Palin still hasn’t crashed and burned. So long as the media keeps focusing on her and there hasn’t been anything completely earth-shattering (other than Troopergate. and Todd Palin’s control of the state government. and the rampant overuse of state funds for private use…shit. how is this woman not in jail?) to discredit her even among the most ignorant of teabaggers…she’ll remain in the spotlight.

The best thing the Obama administration could hope for in 2012 is someone like Gingrich getting the GOP nomination and Palin running as an independent.

  6. House of Roberts says:

Early yesterday in a preview to her show Andrea Mitchell said:

Although she put on quite a show against Biden in the debate, there is probably no one, not even on the Right (the real Right, not the cheerleaders)that thinks she won that debate.

The President is dealing with two wars he inherited, a financial system on the verge of total collapse and the burden of trying to reform health care with an opposition party that is not willing to compromise.
Does our troll really believe that the President had time to write & rehearse a speech for children? The most logical thing to do would be delegate that task to one of his speech writers and read off it the teleprompter. As seen by his pwning the entire Republican party a week ago last Friday, he certainly does not need a teleprompter to get his point across.

Now lets go back to September 11, 2001.
President Bush was making a visit to a classroom and was informed that a second plane was flown into the World Trade Center. He was so unprepared and intellectually incapable of handling a major crisis that he sat there for 10 minutes and did nothing. Then he flew around the country trying to hide, instead of immediately taking charge of the situation.

Perhaps it is you that isn’t paying attention. America is the one that is losing. This is not a football game where you choose sides and the outcome doesn’t really hurt one side or the other. This is the quality of American life that we are talking about here and I suggest that you get serious or STFU.

    1. There is no government takeover of health care. That is a Frank Luntz talking point that has been debunked over and over. If you don’t think that we need health insurance reform in this country, then you are dumb as a box of rocks. People shouldn’t have to file for bankruptcy because they get sick. It’s heinous. Reforming our health care system is essential to getting the economy back on track and people back to work. Businesses will be able to employ more workers if they don’t have the health insurance monkey on their back and if people don’t have to go into massive debt to take care of health issues, then we will have a healthier more productive society.

    2. Cap & Trade is long overdue. The United States will be left behind instead of leading on green energy. Regardless of the political games being played in this country, research is being done elsewhere. What a shame that the U.S. is still dependent on foriegn oil instead if independently fueling our nation. If you don’t begin the research and development needed now, when will we do it? How many years will we be behind China and India if we continue to wait. Those nations are thinking long term, while idiots like you are short sighted.

    3. Scott Brown didn’t run as a republican. He ran from republicanism. His victory was about outsiders vs incumbents, not conservative vs liberal. As fara s the teabaggers go, Brown couldn’t runa waya from the movement fast enough. Did you not see his interview will Barbara Walters? He’s not one of you and he has made that clear.

    4. What do you have against collective bargaining? I have no problem with workers organizing and I don’t waste my time demonizing unions.

By the way, if you expect all teabaggers to tow the republican party line, then I think you are in for a very rude awakening. These people, misguided as they may be, are not simply going to re-elect republicans. To think so is lunacy. But good luck with that.

  162. mudsharks buddy says:

We don’t fear you. We fear what you will do with this country. Judging by the way you bozos ran the country into the ground during the previous admin. I’d say it’s a well founded fear.
You guys actually liked GWB. You thought he was smart enough to deserve being re-elected. And look where that got you.
    fools.

  163. Buckie Boy says:

    Sarah Palin is a retard…

…how come that felt ‘Good and Bad’ all at the same time?

  164. SoapBox says:

…the one-line-zingers and adding the -ey to everything is what bugs me about St. Sarah the Winker…

    It’s immature and juvenile.

  165. Zooey (sponsored by The Blue Sun Corporation) says:

Oh yeah, we’re surrounded by uneducated teabaggers.

Yep, I’m shaking in my boots!

    mudsharks buddy says:
    Well,…………….wait a minute.
Wha?…Hold on a second. I have to check my hand to see what I’m supposed to say.
    {The hand replies}
Talk to the Hand Sarah! Talk to the Hand.

    **snort**

Well if trying to scrub tea-bagger brains off the soles of my boots is shaking then fine.

  168. pops7154 says:

  170. fletc3her says:

The most hilarious thing about this is seeing all the right wing commenters proclaiming how they too write stuff on their hand all the time. I’ve been known to write on my hand, maybe a phone number or a meeting time. But, most people who speak to a crowd of hundreds just go ahead and write their notes on a note card or even an envelope or a napkin.

I’m just so glad this lady isn’t a heartbeat away from the Presidency. I know there’s a strain of anti-intellectualism in America, but, damn.

A little of that barf-dry stuff the school janitor uses sprinkled on the soles of your shoes ought to make the teeny tiny brain flakes easy to sweep away. ;)

  172. Gregor Samsa says:

What is worse with Palin is that this was an interview. She was asked questions about stuff she supposedly believes in.

Even worse yet, she and other reichwingers keep harping on about Obama’s use of the teleprompter. Lemme tell ya, I’ll take the teleprompter any day over a high school test cheatsheet.

    How embarrassing.

  173. just the bleepn facts says:

I loved that teabag teleprompter sarrrahhh brought with her! LOL! ;)

  174. just the bleepn facts says:

    Gregor Samsa says:

LOL! The sad part of the teabaggers whining about teleprompter is the former messiah ronneee raygun would always speak using one! Of course he had Alzheimers and was dumb as a rope like all Republican politicians seem to be… ;)

Now I feel bad for using my neighbors lawn to clean my boots. He votes Republican…my bad.

  176. mocha says:

If you type “teleprompter” in the search feature on the Fox Nation website, you get 1,310 articles – mostly slamming Obama. Yet – writing on your hand like a first grader is perfectly acceptable? Hmmmmm….

  177. tarazan says:

Sarah Palin was telling her attendees that America needs a ‘divine intervention’.
She missed to tell them that it worked well for her as a Republican.
She is leaving the convention with over $100,000.00.

  178. linzloo08 brought to you by Kaiser Permanente says:

    Favorite Bush moments:
    “Is our children learning?”
Iraq in possession of “nukkular” weapons
Choking on a pretzel ( at least 2x I think)
Hitting his head on his way into an Air Force One Helicopter.
    The list goes on…

  179. linzloo08 brought to you by Kaiser Permanente says:

Hehe Andrea Mitchell is pretty awesome, isn’t she?
My only question is: Why didn’t Maddow or Olbermann try to pull a stunt like this?

  180. wbramh says:

Now stop all this silly stuff about Trig not being Todd’s baby.
Trig is obviously Chuck Todd’s baby!

  181. larryt39 says:

Sometimes I have thought that Andrea should be reading from notes. But can somebody tell me what is wrong with notes, regardless where they are, writtne on the hand or on paper. Has Andrea Mitchell ever spoken a note of Obama? His reading of the teleprompter to a class of 6th graders? Or has she noticed. She is so caught up in the liberal garbage being spewed by those at MSNBC along with the other kooks in Olbermann, and Maddow. Wow! And Joe in the mroning is slowing reaching that point also. 182. i aint you says:

at least she did not refer to Navy Core men as Navy “corpse” men. What a maroon your perfect little blue “Berry” is

  183. Rab says:

larryt39 … Can I suggest you read what you typed again. Fact 1 : Palin had notes on her hand Fact 2 : ALL politicians use teleprompters …. what part of that don’t you understand?

  184. LiberalSlayer says:

This from the moonbat left who worships a mulatto messiah who needs a mobile telemprompter to remind him to flush the toilet. You’re funny.

Oh well, have at it. I am not a fan of Mrs. Palin anyway.

  185. Rab says:

Liberalplayer …… You’re not funny … have at it.

  186. armand says:

Palin gave a speech based on a few words scribbled on the palm of her hand.

Obama had to read some other guys words on a Teleprompter in front of a grade school class.

I worry more about Obama’s abilities than Palin’s.

  187. Zooey (sponsored by Planned Parenthood) says:

    Telepalmter

    Deal with it, f uckwits.

  188. Eugene Debs sponsered by the Church of the presumptious assumption says:

    LiberalSuckingCoward

Go FCUK yourself you racist pile of dogshit. My GOD you are so stupid and so brainwashed it is pitiful

  189. Eugene Debs sponsered by the Church of the presumptious assumption says:

Armand is not only STUPID, he is not only a LIAR he is too stupid to even know what a liar he is. The moron just spews the idiocy he is brainwashed with. What a pathetic punk

  190. wildweasel says:

    Who’s Andrea Mitchell again?

  191. karadagli61 says:

That’s just great, Andrea, but why didn’t you mention that every President has used a teleprompter during speeches for decades? I know it’s too much to expect you to mention his recent standup with the GOP Congressional mob, but still, why not defuse the stupid teleprompter meme while you have the chance?
