Agrees with Senator from Alabama’s remarks. Need he say more?

Claims a University of Georgia study says the average temperature in America dropped 1° in the last century [don't know what the heck he is referring to].

High prices for gasoline are my constituents number one issue.

Some people in this body want to enact legislation that would increase the price of gas.

This bill will attack citizens at the pump and increase job losses.

It will force companies to raise prices and opening them to competition from other countries, or it will move companies to other countries where environmental regulations are lacking. [Note to Chambliss -- what do you think is been going on already?]

Bill could be more fair and equitable. Must ensure it will not stymie economic growth.

We cannot burden our children and grandchildren with increased energy costs.

A vote for cloture on this bill is a vote to increase gasoline prices.

Just since Jan of 07, the temp has dropped 0.774 degrees celsius ( see temp graph here). I’m a bit fuzzy on the celsius to fahrenheit conversion, but a WAG puts that right around one and a half degrees (1.5) fahrenheit, and it’s a world wide figure, not just America.

Plus the 30′s were scorching hot in the USA (we had the best – hell practically the only – historical climate network back then).
I’ll see if I can scare up the USA only numbers for the last century, but I wouldn’t bet against the Georgia University being right.

How about you? Want to put some money where your mouth is?
