The Pentagon is warning that if health care costs aren’t brought under control, the Department of Defense will become “a benefits company that may occasionally kill a terrorist.” Over the past decade, active and retired military health care and pension costs have more than doubled and will account for more than $100 billion in 2012. — Sean Savett
