"President Signs Disaster Declaration For Missouri River Flood In Iowa"

On Monday, President Obama declared a major disaster exists in Iowa and ordered federal aid to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the six counties struck by Missouri River flooding, beginning on May 25 and continuing. The federal government will assume roughly 80 percent of the costs. A federal disaster has already been declared for North and South Dakota and a federal emergency in Nebraska for the Missouri River flood.
