Perdue Vetoes Abortion Bill Requiring A 24-Hour Waiting Period | Gov. Bev Perdue (D-NC) has “vetoed a bill that would have required women seeking abortions to wait 24 hours after state-mandated counseling and to undergo ultrasounds.” “This bill is a dangerous intrusion into the confidential relationship that exists between women and their doctors,” she said.
