So did Colin Firth lose a bet? Or take a bet to prove he could do something other than be a good guy? I mean, consider the evidence. He might be playing a vampire. He’s definitely playing a thief who uses Cameron Diaz for evil. He’s playing Bill Freaking Haydon in the Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy adaptation, of which news how was I not previously informed? Whatever the cause, I’m sort of absurdly excited for the change in emphasis. I have no idea how well he’ll pull it all off, but this is a seriously juicy project slate.
