In 10 States, Education Funding Has Been Cut 10 Percent (Or More) Below Pre-Recession Levels | The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities found that, in 10 states, “per student funding is down by more than 10 percent from pre-recession levels.” “The three states with the deepest cuts — South Carolina, Arizona, and California — each have reduced per student funding to K-12 schools by more than 20 percent,” the CBPP noted.
