African-American And Latina Women Suffer From Huge Gender Pay Gaps

According to the 2011 Progress of the World’s Women report, commissioned by the United Nations, American women continue to suffer from a wide pay gap, as they are paid on average 23 percent less than men. But the problem is even worse for African-American and Latina women. The study found that women in those groups are paid an average of 39 percent and 48 percent less than white men, respectively.
