We have confirmed with Google the source of the problem and removed it. The site is back up and safe, though the error message will display until Google rescans. My apologies for any inconvenience this has caused.

  1. clays says:

But no mention of what those issues are?

  2. Eric Schubring says:

The warning said the site may harm your computer and referred to a malware. Need I, we be concerned?

  3. White says:

Yes, Eric is right, but a full read of the message indicated that by Google’s own criteria, there were zero threats, yet it “concluded” that the site was a threat to users’ computers. In other words: 0+0+0=too much!!

How long does it take Google to re-scan? Should have been done hours ago.

  4. Mark E says:

Although I’m not worried about harm to my computer, I would be interested in the geeky details for my own edification.

    • Leif says:

      Others as well.

    • Chris Winter says:

Yes, me too. (I know you’re not supposed to say that as a reply… <G>)

Several sites I frequent have had trouble recently. DeSmog Blog linked to a domain parking site for two days. The Green Grok seems to have system problems; it’s been down for two weeks. NASA Watch suffered a DDoS attack (It’s OK now.)

All this is probably coincidence. But it’s curious.
