Obama Bashes Rick Perry: ‘A Governor Whose State Is On Fire Denying Climate Change’ | President Barack Obama embraced global warming as a way to attack his Republican rivals for the 2012 election at a fundraiser in San Jose Sunday night. “You’ve got a governor whose state is on fire denying climate change,” Obama said, referring to Gov. Rick Perry (R-TX). Wildfires, fueled by global warming pollution, have wracked Perry’s state. In contrast, Obama argued he supports a “fact-based” America.

Update

The Perry campaign expressed outrage that President Obama would call out the governor for his rejection of scientific reality. β€œIt’s outrageous President Obama would use the burning of 1,500 homes, the worst fires in state history, as a political attack,” Perry spokesman Mark Miner told ABC News.
