[...] Weekly Standard contributing editor Bill Kristol made an appearance on The Colbert Report last night, and host Stephen Colbert left Kristol looking like a bumbling fool. If you watched, Kristol sounded overmatched and stuttered repeatedly, leaving him “speechless” at one point. I guess he’s just not used to the world outside of the FOX News conservative beltway bubble. Think Progress has the transcript and Crooks & Liars, as always, with the video. Kristol let his hair down, so to speak, and explicitly exposed himself as wishing for military conflict with Iran. Spoken in jest? Come on, it’s Kristol, a neoconservative. We know he was serious.
