Democrats are a big joke. Actually, let me rephrase, the PEOPLE that vote for them are the BIGGER jokes.

The whole Michael Fox ordeal. Moron: you're supporting Democrats because you're just another Hollywood elitist. Republicans in Missouri and Maryland ACTUALLY SUPPORT STEM CELL RESEARCH (Look at the voting history in those respective states). Amendment 2 in the Missouri election is simply a cloning bill. Of course, the idiots of this country fall for it and fall for him.

There's a reason why idiots like Olbermann and Katie Couric's ratings are lower than dirt currently. It's one simple reason and I fall into this category: the silent majority.

Whatever happened to the people that posted on here. Simple: you can't debate me because you have no facts.

>>>Chris Wallace, the tool son of a legitemate newsman, does Fox News’ bidding, by inviting former President George Clinton (errr…no, but that would be interesting), Bill Clinton, on under false pretenses.

those "false pretenses" is the way it should be. I'm sick of "journalists" asking politicians questions like "how's the weather" and "how are your kids doing." What Chris Wallace did was plain and simply: Classic

>>>He then attempts to ambush him, and effectively blame the failed war on terror on Slick Willie. He was decidedly outmatched.

How the hell was Wallace outmatched? Clinton lost his cool, called him a conservative hit job, insulted him for minutes and Wallace lost??? Oh....I never realized asking a strict straightforward question was an "ambush." That's what's wrong with this country. Everyone thinks what Wallace did was maddening...oh wait, that's because everyone loves Clinton.

>>>The Republican response? We can’t believe Clinton lost his cool. See, it’s not about how Clinton argued, point-by-point, and won.

He did not win pal - get it straight. Just another "intellectual" liberal on here trying to be "independent."

>>>And if Iraq is central to the War on Terror, then we ought to evaluate it in that light. It’s been a dismal failure. And it’s made Al Q much harder to fight.More in a comment… […]

Yeah, it's been such a dismal failure. Keep watching ABC News for your facts. Fact of the matter is that the typical US city is even more violent than all of Iraq combined. It's just the liberal media enjoys taking one event and making it the national news.

[...] Bear with me. As many of you have noted, I've been absent/busy/lazy lately. But I've been thinking about a few things, and I want to get them down on the site, before I forget. In particular, there's this startling realization:Democratic propaganda is about "what" they say, Republican propaganda is about "how" they say itSo, following the "read more", there'll be a bunch of links to illustrate this dichotomy. But I think the recent success of the Republican machine reflects some of the values of this country's people. That is, there are a lot of lazy people, a bunch of people with low confidence, and a few incompetents as well...and rather than evaluate the messages themselves, these people evaluate the delivery, and how it makes them feel. (It's the charismatic on TV vs. radio election issue, blown all out of proportion.)'cause, frankly (and I'll say it again), there's not a single success you can point to in the WWWWhitehouse, such that they ought to have been re-elected.Here's a smattering of evidence of my theory, presented out of order, because that's better than not presenting it at all:Chris Wallace, the tool son of a legitemate newsman, does Fox News' bidding, by inviting former President George Clinton (errr...no, but that would be interesting), Bill Clinton, on under false pretenses. He then attempts to ambush him, and effectively blame the failed war on terror on Slick Willie. He was decidedly outmatched. The Republican response? We can't believe Clinton lost his cool. See, it's not about how Clinton argued, point-by-point, and won. It was how he responded, his emotional behavior. Condi, herself an angry person, "disputes" Clintons claims by repeating, over and over "he's wrong." She doesn't lay out the facts because, really, nobody wants to evaluate those pesky things. I seem to have lost the link, but Chris "even dbsmall could kick my butt, and he's a lover, not a fighter" Wallace tried to explain in a subsequent statement that he was frightened, because Bill Clinton's a big man and he touched the paper. He was frightened, with security and cameras rolling, of a 60 year old man with heart trouble.Or how about if you evaluate what the Bushies have said about Afghanistan and Iraq? We were going to get Osama Bin TauntingW "Dead or Alive", and we totally won in Afghanistan, and were able to move on to Iraq. 'cept, the Taliban's making a comeback. And if Iraq is central to the War on Terror, then we ought to evaluate it in that light. It's been a dismal failure. And it's made Al Q much harder to fight.More in a comment...
>>>>># 37 — There is only one man that could clean up Bush’s mess, and he can’t be president again.
>>>>>But he can, he can. The rules are against serving more than two terms consecutively. He could have run back in 2004. It’s never been done, that’s all. Check it!

Actually, didn't Grover Cleveland do so?

what is so wrong with debating?

Specifics pal.

I love the "both sides are flawed" arguement - 99% of the time this is mentioned, you slowly expose the fact you're actually a liberal. It's annoying that these people call themselves "independents" when they're truly liberals. Just say you're a liberal. It's better to be a liberal than hide yourself and say you're "independent."

It’s better to be a liberal than hide yourself and say you’re “independent.”

I think its clear that the so called facts these "conservatives" are referring to don't exist.

Since when is it okay to abandon real truth and thought for nonsense to push an agenda?

What is wrong with recognizing that we are in Iraq for the wrong reason? Why is it more important to pretend the Republican cause is right than to recognize the truth, that both parties are flawed.

Why is it wrong, or considered un-Christian, to say that what Bush is doing is wrong...when our service men are loosing their lives, and Bin Laden is not connected?

What is so wrong with truth?

>>>The dems are the ones who can’t feel shame?
Umm, watched the news lately?

oh, you mean Foley? yeah, he isn't guilty yet though interestingly enough. Until one's GUILTY can we conclude issues. Dems can feel guilty. Reid and Jefferson are the 2 latest examples amongst many.

>>>And guess who were our leaders during that “greatest generartion” period? Democrats– twenty years straight.

What's very interesting is why is it that it was okay for FDR to do what he did during WWII, but Bush is wrong during the War on Terror? FDR did things equivalent, if not even more devastating, than Bush is doing today.
Personally, it's the greatest generation in battlefront. Domestically? FDR frankly is responsible for all the mess today. Yes, his new deal was a short-term solution, now it has created the greatest bureaucracy that we're facing today in the US Government.

>>>Now how are we doing these days? Truman wouldn’t have stood for any Abramoff, I can tell you.

Yeah, like it was freakin crystal clean back in those days *rolls eyes* - you don't measure evil by one man controlling more money than the other controlling.

By the way, why hasn't anyone on this board answered my questions? I guess you don't have an answer for them *shrugs*

And guess who were our leaders during that "greatest generartion" period? Democrats-- twenty years straight.

FDR took us out of the depression, won us WWII, and Truman started us on track to win the Cold War. I don't think we had many years of Republican congress during that time, if ever. My grandfathers fought WWII as well. And they also knew enough not to get hoodwinked by Republican plutocrats.

We interred the Japanese citizens of the US for a long period of time under the administrations of two democrats durting the second world war. The conditions they were held in makes Gitmo look like club med and yet nobody ever accused either administration of "torture". Maybe because at that time those in the media understood what was at stake and didn't want to undermine the effort to end the fascist regimes of Hitler and his allies. Unfortunately over the years our country has become a nation of crybabies who are afraid to offend anyone. Now we seem to be more concerned with protecting the rights of people who want to kill us rather than preventing them from accomplishing that goal. We seem overly concerned with what some rogue nations might think of us if we dare protect ourselves in an aggressive manner and god forbid we do anything without the blessing of the UN.

The Greatest generation was a proud generation who fought like hell and defeated the greatest enemies the US ever faced. Now their decendants have pissed all over that great legacy in favor of a "let's try and figure out why they hate us" mentality. The greatest generation knew that kind of thinking was just plain stupid because they knew that you cannot reason or appease those who want to destroy your way of life. Unfortunately too many brainless Neville Chamberlain types have the ear of the media these days. The greatest generation understood that defending liberty would be bloody and innocents would get hurt. Nowadays even though we have smart bombs and all this technology designed to minimize collateral damage, talking heads still accuse our forces of targeting civillains. Where is their outrage over what the terrorists have been doing for over 30 years?

My grandfather fought in ww2 and I wish I had gotten to know him better. Years from now when these soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan are talking to thier grandchildren they will have to tell them how the media and some in political office compared them to the Nazis MY grandfather fought.

Shame...Something the democrats can never feel.

Ping, The Yemen government confirmed that Al Queda had been responsible for the Cole by the second half of November 2000.

Second, In that same interview, Clinton claimed that he authorized the CIA to kill Bin Laden so why did he need to have them certify that he was responsible for the Cole to go after him? We knew he had been responsible for several bombings and he is the leader of Al Queda so when the Yemen government confirmed that Al Queda was responsible for the Cole, why did Clinton need to wait for the CIA to authorize Bin Laden's involvement before responding?

Ping, Clinton never gave the CIA or the military the go ahead to get OBL and then claims he came closer than anyone has to getting him. Well, his admin tipped off the Pakistanis who tipped off OBL about that 1 missle attack, and US forces on the ground have missed him by a few hrs on several occasions since we attacked afghanistan.

The interview shows the real Clinton, A man used to getting softball questions from the media cannot hadle a real question and attacks the guy asking it. Yeah, what a great man. Pathetic.

[...] Last month, Fox’s Chris Wallace asked President Clinton why he didn’t respond to the Oct. 12, 2000 bombing of the U.S.S. Cole. He asked the question even though the “CIA and the FBI refused to certify that Bin Laden was responsible” until early 2001, which foreclosed the possibility of a full response during the Clinton administration.
fine, let me rephrase. Clinton might have cared (we can't read his mind) - but the actions during his presidency clearly proved he did not get the job done. In the modern age, say the last 3 decades, Carter did nothing, in fact, this guy blatantly showed he can't even solve any crisis whatsoever but basically put out of the freakin Olympics. Reagan came along and although terrorism still existed, he (at the time) curbed it most to a degree since terrorist activities were to a minimum towards the end of his term and George Bush's. Then Clinton came along and it started again. The guy was too distracted with Lewinsky and this so-called economy "of his."
