According to an analysis of Federal Reserve data by Amir Sufi, Professor of Finance at University of Chicago Booth School of Business, middle class families have had 20 years of net worth accumulation wiped out by the Great Recession. The rich, meanwhile, experienced a much smaller decline, as these charts show:
