REPORT: Latinas Are Lowest-Paid Workers In The United States

Latinas are victims of the nation’s largest pay gap, earning 40 percent less than white male workers, according to a report from the Labor Council for Latin American Advancement. In 2010, Latina workers earned an average of $508 a week, compared to $592 a week and $684 a week for black and white women. Latinas are also more often the subject of labor rights violations in the work place, the report found.
