California Senate Candidate Revives Herman Cain’s 9-9-9 Plan | Perhaps thinking that he can sell the plan better than Herman Cain did, a Republican challenging Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) is touting his support for the failed GOP presidential candidate’s 9-9-9 tax plan. Dan Hughes, whom Cain has not endorsed, sent out a fundraising email touting the fact that he had signed onto Cain’s much-lampooned numerical tax scheme. Hughes’ email even included a statement from Cain himself, who praised Hughes for his willingness to be a “lieutenant in this ‘army of Davids’” fighting Feinstein’s “Goliath.” “The political class will see the light when they feel the heat,” Cain said of 9-9-9.
