After watching thousands gather outside the White House to protest the Keystone XL pipeline, I tuned into last night’s nail-biting loss against the New York Giants on television. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to see the banner that the League of Conservation Voters flew over Gillette Stadium.

It’s neat to see certain things that transcend ideology that can continue to unite people of different stripes. It’s not like the stands of Foxboro Stadium are populated only by liberals or conservatives. I guess sport is the only thing left like this?
