In the first ad buy for his re-election campaign, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) — who is currently in Iraq with his close ally Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) — makes a “wholehearted embrace” (sub. req’d) of President Bush, using “footage of Bush praising Graham for basing his ‘votes on conservative principles.’” Watch it:

Graham campaign spokesman Scott Farmer tells National Journal that “Senator Graham will continue to stand with the president.” Just as with waterboarding, Graham appears happy to walk in lockstep with Bush and McCain.
