Ali Gharib is a national security reporter for ThinkProgress.org covering U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, particularly Iran. Before joining the Center for American Progress, he wrote and blogged for Inter Press Service as well as the Columbia Journalism Review’s website, ForeignPolicy.com, and AlterNet, among other outlets. Ali holds a B.A. in philosophy from Boston College, a M.S. in philosophy and public policy from the London School of Economics, and an M.S. in journalism from Columbia University.
